Bean's grade on the trade is "incomplete".  Let's see how it all turns out but I have a sneaky suspicion that a year from now Bills fans will be very happy with what down today.

Not all. There will be some chuckleheads who’ll stand their ground even if this trade proves otherwise.

And you know who they are.

Hard pass and I liked him coming out of the draft because he sounded like a Harry Potter character.

I'll let someone else take that chance coming off a torn ACL and a torn Achilles.  Maybe the Rams give him $8.5m.  We'll find someone through the draft and if that doesn't come to fruition sign someone like Murray like we did last year.  I'm holding out hope for Zeke Elliott personally.

    And it’s DE/pass rusher

Rousseau has not exactly lived up to expectations thus far, we lost our best pass rusher in Floyd and we have an aging soon to be cut next year in Von Miller.

While I don’t see it as even a good pass rushing class, it wouldn’t surprise me if we selected one pretty high in the draft given the need for it.

Which would be a huge mistake.

As much as I like to bash the Jets, if they have the money to throw

around, this is a good signing.

They don’t need Williams to be fully healthy. They have Hall and Wilson as their main offensive weapons. Williams will be great as a complimentary piece who ideally can play in like 60% of the games. It’s a bit of a luxury signing for them.

Luxury? These are Jets. There’s no luxury here. With all these wonderful draft picks and Rodgers and Tyron Smith, etc they know this upcoming season is critical for the organization. Heads will roll if this goes south. They can’t afford luxury.

Jets trying to add Clowney also. They’re loaded. And they have a top 10 pick. Yikes. They remind me a lot of Tampa when Brady got there.

They’ve amassed some talent. Let’s see how cohesive on the field. I’m not sold.

It's hard for me to hate on the possibility of another Eric Wood anchoring the O-line for another decade. I'd prefer WR or S, but we can get decent fits there in rounds 2-3 and a center would let McGovern stay at LG.

Look - I'm all for safety first, but not in this case.

I didn’t presume. I did my homework on Samuels with analytics, scouting reports, and how he was used in Washington and with Joe Brady in Carolina. I expect to see mostly the same in Buffalo with slightly better stats. Samuel’s career yards per reception is not impressive, and isn’t a big play threat despite running the 40 yard dash in 4.31 seconds which means he doesn’t play fast.

    Sounds rather......presumptive.

The WR depth in this draft is strong. Why spend $8M per year on a JAG like Samuel who’s lucky to get 100 targets when you can draft a WR for a lot less money to do the same? Once again, Quintessential bad asset management by Beane.

Also, Samuel lines up 53% of the time in the slot which will take snaps away from mostly Shakir followed by Kincaid which is a huge mistake. When Samuel lines up as a X Receiver he’ll compete for snaps with the player we draft.

In 2023, Samuel’s snap share was 56.7% which is what I envision he’ll get here in Buffalo. In my opinion that’s not a good return on investment when I could draft a WR for a lot cheaper in a strong receiver draft.

Hollins shouldn’t have been signed for up to $3M per year either when we could’ve drafted a WR on Day 3 to do the same or more for a lot less money.

You presume to know how CS will be utilized.

    You shouldn’t.

I like the signing and value.

Maybe it's a "grass is always greener" mindset, but how is Gabe Davis worth 1.5x Samuel or Hollywood Brown in the open market?  I understand  that he's younger, but his health has always been an issue.  What am I missing?  He had one historic game several years ago, but otherwise has been very pedestrian.  He never had a 1,000 yard season, never had 50 receptions... despite being in a pass heavy offense with a great QB, and 3 different OCs had a desire/need to get him more involved.

Everyone watched that 200 yard, 4 TD playoff performance and thinks it carried over.
