  1. Biakabatuka was a beast! To say he was a bust is foolish. He is still the Panthers leading rusher after playing only 5 seasons. His career was cut short by injuries.
  2. He in Indiana at Colts camp again this year. Not sure if he is working with the holders.
  3. Thurman Thomas - 1995 at a bar in Charlotte. He just got off the plane and was a bit tipsy. Saw me and put me in a headlock because I had on a Kelly Jersey. Great guy. He wanted to chat with us longer, but former Buffalo sports guy Chuck Howard showed up and tried to get Thurman to talk. He was having none of that and spent time speak with me and my buddy. Poor Chuck tried and tried for 30 minutes to make headway with him. TT didn't like the way Chuck treated him during his sports anchor days in Buffalo. TT signed everything we put in from of him and posted for pictures. James Lofton - 1997 at another Charlotte bar after a Bills Panthers preseason game. He was surprised to be recognized and signed my game ticket. We spoke about some of his great games. I even bought him a beer. Very personable. Carlton Bailey - 2002 I did a story on him for my magazine on life after football. Funny and personable. Frank Reich - 2002 He was my coverboy for this issue on life after sports. He was one of my favorites growing up.
  4. I recommend: www.indeed.com www.linkedin.com - they have a great job search site and its a great place to network too. Here's another job search site I built in back in the day. I don't know if the links are current.
  5. My linkedin.com link whoreness. http://www.linkedin.com/in/mikemcbride
  6. I grew up in Allegany and there is no freaking way I'd let him root for the Bills again. His WNY card should be revolked and he should be taken to the Olean Center Mall where the townies can throw rotten eggs at him dressed in his Brady jersey. Oh yeah I live in Charlotte and have Panthers season tickets, but the Bills are still my team. SUCK IT Bandwagon turd burglar!
  7. The Castle Inn? Where in WNY did he grow up? I say no - stay on his bandwagon.
  8. My wife had a job interview in Fresno, right after we were married. I was amazed at the dirt and grime throughout the city. Ironically, one of the most amazing places on earth is only a 45-minute drive away.
  9. CAn anyone tell me what channel MSNBC is on directv?
  10. What a blessing to touch so many people. I've been in a funk since Friday and I never met the man.
  11. We need decent jobs to afford even those rock-bottom house prices. And please don't forget the high taxes you pay on those cheap houses.
  12. I left WNY in 1988, but it still feels like home to me. I am a Buffalo sports nut and everyone knows that. My neighbor is a former NFL running back and he constantly gives me a hard time about being a Bills fan. He doesn't understand the loyalty. My wife tells her friends anyone from WNY makes a great husband because no matter what happens, they are faithful. End Zone Crew do me a favor. Start changing the city, make it affordable for the many of us who would like to move back and have a decent job. Stop electing the same morons to office that tax the residents to death. I have many friends from back home and the only reason they left was a lack of opportunity.
  13. I am amazed at how many lives he touched. You can feel the raw emotions his friends had while speaking about him on Meet the Press this morning.
  14. I have my Bills stuff on today. How incredibly sad to lose a great man.
  15. Russert's Death affects Buffalo A nice quote from Thurman. Another nice tribute
  16. This was one of the thousands of tributes posted about Tim. I thought it was appropriate. "One final note about Tim that everybody has heard much about but that I can also attest to. That was his love of Buffalo. Tim could walk into a room of kings and potentates, but if there was someone in the room from Buffalo, anybody, that is whom he wanted to spend time talking to. As I said, what a loss." Ross Frommer New York City Go Bills!
