So what i going on with Cam Newton?

He went down on what seemed a harmless play but got up limping, looks like they were messaging him left foot on the sidelines and he looked a littler dejected/pissed a minute later the showed him walking to the locker room with the trainers, no other word yet

I have never felt that officiating was very objective when it came to certain teams and I have my theories in regards to that - after all the NFL is first and foremost an entertainment business.

That being said, there is some truth to the fact that teams with poor personnel commit more noticeable penalties. Last year our offensive line was atrocious. You had Dawkins with his every-game brain-fart false starts, you had other linemen clearly over-matched and out of position holding defenders. It was quite often a train wreck on that side of the ball.

The influx of veteran talent on the o-line will go a long way to negating a bulk of our penalties. Savvy vets no how to play the game in a way that minimizes those noticeable penalties. Also, I think the coaching of the o-line has improved and Josh's command of the huddle - we should see this pay off this year.

My thoughts exactly, I think you said it better and more of what I was eluding to, we all look for signs of improvement this time of year, and I think the reduction of dumb penalties is a good sign.

  3. I could look this up but I'm throwing it out to you all, I didn't watch the Colts game, but it seems after two preseason games the penalties seem to have been somewhat held to a minimum, I think I've seen Spain flagged a couple times and we're only half way through the preseason, but it seems to me the talent improvements and the coaching is showing through. Thoughts.....

We will have 38 year old Luke Kuechly backing up Edmunds at MLB after the Panthers cut him to save $. He will be in training for his future coaching role with the Bills while providing “locker room leadership” and veteran knowledge, a “pros pro” according to Brandon Beane. He won’t realize he signed his life away to commit to The Process up north because he was coming off of his ninth concussion, but rumor is he always dreamed of living somewhere that didn’t schedule their fandom around nascar.

And I, for one, would still be O.K. with that signing!

On a separate note what’s up with the NFL Network? With the delay between the Giants and Jets, they’ve been showing highlights of other games. Evidently they have zero interest discussing the Bills and Colt!

They did show our first TD but nothing after that

  6. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more shuffling of players than there were at camp so far (injuries aside) seems Dawkins and Spain are locked on the left, Morse when healthy at center and just some experimenting on the right side. Hoping it helps build some continuity earlier  rather than later.

I remember Keith made some silly comment on his IG when he was released.  He said something like when the Titans play the Bills “I will put stamp on it.”  Huh!?!?!?  What the hell was that supposed to mean?

I was told it was an insult and do wonder if he had to apologize to Brandon Beane before he resigned

My guess would be the FO is still carrying a grudge, and that we signed him just to cut him again, then.beat him to IG to talk smack

Or they don't want to give up compensation and cap space for Rudolph and would rather take the risk with what they have.

At some point parting ways with future draft picks for established veterans isn't a bad idea, IMO..... especially when you need to see results on the field.

From what I read on PFT today, Randolph is in neogtiations with the Vikes on a longer term spread the payment out deal, although it said they are still far apart and may not actually reach a deal, the Vikes may not be actively shopping him until the talks fall through.

    He had to build TRUST.

    Get in sync with

the same will apply this season

hopefully this can be worked on in camp and PS

At least he will get first team reps this year and not start 3rd on the depth chart with a rotation, that plus a better chance our receivers in camp will still be on the team in December should help alot.
