  1. yeah, but that 4th and one trick hitch out to Willis against Seattle was sweet. It worked so it was a great call. no?
  2. true, the guys upstairs (wait, Mularkey is upstairs) blew it, but he walked over slowly almost waited until the last second to throw it as if he was trying to beat the clock. cocky if you ask me.
  3. what exactly was the point of him stalling on throwing that flag? what a cocky douche.
  4. maybe, just maybe with the right personnell, MM knows how to call a game. Its making me sick though.
  5. my guess is if you're not 1st or second string, this regime is mainly concerned with what you can do on ST. Maybe Gates lacks the special team abilities that Shaud possesses. (same thing with Wire)
  6. glad we had to move up to the 1st round to get our starting NT...
  7. I'm guessing not. Whitner has those "intangibles" that Marv & co. think make up for less talent (i.e. love of the game, addiction to the film room, etc.)
  8. Can someone explain this one: Marv Levy, on passing on Leinart, said that the Bills WERE addressing the QB position by making the players on the field around him better. How exactly does he do this by picking 5 friggin defenders?
  9. have no idea what kind of $ he would demand, but if its a lot less than Moulds, maybe.
  10. Seen the ESPN Buffalo Bills claymation commercial? If you can laugh at yourself and where you are from, its a pretty funny commercial. Anyone know of a link for it?
  11. Since he is resigning, it would appear that MM is not entitled to the remainder of his contract. He must've really wanted to get out because I don't see him landing a HC job somewhere else. Maybe he's got no gumption and knows he is no more than a coordinator. I would guess that he could land an OC job.
  12. I don't think the Bills organization publicly announced that as a plan, but there was a lot of speculation in the media about it when we drafted him because (I believe) he played LT in college. If Gandy flops, I am not sure what the sollution is. I think Teague is going to be very important to JP's development (as long as the shotgun snaps can get to his hands) and Peters has NO experience at LT. Maybe try and land Verba if he's still around.
  13. Crosby's posteuring with this Swiss club is his way of picking the team he wants to land with (a la Eric Lindros). If he doesn't want to play for the team he lands with, he will threaten to play in the Swiss league, but it will only be a ploy. There is no way Reebok and Gatorade will let him do that; they probably have clauses in their contracts about it. On the other hand, endorsement deals often get boosted when a player is in a premier market, like NY or LA, so he probably would try to force getting traded there so he could make more money. In the long run, however, it might be the best thing for the Sabres to trade him if they get him (remember how the Nordiques got Forsberg and a bunch of other good players for Lindros)
