  1. More or less the way it goes with every conference call.

Oh...and Whitner and Poz are FAR from "solid" players.

You are 100% about the conference calls! I work at home and my wife is home until my 4 year old goes to school next year. She finds it funny how I vent to her now that I am here and I tell her all the time "I work with mindless people who have no clue!"

For example on a recent call, Bob (idiot #1 in sales) "I like the 21% profit you have been getting from this project and would like to keep that with the new contract. I am going to reduce the new bid to only 75% of our current price to make sure we can continue making 21%." So, let me get this straight, I currently make 21% off a 12 million dollar annual contract and you want me to do the same work for 9 million and still make 21%! I sure hope we find some efficiency gains some where you idiot! By the way Bob, did you ever think of running for political office you are perfect.

As for TSW...there are some original thoughts and the Bills should monitor the sight and use it like a brain storming session no bad ideas just keep them coming.

  2. No way he gets past Denver. Denver needs a coach and a QB, plus they can add picks by dumping either Orton or Tebow. I think they keep Tebow unless they get a great offer.

Carolina also needs a coach and QB, so another opportunity for a package deal. Carolina could use the help since the team could use some marketing news. They can then try to move Claussen for picks.

This makes moving up harder as neither team is motivated to move out of their pick.

  3. He will never make round 2. He will be gone in the top 10 picks especially if Luck stays in college.

He is a great fit for a team that is improving and he can sit for one year. That would normally make him a late round 1 or early 2, but times have changed.

He would not have declared if the feedback he got was later than round one.

  4. I think we go to 4th then 2nd for round 3 and so on.

In other words there are 3 teams at 4-12 and round one is Denver, Buffalo, Cincinnati. The I seem to remember it rotates each round so round two is Cincinnati, Denver, Buffalo and round three is Buffalo, Cincinnati and Denver.

I am not sure, but is what I seem to remember.

  5. I can say after watching yesterday, Byrd needs to correct his approach or be gone. I know the dude got a pick six, but 2 times yesterday he had terrible angles on the deep balls. He is playing all deep passes like they are overthrown and he is going to make the catch. I am not sure if the coaching has changed him or what, but the guy does not meet the receiver, it is like he was told don't let anybody past you but he didn't understand it.

At least when you complained about a safety, like Kelso at the end of his career, he was late, but made the tackle. Byrd is on time, but in the wrong place going for the ball and can't recover for the tackle.

Maybe cutting him is too drastic, but some how wake him up!

  6. Of course they are directly related. Who do you think handed the guy the script of what to say? Who made the signage that went up on the scoreboard? There is a time and a place for this. That time was not with 5 mins left in the 4th quarter after your fans witnessed a beatdown by a team that's beaten you 15 straight times and after you've been out in the cold for 5 hours.

Nix didn't have anything to do with i t, but you can be damn sure Russ Brandon did. The fact is that this team has been focusing more on hyping a mediocre product rather than fixing the problems that have been plaguing this franchise for over a decade.

They have congratulated players before for career or season records during games the Bills are losing. I know it is hard to believe, but Brandon had nothing to do with those. I am sure the organization has set numbers for congratulations and Fitzy hit the number so the guy watching the stats told the guy with the microphone.

Maybe they should have waited for next week and if everything was going OK they could have asked the Jets PA guy to announce it.

  7. I feel guilty saying it but I've quietly been picking up pats players for fantasy football. With the finals this week Brady, bge, and Hernandez all should have good weeks I think. I just don't see how our D matches up yet. I figure best case I lose my league, but we finally beat Tom and Billy boy, worst case it's more of the same....

I am in my championship game this weekend (unless A. Peterson rushes for 200 yards and about 3 TDs) and I BGE and Hernandez. If Jos. Addai returns for Colts i can bench BGE, but they have both done very well for me especially last night.

I would rather have a Bills victory and get no points.

  8. I think that you mean NFL "Rewind" not "Replay". Rewind is the online subscription for $40 that is indeed awesome (I'm a biased subscriber). IIRC Replay is the shortened game that NFL Network shows at various times later in the week for most but not all games. It's also pretty good. But without TIVO it's hard to watch those games when they're on at 3am.

The 30 minute replays are part of the NFL ticket on Directv, not on the NFL network. They are played beginning at 12am Monday on 2 channels, I think 702 and 703. They run right through til Wed about 6am.

I love them, I can say this year I watch about 8-9 games per week this way, I work at home and have a TV in my office at home and watch during endless conference calls. I love to watch the AFC East teams the next team the Bills are playing.

  9. Yes 3-10 is not very good, but this team is transitioning, unlike it has done over the past 8 years. Players removed, players added and the more time guys like Carrington and Moates get the better they play.

This organization is at the bottom of the staircase, same place they have been for several seasons. The difference is the staircase is in better shape and has less steps to the top. I feel like I can see the top of the stairs for the first time in a while.

  10. If they're allowed to stand where they were standing, who really cares? How dare they break rules by following the rules.

*Obviously this point is moot if they're not allowed to stand there.

The NFL has rules for where players and coaches can stand. Look at the diagram,(Link; http://www.sportsknowhow.com/pops/football-field-pro.html) pink is for coaches and blue for players, nobody follows the rules that is why teams have someone responsible for keeping players in the right place.

I would love to see a video of the 5 minutes before the punt and see what the Jets sideline looked like. I am going to record the Jets 30 minute replay and see what I can find.

I don't think these guys were there to trip the gunner, but possibly to impede him.

  11. I have to admit I have always thought Fitzy was as far along as he was going to be, but I was wrong. What has amazed me the most about his season is despite not getting quality time through min camps and training camp, he was ready well the bell rang. He had a grasp of the offense and he has started 39 games in his career. 2.5 seasons is not a lot and there could be more improvement.

There is no one on this team that the final 4 games mean more too. I hope he plays well, he seems like a good guy and he could be around for 10 more years.

As for Mr. Luck when I watch him I find myself saying " That is what a QB should look like," he completely exposes the imposters from the past few drafts. It's like meeting sisters, the first one looks hot then you meet the other sister and you realize the first one was only avg.

  12. We completed a 20+ yard pass to Robert Royal?

    And he didn't fumble it!

What I noticed was right after the Royal completion with 1:33 left at the Cleveland 34 old Dicky runs the ball 3 times for a whopping 5 yards and settles for the 47 yard FG. That describes his entire tenure as coach of the Bills, almost, but not exactly.

  13. I am also a season ticket holder and drive from Albany for about 6 games per year. I have been doing since 1985 making every game before kids in 2000. I remember a game in 1986 also in early December with bad weather against Cleveland and the Bills lost. Early days of Kelly and he threw a long TD to Burkett early in the 3rd qtr that made the game close. I am pretty sure I remember shoveling a lot of snow off my seat for that game.

As for now, Albany still has a lot of Bills fans a solid Bills Backer group, but just not as visible with the losing. The TV coverage has been an issue since the mid 90's that is why when I had my house built I went with DirecTV and use the package when I am home. Also allows my wife to watch the game when she stays home.

  14. I saw Adam Caplans NEW Power Rankings after week 12. The Bills actually dropped a spot after "losing" to the Steelers. I find that kind of a slap in the face even though I don't really care about the power rankings. Meanwhile the Fish moved up 5 spots after beating the Raiders... to me there is no way there could be that kind of disparity, but I think he really just looks at the teams' overall record. I sent Caplan an email asking him to explain how his rankings were made, and that I was growing tired of reporters that don't really do much analysis... hell my 9 year old could do just as good a job at doing the actual Power Ranking, and he would be more accurate because he'd at least be able to back up what he says because he actually watches the games... Anywho... here's the link.

You can tell this guy makes it up as he goes "That was a brutal loss to the visiting Steelers last week, but the Bills are much more competitive this season than most thought was possible. While their defense surprisingly played well against Pittsburgh, they lack enough talent on that side of the ball to be competitive in most games."

Is it me or does this statement contradict itself? Plus, look at every game since the bye. Bills are competitive in all of them.

Where do you think the Bills go with a victory this weekend over the #23 Vikes?

  15. I agree he did looked horrible out there in the first half but was much better in the second half. I think Poz should stay, not just because i have his jersey, but because we need a MLB of the future and he has already had a good learning year with lots of vets around to help him learn it. I think Poz play depends a lot on the d-line push. If they could keep lineman off of him, he is as good as it gets a instincts and tackling are concerned.

You are 100% correct Poz was eaten up by offensive lineman this week and that has not been happening the past few weeks. Most linebackers are great because they are free to move to the ball on most plays. It is compounded in this game because the Steelers are great at getting lineman to the 2nd level.

  16. I didn't think they put enough time back on the clock. If they are reviewing from the end of the play then they are saying it only took the Bills 3 seconds to get the ball spotted and spiked.

That does not seem possible to me. I will watch the replay tomorrow to see how much time is on the clock when Nelson is down and the play is over.
