1. Actually CN was the backup. Rogders was third most of the year.

So if Kirwian said that than it just goes to show how much he actually knows.

    636233

He finished 3rd. Rogers got more time at the end of the season

Truthfully I don't have a clue about the GB qb depth chart. i was lying to support my statement

  2. Now is this an actual rumor, or is this just the sirius host reading pat kirwian's column and running it. I mean, put me on the radio, and i could go on at length and make up all sorts of rumors based on some of the articles about moulds.

Trading JP before hes given a fair shake would be far and away the dumbest move that Marv could do. If they trade JP, i will have a tough time giving marv the benefit of the doubt as i am now.

They (Kirwian) discussed CN first. I'll paraphrase. He's the 3rd on GB. Why move to another team to be the third?

Logic says someone in Buffalo said he wouldn't be the third here.

Does that mean Losman goes? No

Does it mean it might make sense to move him if they dont like him? yes

All they said was that if they didnt like JP they could look at moving him.

There are 0 people on this form that truly know the interaction between JP and the team. There are positive and negative rumors. Losman seems to swing both ways for a lot of things. If he's not liked, and more importantly not believed in, why keep him?

Nothing more than speculation, but it is logical

  3. I hear ya man, loud and clear. You would think this to be common knowlegde by now  ;)

There are many teams that address more than one need in the offseason. We might be one of them.

Quarterback is a need. We have a 3rd year quarterback who has suffered major injuries in both seasons. You both talk about potential....I just haven't seen it. He's been bad way more often then he's been good. I would say he has potential to be a bust.

  4. Well, then cross cutler off your little fantasy list, because he wasnt a winner anywhere either. Unless you call QB'ing a team to a 5-6 record in their best season as great.

JP isnt going anywhere, and i'm damn glad.

    635205

Where in my entire post did i mention Cutler???????????????

As far as a fantasy list everything i stated is accurate. Losman couldn't even win the starting job at UCLA and so he moved to the powerhouse of the south Tulane. They won a lot of games didn't they?

Celebrate your mediocrity and be happy to have JP for 2 more injury plagued years!

  5. I realize Losman has only had 8 starts but honestly this staff has no connection to him. This staff didn't draft him. He's not "their guy" in that sense. Now that they might think he could be the qb of the future, but it's not out of the realm of possibilty that they could take a qb.  I'd gladly drop Losman for Matt Leinart for cutler or young no thank you.

    No ties. No commitment.

JP's history - he was benched for poor performance. He was out because of injury. Twice! His not playing wasn't all due to the prior staff loyalty to Holcomb. They needed Losman to succeed more than anyone.

Unfortunately for all of us, he's not a winner. Never has been. Plus he's not very accurate!

I say cut him, play Holcomb and draft a Rookie. Maybe in the first, but not necessarily. Whitehurst is an option and so is Brodie Coyle.

However, I am a fan of ML and his additions so far. If JP stays, then its probably the right thing for the team.

  6. While I hate the logic, there is something to be said for the fact that Neal seemed to be the ONLY Patriot to start all 16 games last season-- at his natural position-- and still NE made no substantive efforts to retain him.  This is not the "emerging player" lost in the depth chart scenario seen with many prospects (Triplett chief among them).  It stands to reason that after getting a good look at him, they weren't impressed enough to keep him around, even at the modest salary level they tend to offer their veterans-- there's been no press (I've seen) that indicates the Neal rebuffed any offer from the Pats.

In most cases, this is a squalid kind of reasoning that doesn't seem to take us anywhere; but it might very well apply here that Neal is an interesting candidate and a prospect at a position for which we have very few, but hardly someone we can pencil in as a prospective starter, or even a rotational in-liner.

Didn't Logan Mankins play pretty well all last season?

they may see this draft full of guards and believe they can get another younger upgrade.

  7. why did they draft rivers , because DB sucked . DB had 3 years and  JP 8 games .

    633134

    2002 San Diego Chargers 16 16 526 320 60.8 3284 6.24 52 17 16 24/180 40 4 76.9

    brees stats 2002 - 3200 yards 76.9 rating

Although a down year in 03, clearly some potential

Lossman - has shown the potential to ride out the season on the bench due to injury or poor performance

  8. ill discuss it all day...... trust me. i just wont waste my time with people who are going to flame away with lame points as it seems like so many people on here do. and plus i know im right! if someone wants to prove me wrong go a head. but i just dont see it being possible. i know i may sound like a conceited prick, but im just being brutally honest. so dont say im a tard, when im right and just dont want to be bothered with flame comments. its nice to see that there are quite a few of us out there who are on the same page. i was losing faith in many bills fans. this has made my day, reading your guys responses. GO BILLS! GOOD LUCK JP!

    630049

    you're a tard

  9. so that we had a qb who has proved he can play.

Schaub would come in and start here - automatic

Vick and LOSSman / Holcomb have the same problems - they have a bunch of talented receivers that never get yards because the qbs can't find open receivers

make the trade! - not that Atlanta would - because hes a great insurance policy

  10. I'd much rather have brees and his surgically re-paired shoulder then Culpepper playing for Miami. Culpepper has had one down season, playing without a running game, or randy moss.  With the Likes of Ronnie Brown, Randy McMicael, Chris Chambers possibly ricky williams,  and his ability to beat you with his arm and legs  It could turn out to be a nightmare for us.  Not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he's a great quaterback, and eons better then the schmoes we have.

    628870

is Dante even going to be ready to play by the start of the season?

3 ligaments is a lot to come back from

  11. I still feel Moulds has some trade value because if he's released multiple teams will be vying for his services.  If one team wants to guarantee they get him then a trade would be the only way to do so. As for his contract if we honor his request to be traded and it happens to be to a playoff contender with a QB I would think he would be willing to work with the new team.

Atlanta could use some help at WR, and our interest in McCown shows the Bills aren't necessarily content with Kelly and JP.  The price for Schaub would be high but given the strength of this draft class our 2nd rounder probably equals out to be a late 1st most other years. Combine that with Moulds and it might just be enough to pry him out of Atlanta’s grasp.

Thoughts? Good? Bad? Any offensive line comments?

    628442

    2 things

i don't think Atlanta would want to part with Schaub. He's the best insurance policy a team could have. They will resign him or tender him an offer next offseason that would require a team to give up a first and third

Why would they want moulds? They have a young core of 1st / 2nd rounders that needs experience

I would love to find a way to get Schaub, but ATL would be crazy to let him go!

  12. Levy and Co. have found free agents that have a good upside.

All are yound and have had players above them limiting their playing time. With that in mind, don't be suprised if one of our 3rd or 4th round picks goes to the bears for Michael Haynes.

He wants the chance to start and that ain't happening in Chicago....

He also has the Levy / Jauron connection

I would offer it up. Upgrade the DLine
