Ralph Wilson turned it ON. Now it's Terry and Kim's job to turn it around. Much respect for both

I'd go as far as to say they've ALREADY turned it around don't you think?  This organization is trending straight upwards as far as I'm concerned, and from the looks of things, I expect it to continue that way.

Remember when we used to be so bad, we had to pay the big name free agents a gozillion dollars to come to Buffalo?  Now they WANT to come here, and from the looks of things, they're going to WANT to come here specifically to play with Josh Allen 👍

He has made some plays in what has been the hardest offseason for rookies due to now preseason games and limited training camps.

No thank you to Takk. Watch him sign with Seattle or La. You want to know why Dan Quinn and Thomas Dimitrof are home for the holidays? Look no further than Takk and Vic Beasley. Neither one of these two displayed one ounce of “dog”. Beasley at least had some production the SB year. They both seemed to approach football like a hobby or their side gig.

I swear Dimitrof does NOT pick well when it comes to the defensive side of the football!!  The Falcons haven't had a relevant defense in what feels like decades.

If McKinley fell all the way down to us in waivers I'd most definitely kick the tires...

  3. Fantastic freakin read!!  I am pumped after reading that I swear.  Every week this kid impresses me in a new way.  I love the relationship that Allen and Daboll are developing.  One thing I'd also like to point out is that Josh Allen has had the luxury of having stability at all coaching positions for him, something many young QB's that come out aren't always afforded.  And not just stability, but excellent coaching/mentoring as well.  I feel for QB's like Darnold, or even Bills qb's of the past who's careers were ruined(or never got to grow) because of instability or poor coaching.

I hope that Allen and Daboll get to play together for the next 10+ years, although we may not get to see that happen if Allen continues to shine and this offense performs like this the rest of the year.  Daboll will probably be someone else's head coach.

But as far as right here and right now, I'm loving what we're all getting to witness.  The maturity and development of an All-Pro franchise quarterback, and a top-notch, upper echelon offensive coordinator....

I've never like Jones or Foxworth. Two peas in a pod and the combined IQ of that pod is 1.

    1?  Damn you're generous...

But seriously, after listening to those two tools, the ONLY logical thing I could think was "clickbait".  They are obviously ignorant, lack any semblance of real football knowledge, and are just a couple of desperate trolls.  It was almost comical.

  5. I'm lovin every minute of this. It is truly, truly a thing of beauty watching this 24 year old kid develop and grow the way he has.  Every week he finds a new way to impress me.  I say with 2,000% confidence that we have officially found our franchise quarterback, and I wouldn't be one bit surprised if he shatters every single one of Jim Kelly's records by the age of 30.  That's how good this kid has the potential to be.

You know what's also funny?  During the Seahawks game someone commented that Allen is like a linebacker in a QB's body.  Didn't they say that about another of our QB's??  🙂

  6. Not sure if this is something that's been brought up, but could alot of his injuries be attributed to the fact that he's a bit undersized for a typical LB at his position?  I know with all the hybrids now playing positions they're typically a little light in the arse for, could there be a link there?  Just curious.

When healthy, Milano is an awesome linebacker.  But it kinda makes me think about the question which employee would I rather have:  the one who's an absolute rock star when he's in there, but misses time off here and there, or the guy who does his job, what he's supposed to do, but nothing flashy, but he's at work every day, on time, never calls in sick, and works overtime when I need him to?

In regard to the draft, I say we go pass rushing DE r1, LB r2, CB r3

It certainly seems reasonable that lack of crowd noise contributes to the lack of false starts, illegal shifts etc.  Potentially, it could even contribute to less holding calls (D-line doesn't get a jump on O-line as easily so they're not at a disadvantageous position causing a need/desire to hold).  Can't think of a reason for DPI to be up, other than less effective pass rush, which is pushing it, or maybe just more passes in general.

Great point about the lack of crowd noise. You took the words right out of my mouth.  I was thinking the exact same thing.

This whole season in general has just been so crazy, so topsy-turvy.  But I'm still enjoying the hell out of it.  And heck, at the end of the day, if you think about it, there probably won't be much made of the lack of penalties called, because in the end, everybody wants to see an offensive fireworks show...for the most part I think.

Dont want to start another thread but am I the only one that thinks ESPN was crazy getting rid of Mike Golic and replacing him with Keyshawn Johnson. The guy sucked as a receiver he sucks as a radio host.

What are you talking about "sucked as a receiver"??  Did you forget he is a Hall of Famer???

Rose Bowl Hall of Fame 😄

Naw but seriously, I don't think he sucked as a receiver, but I definitely agree with you that I don't care for him as a radio host, and he was a horrendous downgrade from Golic, I really liked his commentary.

  9. Well said sir.  I concur 100%.  And I have no problem admitting that after the Patriots win, I was livid. I had never been mad after a victory in all my years as a Bills fan, and I let it be known, specifically to the tune of I was one who felt like Frazier needed to hand the play-calling duties over to McDermott.  But thanks to my fellow TBD'ers, they helped calm me down and relax.

Bottom line is, we have a GOOD football team that has the potential to be GREAT, and IMO, we still haven't played our best football!  This has been one helluva season, and to be honest, no matter what happens the rest of the year, I'm doing just like you said....I'm enjoying the hell out of this ride!!

Ive also noticed how a flick of the wrist travels 30 yards on a rope. Every time I see it I shake my head and question my lying eyes. I just can't remember ever quite seeing that before.

Same here.  Makes me wonder, how far would the damn ball travel if Josh cocked back and put his everything into a throw?  Might be like the Aaron Rodgers State Farm commercial where he's throwing the tennis ball with his dog, and on the last throw he chucks it and the ball disappears into the sky, and his dog just sits down. 😄

I don’t think it helps that we usually play and coach some ugly football when we play on nationally televised games, especially in prime time.

Most fans and several media members don’t watch a Bills game all year unless it’s prime time. Then when they watch us in prime time, we **** the bed and everyone laughs and says same ol bills.  “I thought Josh allen was good, he was nothing special, if not an average looking qb”.  The. They won’t watch them til the playoffs.

I’ve only seen 2 highlight shows so far and most of the talk has been about Russ. We got a little love, but it’s almost as if we were given an automatic 400 yards and 4 tds because we were playing the all time terrible Seattle D.

I wonder how things would’ve played out if the game was sunday night.

This x1000.  My sentiments to the tee. I was commenting in the other thread similar to this one the exact same thing.  Our narrative was almost always the same.  Buffalo would string a few decent victories together, heads would start turning, and the media would start to come around and say, "hey how bout Buffalo?"  We'd have a primetime game coming up, and all of a sudden people were on the bandwagon.  We'd go into the game not only favored, but picked to win by most analysts.  And then we would proceed to absolutely ***** the bed, and in impressive fashion.  And then next morning's articles would read, "Same old Bills."  Every time.

I finally have confidence in this team that this year, we will finally show up in primetime, starting with the 49ers.  I expect not only a victory, but a statement.

But as far as us not getting that attention,  that love, I'm good with that because we always seem to play better when we are the underdog.

  12. I don't mean to jump off topic fellas, but you know another thing that I notice watching Josh sling the rock?  And to be honest I've really been seeing it since week 2, although I'm sure he's been doing it all season.  Josh barely flicks his wrist and the ball comes out on a frozen rope.  I mean, damn near every throw, its like he's barely using any arm strength and the ball travels 20 - 40 yards like a LASER.  I'll be a monkey's uncle if there's ANY other qb in the league who even comes close to Allen's arm strength.  You know why there wasn't a throw off between Allen and Mahomes?  Because it would've been an embarrassment to Mahomes.  No disrespect, Mahomes is an absolute baller, but he couldn't touch Allen's arm strength with a ten foot pole.  All of the improvements he made in the off-season, one of the most unsung, IMO, was him learning to take a little pepper off his fastball.  And what is just effing insane?  This kid is 24 freaking years old.....My God.

Sorry for that little outburst.  Back to our regularly scheduled topic.  Yeah that was a great audible, rah rah rah...

You see, it was memorable - albeit tough.  A dome game probably not so much, especially Buffalo vs. Cleveland.  Even sounds like a freezing match of the incompetents 🥵

Nothing feels better than getting home or into a warm bar after a freezing home game at the Ralph.  Especially if you have dry feet!

Brother the game was terrible!!  We lost the game, but had a chance to win it on a last seconds field goal, but Lindell missed wide right...talk about adding insult to injury...

And I couldn't agree more....the best thing about that night was getting to my Uncle Reggie's house and seeing a table FULL of La Nova's chargrilled bbq wings and Leonardi's pizza!!!!

  14. Excellent write-up Virgil.  You echoed damn near all of my sentiments with regard to this game.  I also didn't have alot of confidence in us winning the game. I knew how bad Seattle's defense was coming in, but I still didn't pencil in a W.  Buffalo surprised the hell out of me.

After a win like that, I've changed my prediction for the rest of the games this season.  I can truly envision us going 13-3, with the only additional loss coming against the Steelers.

I was perfectly ok with only 6 seeds but I always thought the division winners should make the playoffs but not be guaranteed a home playoff game. So essentially, a 7-9 division winner would make it but be a 6 seed as opposed to one of the top 4

Agree 100%.  If they would've tweaked it to this, it would be perfect IMO.

No, that was a pre-covid change.  They added a third wild card and as a result eliminated the bye for the #2 seed.

OMFG that is horrible.  I don't agree with that at all.  Call me old-fashioned or something, but I don't think there was anything wrong with the old seeding.  If it ain't broke don't fix it!   At least I didn't think it was broke.
