  1. As Marv Levy stated last week - "Everybody is talking about building for the future - you wanna know how you build for the future? - You win!" That is about as simple as you can put it...
  2. The bottom line is that if the Bills did somehow squeak into the playoffs with Holcomb and everyone says it was a waste to delay the development of JP, how do you explain getting through one of the hardest remaining shedules in the league with a winning record. Are people actually going to say that they would have preferred another crappy finish and not get on board to route for this team. Holcomb will have completely deserved the playing time IF he is able to pull upsets against the upcoming teams!! It is useless to B word every day about why JP is not in the game. Some of us want to see an exciting season after such crap the past few years. If Holcomb brings that now, so be it. Chances are that JP will be starting within a couple weeks so you will just have to wait and see. In the mean time, I hope we pound the Chiefs at home and see if these guys can't rally. Let's get the Ralph all fired up and enjoy being in the race halfway through the season. JP will get a chance but for now, Playoffs are still an option whether you like it or not!
  3. If New Bruschi (We're not worthy!) beats Indy, then I think that the whole post goes down the drain. If New Bruschi (We're not worthy!) beats Indy, they DESERVE the AFC East title right there on the spot. It also goes to show that Buffalo didn't play such a crappy NE team afterall. You have to give the ball to Kelly one last game especially if NE loses. Anything thing other than a Pats loss and a Bills win against KC spells JP time. That gives him 11 games on the season which should be more than enough to show SOME signs of life. If he does not show improvement after that, then we have a hell of a bigger problem at QB than anticipated.
  4. I can't help but think almost a week after the Patriots game that the Bills were THAT close to having one of those turn around games of the season. Yes - I know that there are many problems to address and that the Patriots were not the Patriots of old BUT Buffalo did do a lot of good things in that game that should have translated into first place in the AFC East. The attitude on the team would have sky rocketed with the play of Moulds and McGahee and without the fourth quarter collapse and coaching, it looked like a team that was ready to make a statement. Unfortunatley, none of that matters now and we just have to see how this team responds to even more adversity than before. It just sucks to wait an entire year with so much expectation and have it thrown out the door before you even hit the month of November. As far as Losman, I don't think you can put him in until after the Chiefs game. You have to let the team try and make another statement as the Pats hopefully lose to Indy. I know this will further delay the development of Losman but you know what, I don't give a crap. I am sick of losing and if there is a chance to at least make it an interesting season, so be it. Clearly Holcomb gives you the best chance right now and he deserves one more shot. Is this asking too much? To be able to enjoy the Bills on a weekly basis and play to stay competitive. I don't think so... Losman will get his chance AGAIN (most likely in a couple weeks) and we will see if he has the skills to lead this team. Lets not forget that one of the main reasons the Bills lost that crucial game was COACHING -no ifs ands or buts. Management is dragging this team down and I guess that is one of the most upsetting things to digest. For now, I want this team to take it personally and leave it on the field against KC - Go Bills!!
  5. Now that was more like it. I almost forgot what it really is supposed to feel like to be a Bills fan!! Curse them for an entire week, convince yourself they are going to be crushed, THEN - second guess yourself after the first quarter, renewed faith by halftime, thoughts of " wow, maybe we are a lot better than expected" by the 4th, I can't believe we are about to beat the pats and take over 1st place halfway through the fourth, Starting to wonder how we might do in the playoffs ...... AND THEN................................Reality hits you in the side of the face like Bennie Andersen's wet diaper!!!! The reality is that we ALMOST beat a Patriots team who was at their lowest in over 3 years!! Put Losman in against KC and see if he has the talent to lead this team next year. Silver Lining - I was glad to see that they played with heart!! I officially HATE BRUSCHI..
  6. There really could not be a more fitting atmosphere for the Bills this weekend than at the stadium that has haunted them for years. Not only has Buffalo been on the losing end for the better part of four years, they have been completely dominated! There are so many factors that stack up against the Bills this weekend that even the most optimistic fan has got to have his/her doubts. Here are just a few in no particular order: the Patriots have had two weeks to prepare coming off their bye week, Ted Bruschi is making his courageous comeback from a stroke which will be a huge lift emotionally, Corey Dillon has had two weeks to rest his leg, Richard Seymour will be back in the lineup (watch out) and finally, it is Sunday NIGHT in Foxboro. These are factors that do not even include the laundry list of problems on the Bills side of the ball. I guess the one positive the Bills have on their side is that the ENTIRE team was able to take last week off against the Raiders in order to get some rest. Ok Ok, they did show up for the first series of the game. The Bills had a real chance of proving that they were a team to be dealt with last week and they fell flat on their faces. Now they are staring down the barrel of the gun known as the New England Patriots. Can you even remember the last time that the Pats lost two games in a row? How about December 22nd 2002!!!!!! If you think that the Bills have been hit hard in the injury department, take a quick look at the Patriots lineup. If this is the most vulnerable the Pats have been in years and nobody but the players inside the Bills locker room believe they have a chance on Sunday night, what does that say about the talent on our team? I don't know about the rest of you out there, but I for one want to see if this team that the great fans of Buffalo have backed through thick and thin is capable of showing some heart on the national stage known as ESPN Sunday Night Football. I want to know what they are made of deep inside. If there was ever a chance to go out there with 'the world against us' attitude, the chance is now. If I was Ralph Wilson, I would take a good hard look at this game and see who REALLY wants to be part of this team in the future. I am not saying they have to come out of Foxboro with a victory but I damn well better see an effort worthy of a hard fought battle. I really want to believe that this team has got something to prove but it is hard gage the talent when the only victories over the past two years have been against lesser opponents. Can you remember the last time the Bills went out and beat a contender? Would it not be gratifying if these guys went into a game that they were supposed to lose and turned the season around in an instant with a victory? We can all hope can't we? That is why they play the game. I believe that the Bills will hang around in the first half of this game and then the Band-Aids that are covering so many parts of our offensive and defensive lines will fall apart once again. The Patriots will officially separate themselves from the rest of the AFC East as Tom Brady and company will show everyone once again why their players and coaches rise to the occasion every time they are called upon. Prediction Patriots 31 Bills 6 Season Prediction Record 3-4 (Sound Familiar?) Don't worry, if things get too scary in this game, you can take comfort that Vampire Bats will be airing at 9pm EST!!! Hopefully the game won't be THAT bad...
  7. Bottom line is that Spikes is The Man and he will be back better than ever - he just seems like he has that certain something that separates good from great - here is to a quicker recovery than expected.
  8. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...gory=24949&rd=1 I know someone posted a while back looking for a Pro Bowl Jersey and these are not easy to come by. I was looking for a 05 Jersey myself and came across this. I just picked up a size 58 Moulds a few months back. It is the best jersey I own by far and away but I thought you should know that size 58 is pretty big. I am 6'4" and it is still large. If it works, it is definitely worth getting.
  9. That sounds like a perfect plan to me - thanks for the suggestion. Maybe a glass of wine would not hurt since she is 5 months
  10. I am heading up for just the day this Saturday with my wife who is 5 months pregnant. Are there any suggestions that would help. We are pretty casual that love outdoor dining (lunch or dinner) and good scenery. Thanks
  11. I totally agree with life is way too short to be feeling like this. If you are already feeling the eyeballs on you constantly, chances are it will only get worse. I am in Sports Marketing and have been for the last 10 years. It was not until my 4th company in the industry that I finally felt like I could breathe and do my thing. I was almost driven insane by the micro management of a a couple of my old bosses. It is never easy to change jobs but I never realized how happy you can be at work when you find the right fit (and the right people). Good Luck
  12. I went to Fichte Eye Associates here in Buffalo last year and it was the best decision I have ever made. I have been as blind as you get since I was 12 and not only was it 100% painless, I had better than 20/20 vision the following morning. The one suggestion I would make is to DEFINITELY get the Custom Oblation and nothing less. You do not want to risk having night blindness or anything of that nature.
  13. Alexander went #2 - Thinking out loud, I am pretty sure that I heard Priest Holmes #3
  14. Am listening to ESPN Radio at work and Sean Salsbury of ESPN's fantasy draft picked our man as #4 in the entire draft. The only players ahead of him are LT, Alexander and I did not hear the 3rd. That is some serious R-E-S-P-E-C-T
  15. I saw that jersey on ebay a couple months ago. Definitely a home job. The Bills are wearing the Blue jerseys for both games.
  16. There will be authentics as well, I called last week to ask about them. I think they are like $275.00.
  17. I was just hoping that they would have put the standing Buffalo logo somewhere on the jersey. I think it would have been a great touch and added to the whole celebration of that team.
  18. The only thing positive about these jerseys is that they are better than the current ones (which is not saying much)!! Put the god damn Bills logo on the freakin' thing. What is so difficult about making it look like a BILLS jersey. Thank God I just got the Moulds pro bowl jersey.....Thank you for finding this preview - just saved me a trip to the stadium...
  19. I would much rather be confused with Giants blue than the Titans and the Argonauts.... Does anyone know how to photo shop a white jersey with blue and red shoulder stripes, logo on sleeves and the word Bills in small lettering right below the v neck
  20. Love the shoulder Stripes!! Add the Charging Buffalo on the sleeves and you have gone from worst to first in my book!!
  21. I think we have one of the WORST jerseys in the entire NFL!!! It is painful to know that the general public can come up with a thousand better ideas than than clown in charge of this within the orginization. Go back to the royal blue, maybe put some stripes on the shoulders (a la vikings) and sew the charging buffalo on both sleeves. You cannot beat that. I pray that these throwback jerseys they are going to unveil are something old school worth purchasing!!! Start the petition for new jerseys and I will be the 1st one to sign!!! P.S. the giants have a great color blue that would work great..
  22. Just picked up an Authentic Eric Moulds Pro Bowl jersey on Ebay - the 2 year search is over - it is the white one with the red on the sides. I know someone made a post a few weeks back saying they were searching for a pro bowl jersey for a while with no success. Just a reminder that persistence will pay off. Good Luck!!!
