  1. I'd throw Antoine Winfield in there. The Vikes paid out the ass for him, but he's continued his big-hitting ways in run support, and has tallied 11 INT's in 3 seasons there, after compiling only 6 INT's in 5 seasons in Buffalo.
  2. I had a little trouble sleeping last night, which is very rare for me. I usually only get about 6 hours a night, but I'm out cold from 12am-6am pretty consistently. Last night I couldn't fall asleep until close to 3am. #7 was not warmly received by my girlfriend, so I had to opt for #6. I passed right out...
  3. 40th anniversary of being better than five other teams!!! "Toronto to Celebrate the End of an Era" What era was that? Actually winning? Here's to 40 more- Blow Leafs Blow!!!
  4. Huh? 54.6% does not lead ANY league in completion percentage. He did lead the league with five games where he compiled a passer rating under 40...including three games under 10....But teams are clammoring for him.... EDIT: MY BAD, THOUGHT YOU WERE REFERRING TO GROSSMAN...YES CARR LED THE LEAGUE IN %
  5. This one is going to be tougher than your usual undertakings, crayonz...You're making a solid run at it though.... For a career 43% knuckleball shooter, including 35% from 3-pt land, Timmy should've been more concerned about himself putting it in the hole rather than John Amechi... Wait a minute...those wardrobe makeover guys on TV are gay????
  6. Yes the extension was an error. I can't imagine having so much success and not being able to stomach each other enough to talk to even speak to one another...Poorly handled on all sides...
  7. Look at his games from October 16th on and you tell me if you'd be clammoring to make a trade for the guy. Try watching him play instead of watching a Sportscenter highlight of his one nice pass. Throws off his back foot, horrible decisions, completely fearful of blitzes, injury prone...The Bears were winning in spite of him...Their incredible defense got them out of many bad situations that Grossman put them in... I'd take Carr in a heartbeat over him, and I don't think any team in their right mind would feel comfortable with Rex Grossman as their franchise's future.
  8. Try again...AJ had nothing to do with the hiring of Marty...It was all Butler. AJ definitely screwed up the management of the relationship, but Marty wasn't his choice.
  9. Has a 14-2 team that was an idiotic fumble away from the AFC title game EVER been in such shambles??? Two months ago, everyone (including myself) was calling Eli Manning an idiot for blocking a contract with San Diego because he and his family felt it was a "questionable organization." He doesn't look quite so dumb now....
  10. The Bears should take a look. They could easily give up Grossman, Griese, or Orton (or two of them) plus maybe a 5th rounder to get Carr. Kubiak has a relationship with Griese also... I think Carr would be a pretty good fit in Chicago...Decent OLine, decent run game, a defense that will keep you in every game. Carr got sacked a ton in Houston- some his fault, some the O-line's fault, but mainly because they had such a bad team, they got down early and had to throw...Defensive ends were pinning their ears back...He'd be playing with a lead most of the time in Chicago...
  11. Whatever those stats are, 1 in 10 are supposedly gay or something like that, chances are Tim Hardaway has played with and against many gay people. He's sat with them at dinner and on airplanes, probably even showered and changed in the same room with a few gays. If it's not a problem when you don't know they're gay, why does it become a problem when you do know? Tim Hardaway hates gays, that's his choice....I hate overweight point guards with no jumper.
  12. I remember in the early 90's when the indoor lacrosse first came to Buffalo, the Aud was jammed to the rafters with 16,000+ spectators. The Buffalo News released the player salaries, and the best guys in the league were making about $200/game, with some as low as $50/game. I think the players have since unionized and do a bit better now, but somebody made a pretty good dime off of those guys for a few years...Still today, the players all play out of love for the game, they have real full-time jobs... but the early 90's profit margins had to be incredible, at least for the Bandits...
  13. Did you spend the next 10 minutes staring at the circa-1956 TV's they had up in the Blues, hoping it would show a replay rather than just the score and clock?
  14. I still watch a few games here and there, but nothing close to college. I watch many more NCAA games than NBA. I always take a look what's on, especially the TNT games, and I'll watch if I like the matchups. Suns, Mavs, Bulls usually play up-tempo, exciting games. NBA is hard to get into the game until late though...An early 18-point lead usually means nothing as the game is often tied with 4 mins to go. And the timeouts have to stop. I feel like each team gets 14 TO's a half, but they use them all in the last three minutes. These guys are pros...You'd hope they could come down the court at least one time at the end of a game and actually execute a play without the coach drawing it out on the dry-erase board... I don't care too much about the team scores, but I check the boxscores everyday to see what the following players did: LeBron Ray Allen Shaq/Wade Arenas Nash Kobe Chris Paul
  15. Fatty FedEx just barnstormed her way through here tater...I asked her if she went to the Bills home opener last year, she said she didn't. Sorry to disappoint. I'm telling you, this chick is a bruiser. She said if it's a Sunday, she was probably out riding her motorcycle. Then she grabbed the packages off the counter, lifted her leg and farted, and was on her way. (I may have embellished the last part...The motorcycle is true though...And she does smell funny...)
  16. Oh wow, so many, depends what I'm ordering-- Italian- Tough call...So many good ones...I'll stay local and say Chef's and Cecelia's in Buffalo. Never steered me wrong. Mexican- El Cholo in LA Prime Rib- Kennedy's Cove, Clarence, NY Steak- So hard to say...The best filet I have ever had was probably at Craftsteak in MGM Grand in Vegas...(May have tasted better because I was up about $2500 and drunk...) Seafood- Chops City Grill, Naples, FL. A fine steakhouse, but the seafood menu is unreal...Changes with what's fresh that day...Incredible Sea Bass.....Also a nod to Blue Water Grill in NYC, never had a bad meal there. Scene + Meal- Tao in Manhattan. My seat was back-to-back with Dr. Dre Love the Japanese place in "Countries of the World" at Epcot Center too. Tantalus and The Roycroft Inn are both fantastic places in East Aurora, NY...You'll find something you like there...
  17. That figure is not what MLS will pay him, or what they paid for him. That $250M encompasses his current lucrative endorsement deal with his sponsors (Adidas being the primary) as well as future earnings off of planned marketing endeavors in the future, once he is in the U.S. He will get a cut of jersey sales, he is planning on expanding his soccer academy in L.A., televison appearances, commercials, billboards, etc. He will also continue to be an asset for Real Madrid, who will maintain a portion of his image rights. It is believed that his true salary will be around $8-$9 million per year, which is easily makes him the highest paid player in MLS, by many millions. However, MLS as a league is only on the hook for less than $1M of that, with the rest coming from the owners of the LA Galaxy and league-financier AEG Group. Beckham contract linky From the article:
  18. Is she for or against the chocolate thunder?
  19. There was a Simpsons episode where Moe's went trendy and changed the name to m....That was a great episode...
  20. There's a great place called the Rawhide on 21st & 8th in Chelsea, NYC. Great for a boys night out. I think it's a biker bar, because there's a lot of dudes and they all seem to be wearing tight leather...
  21. A tornado just blew through here in Amherst, NY... But it turns out it wasn't weather-related, rather it was just the loud, fat dyke that picks up the FedEx everyday.
