Not winning anything with that lineup.

We won 13 games this year and I would argue that this lineup is better in most positions

QB- Same (backup probably worse but if Josh is hurt doesn’t matter)

RB- Same ( could argue better with cook in year 2, Hines having an offseason, and foremen a better fit for what we need)

TE- better (your adding a 2nd round athletic receiver who can also block and keeping everyone from this years team)

WR- Better (Meyer is an upgrade at the 2, Davis is an upgrade to McKenzie at the 3, 2 young guys with upside and McKenzie who was your 3 now your 5 or 6)

OL- Better (Dawkins- Same, Torrence- anyone is upgrade over saffold, Bates- probably a small downgrade to Morse but you get younger and cheaper at the position, Risner- upgrade to bates, Brown-Same (came off back surgery last year and missed all of camp so hopefully improves. Beane didn’t sound ready to move on)

I don't understand why you've got to get rid of Motor for Foreman? This board makes it seem like Motor is the most boring player in history but he's averaged 4.7 ypc his career which is really solid, plus he doesn't make dumb mistakes, Josh loves him, etc. It's not flashy but I think keeping Motor and Cook if Motor is inexpensive won't open yet another gaping hole that needs to be filled.

i like motor but he is projected to get a contract in the 5-6 million range. Foreman is projected in the 3-4 million range. This team is going to start making hard decision and find places to cut salaries. With a Hines restructure/extension you can pretty much pay for foreman without dipping into other cap space. I also think foreman gives us the big power back we have been missing to take some of the short yardage Carries off of Josh

Instead of trying to one up you I’m just going to point out what I do like.

Risner would be an excellent addition, he’s a draft prospect I liked years ago before the draft and I’m pretty sure he can play some tackle too. Would love to have him.

Quessenberry would be a great signing as well, so would Boettger. Nice depth and could probably do well in spot duty.

How do you feel about Broderick Jones the LT from Georgia? Im thinking he would be an All Pro at guard.

I am open to any lineman in RD 1 who can play guard. A lot of people want a WR in round 1 I think the better value will be at G or C. I think we are better off adding a decent vet WR who has proven themselves in the NFL while also still brining in a WR in rounds 2 or 3 to bring along as Davis will mostly likely leave in FA in 2024

  4. Based on Beane’s press conference that we are going to be tight on cap space and try to find value FA would you be satisfied with these upgrades on offense:

    Sign:

Dalton Risner OG (6-8 million cap hit)

D’Ontae Foreman (3 million cap hit)

Jacobi Meyer (8 million cap hit)

    Quesenberry- Vet min

    Boettger- Vet Min

    Draft:

    RD 1 OG O’Cyrus Torrence (6-5 347)

    RD 2 TE Luke Musgrave (6-5 250)

    RD 3  WR Elijah Higgins (6-3 234)

    Cut-

    Morse (saves 5.6 mil)

    QB- Allen, Late Rd Rookie

    RB- Cooke, Hines, Foreman, Gilliam

    TE- Knox, Musgrave, Morris

WR- Diggs, Meyer, Davis, Shakir, Higgins, McKenzie

OL- Dawkins, Torrence, Bates, Risner, Brown (Depth: Doyle, Quesenberry, Boettger, Late Rd Tackle)

It would make the OL Look like this

    LT – Dawkins

    LG – Bates

    C – Pocic (call it 8M AAV) (Probably around a 3-4M 2023 cap hit)

RG – Risner (call it 10M AAV) Likely around a 5M cap hit in 2023)

RT – Taylor (Lets call this 10M max, I think it will be closer to 7) so you are at around a 5M hit in 2023)

Swing OT – Brown and Doyle

Nice write up. I think the bills will make changes but I can’t see it being this drastic.

    Here are my thoughts:

LT- Dawkins (he seems like one of those guys beane and McDermott aren’t going to move on from)

LG- Bates (he played best at LG and Dawkins also played his best with bates best to him)

C- I think Mitch is back for one more year and the following year they either draft a center or slide bates over)

    RG- Vorhees (2nd rd pick)

RT- Juan Taylor (young FA signing)

    Depth-

Brown- becomes your 6th oline/blocking TE. I also suggested in another thread a move to guard could benefit him

Doyle- got time at guard and tackle in preseaon

Quesenberry- Bring him back at vet minimum gives decent depth at 4 positions

Nick Broeker- draft 4th round tackle ole miss

Ike Boettger- resign vet min type deal

  6. I don’t see the bills giving up on brown but he has struggled at RT. It’s not common for a G to be 6-8 but they did have Doyle inside during camp this year some so they were willing to do it. Brown seems to struggle out in space even though he is super athletic.

could a move to compete at guard help him so he is not on an island outside? Seems like it might be worth exploring because he is not cutting it at RT.

At 6-8 311lbs and a RAS score of 10 if he could drop a few lbs could he also play that Lee smith blocking TE role for this team

  7. Joe Marino reported on his podcast that Leslie Frazier's contract expires at the end of the season. This could give McDermott/Beane to out they need to move on. Rather than firing him which would be hard to do since his defenses are ranked high. They could just not renew the contract and state both Frazier and the Bills are looking for new opportunities.

Here is the start to my series.  This is the thinking I have going into writing these on where the team is.  I will take comments and observations from this thread to help shape what I write int he future.

Here we are again in an all too familiar spot lately being bounced out of the playoffs but this time by another young QB, and by another up top end AFC team.  For a season filled with tragedy, distractions and issues I am not in a bad place as I write this so that is good.  I also do not think all the over-reactions of window closing, we are done yada yada are accurate not as long as you have a healthy top QB.  Which we do have.  However that being said I wanted to get the state of the franchise Off-Season primer out today (as I see it as I enter into Offseason Mode where I will break down position groups like always, while I prep for UFA and the Draft.

The standard disclaimer:  I use SPOTRAC (primarily) sometimes will use OverTheCap as well for the salary and contract information.  I will also use profootball reference (primary) for stats.  Also this isn’t meant to be a complete wrap-up of the past season but more so a look at in the future, obviously I will look back at times to talk about how I see the future.

So with no more rambling to start I guess I will get into it.

    Financials:
Contracted players: 39 with a cap hit of $230.498M
    Cap Space (top 51): -5.464M

    Coaching:
Let me start off by saying No I don’t think nor would I agree with McDermott being fired this year.  Coming out of the KC game last year the 13 seconds unluckiness would have had everyone here thinking ok we are there, Run it back.  So what the coaches did was improve once again on defense and ran it back.  At the end of the day that decision proved to be a wrong path but no one would blame him here.  Now also I will say I don’t think there is another HC (that is currently coaching, Maybe Tomlin) that I would have wanted in charge of this team THIS year with all the tragedy in the area and team and all the distractions.  That being said Next year McD stops getting my good will, if he cannot get this team over the hump he is Lovie Smith and that is wasting an elite talent at QB.

My Knee jerk response would be Fire Dorsey.  And very well may still be on board with that, however more likely he is back (if he doesn’t get a HC job) and we will see if he improves in year two designing and playcalling an offense.  There was no design to his offense.  No linking plays now situational football, he was JUST calling plays a lot of time with no strategic thinking in mind.  That cannot happen in todays NFL.  I do think that this offense really missed Daboll but it goes deeper than that.  It is almost like there is a disconnect here between the QB – OC – HC – GM, I will explain what I mean below.

2022 offseason – Was clear they wanted a Pass Catching RB.  Continued that obsession at the trade deadline.  So who was driving that desire? Dorsey? Beane? McD? Allen?  I doubt it as McD or Allen so that is on Beane and Dorsey.  So here were those plays?  There was no screens, the angle routes and Cook out of the backfield routes we hear so much about in the offseason where not there.  Some of that could have been on Allen not taking the easier throw, but again lets get to offensive design, if that was wanted SO MUCH.  Why were there not plays designed for the RB to be the first read??

Another instance.  Wanting that TE2 again they prioritized a second pass catching TE in the offseason, Morris beats out Howard this offseason with the 2 TE sets, earns the spot and then those plays nonexistent.  So the two priorities (that I can only think Dorsey wanted) were addressed, then the season comes and we get a poor mans Brian Daboll offense, ever since the MIA Box meltdown from Dorsey that is what was rolled out week to week.
I think Joe Brady likely goes and Ken Dorsey stays.

Defense (McD and Frazier) – news flash to you all, having a top Passing Defense all season doesn’t mean diddly to me when in the playoffs it gets shredded.  I think your scheme has been figured out, it has been called simple, bland that is a problem.  Yes I agree you blitz these young top QBs sparingly (they have proven they will shred it) but they have also proven they will shred your soft zone.  So what is the answer here?  Get a little more complex, and no don’t spend more premium assets on this side of the ball.  I think there is a shakeup needed here and best hope is Fraizer get a HC, then we move on and get some picks back to help.

    Offense: 17 players on contract.

Houston, we have a problem here.  To be honest I am sure many will also tell you the same thing.  I do think a couple things to start off.  1.  I think there was a learning process going on with Dorsey, Brady and Allen that led into the season, which I kinda of backed up above.

My Issues with this offense cannot be completely fixed in this offseason (for the most part) but they might be able to and I will explain.  The two biggest issues I see are OL (I have not liked our OL for a long long time, and their flaws have been covered up by Allens play).  So, because this is the biggest issue in the offense I will start there. I personally believe by the start of the 2024 season we SHOULD have 5 new OL starting, but that is two years down the line so I will look at what needs to occur in 2024.  I am taking a page from KC and Cincy here after their two SBs.

We need to replace LG, RG, RT.  We should upgrade C, and LT as well (however might not need too if you get the other three right) with the exception of Center.  I would get a Center this year as well if it was me.  Only Keepers on the OL I see are: Dawkins, Bates (Depth), Brown (Depth), Morse (unless I move on).  I will get into the moves at this position when I get to the OL primer, but the state of the Bills this is the worst unit they are fielding, and it is the one unit that you want good.

Weapons – Outside Diggs we have not much.  Davis is a WR3 playing WR2.  And the Rest are JAGs.  Really outside what the Giants the Bills had the worst weapon group in the playoffs.  How good would this offense be with a Hill or Waddle pair?  A Chase and Higgins pair?  A Williams and Eckler and Allen Trio?  It is Diggs and Only Diggs.

    Defense:  18 on Contract.

There are issues here, it is amazing when Jones doesn’t play how bad they are against the Run again.  51M tied up in the DL for 2023.  So I am not sure there is much they can do here, I am thinking they ill likely roll it back with what they got, hoping to squeeze at least one more year from Von Miller.  We have to he isn’t going anywhere and the out for him isn’t until the end of next year.

To be honest I think the biggest issue on the defense is more scheme and aggressiveness.  I will get into what can be done in each position group when I get to them.  Personally, I think it is time for a shakeup here.  There are trends that cannot be ignored.  Like the Lull every time during the season.  That lull seems to foreshadow what will occur in the postseason.  So I think there needs to be a shakeup in scheme which might mean McD swallowing his Defensive Pride, handing it to an outside the team DC.

My thoughts going into the offseason is that we need to spend out premium assets on the Offense and Fill the Defense with roleplayers.  That is how I am going to look at this offseason as I build out the offseason primers for each position group.

Comments and thoughts will be appreciated as I start my planning for the offseason primers.

I started a post this morning very similar to this but it got lost in the shuffle with so many topics popping up this morning. I was planning on going position by position and its a lot of work so I more than happy if you want to take on that work! Here is the topic from this morning on the RB room. Hopefully you can use the info here when you get to your RB primer:

  9. Every few days I plan to post an in depth look at each position group prior to FA and the draft.

    1st up is running backs:

    2022 Roster

    Devin Singletary (Age: 25 5-7 203lbs)

         -177 rush 819yds 5td

         -38 rec 280 yds 1td

    James Cook (Age: 25 5-11 190lbs)

         -89 rush 507 yds 2 td

         -21 rec 180 yds 1td

    Nyheim Hines (Age: 26 5-9 198lbs)

         -6 rush -3 yds

         -5 rec 53 yards 1td

    Reggie Gilliam (Age: 25 6-0 244lbs)

         - 0 rush

         -8 rec 69 yds td

    Tawain Jones (Age: 34 6-0 190lbs)

         -No stats

    2023 Roster

James Cook (3 year 4.7 mil left)

-1.3 million cap hit for 2023

Nyheim Hines (2 year 9.1 mil left)

-4.7 million cap hit for 2023

Reggie Gilliam (2 year 4.6 mil left)

-2 million cap hit for 2023

    Devin Singletary- FA

    Tawain Jones- FA

    Summary:

The bills would probably like to resign singletary but he will likely get more money than they can spend on the position for a player who is not a playmaker. It’s finally time to let jones walk away. They need to stop investing in special teams guys who provide no value in offense or defense.

    My prediction:

They will extend Hines and provide some guaranteed money (he has none left of current contract). They will hopefully utilize him more on offense and also he is an elite return man. I think they will sign a reasonable veteran that would be cheaper than singletary to fill out the room as they have gone to the draft several times and I don’t see them spending more picks on a back:

    FA options:

    -Jeff Wilson (Age 28 6-0 213lbs)

    -Samaje Perine (Age 27 5-11 235lbs)

    -D’Ontae Foreman (Age 26 6-1 236 lb)

    Jamal Williams (Age 27 6-0 224 lbs)

    Next up: Quarterback

  10. What an absolutely disappointing loss today. I needed a way to take my mind off of the game so decided to start a discussion about what I would like to the off-season to look like. I get a lot of people will say this is too early but I just needed a way to move on from this game. Here are my thoughts:

first and foremost I hope they move on from Frazier (it won’t happen). I think the D issues are more scheme than players. Also wouldn’t mind moving on from Dorsey (they also won’t do that) but hoping he will at least improve going into year 2.

    Defense

    Re-sign

Poyer (2 year 25 million 15 guaranteed, 3rd void year)

Edmunds (6 year 110 million 54 full guaranteed)

    Lawson (3 year 12 million)

    Marlowe (vet min)

    Klein (vet min)

    Let walk:

    Phillips

    Matekevich

    Juquan Johnson (possible PS)

    Cam Lewis (possible PS)

    Sign:

Jerry hughes (assuming Houston moves on and saves nearly 5 million in cap space) 1 year 2.5 million ( replacement for miller while out

    PUP

    Von miller

DE: lawson, groot, basham, Epenesa, hughes, (miller-pup)

    DT: Oliver, settle, jones, stills

LB: edmunds, Milano, klien, Dodson, Bernard, spector

Corner: white, Elam, Jackson, benford, Johnson, Neal

    Saftey: poyer, Hyde, marlowe, Hamlin

    Special teams:

Resign: Martin 3 year 10 mil

    Kicker: bass

    Punter: Martin

    LS: Ferguson

    KR/PR: Hines

    Offense:

    Re-sign:

    Queseberyy (1 year 1.5 mil)

    Kumerow (vet min)

Jameson crowder (1 year 1.5 million)

Rodger saffold (1 year 2.5 million)

    Let walk:

    Tommy Sweeney (possible PS)

    Ike Boettger (possible PS)

    Duke Johnson (possible PS)

    Devin singletary

    Case Keenum

    Justin Murray

    Bobby Hart

    Greg Van Rotten

    Taiwan Jones

    FA:

Jeff Wilson JR (2 years 5.5 million)

    Offense:

QB: Allen , Dugan, (Barkley- PS)

RB: Cook, Hines, Wilson Jr, Gilliam

WR: Diggs, Hyatt, Davis, McKenzie, Shakir, kumerow, crowder

    TE: Knox, Musgrave, morris

OL: Dawkins, Vorhees, Morse, Bates, brown, quesenberry, Doyle, Broeker, saffold

    Draft:

Round 1: Jalin Hyatt WR (Tenn)

Round 2: Andrew Vorhees G (USC)

Round 3: Luke Musgrave TE (Oregon St)

Round 4: Nick Broeker T/OG (Ole Miss)

Round 5 (cards): Dante Stills (WVU)

Round 5: Max Duggan QB (TCU)

    Round 6: traded for Hines

    Round 7: traded for Marlowe

I know many people will want more invested in the oline and dline but I don’t think they have to money to go out and sign top tier talent at those positions and they are only going to roster so many rookies on the oline.

All that information and more was provided directly from two physicians involved in his care during the almost hour long news conference that just concluded

I am glad they were able to confirm they data I posted. This was posted prior to the new conference and was actually giving to me early this morning however I debated a while if I should post it due to the sensitive nature of the info. 12. I don’t post much here but I read the board daily. I have a source who I am 100 percent confident would be in the know of Damar’s status and this is what I was provided this morning:

-He is off sedation and awake

-He is still using a ventilator to assist in his breathing

-his cognitive functions seem to be working and he was able to identify his parents and even write a word

-it’s still early in the process and more nuero testing needs to be done.

Overall this tracks with many of the updates from national media and like is said I wouldn’t post this if I wasn’t confident in the info and I almost didn’t but I know everyone here is looking for as much news as possible

  13. I know it’s probably pretty rare in the NFL but with ford gone I wonder if the bills would consider keeping only 8 on the oline since the 9th is always inactive on game day anyway. We don’t really have a developmental prospect on the oline like we do at other positions.

this would assume the top 8 oline are healthy going into the season but with Dawkins, saffold, Morse, bates, and brown starting then quessenberry, mancz, and Doyle you have versatile backups.

mancz can play all 3 interior positions, quessenberry and Doyle can play 4 out of 5 and in a pinch bates can play all 5.

you can get Anderson and van rotten, and hart on practice squad to call up in case of long term injury.

this frees up a spot to keep a cam Lewis, Brandin Bryant, hodgins, or blackshear on the active roster

  14. 37 minutes ago, Sammy Watkins' Rib said:

Who is our returner? I think the OP left Stevenson out in his list of options for the last spot. Traditionally you would think one of Stevenson or Austin would make the team as the returner. Personally I am willing to roll the dice with McKenzie in that role despite his issues but I know many are not. So who is our returner if it is not Stevenson, Austin or McKenzie?

My thought in the OP was

KR: cook and blackshear (cook starts as the primary but if role increases throughout season blackshear could become primary)

PR: shakir as the primary with blackshear also backup. If shakir ends up with a prominent role on offense this could be also transition to blackshear)

In order for blackshear to make it though he has to prove he can also play on coverage teams

  15. I have seen mentioned in numerous thread the different position battles however I don’t know the remaining battles are position specific.

As far as the specialist go I think those 3 are set. Arazia will be the punter. The only thing he had to prove to win the job was that he could hold and he has done that.

On defense I think there are only 2 open spots.

1 spot on the dline. The top 8 are set (miller, groot, Epenesa, basham, Oliver, phillips, jones, settle). That leaves 1 spot as I believe they will keep 9 total. There are 4 contenders for this spot. Lawson, Love, Bryant, Ankou.

The other spot I think is between a 7th corner and 6th linebacker and it comes down to Spector or Lewis (this could change after game 6 when smith comes of suspension)

on offense I think the qb position is set and oline is set keeping 9 (Dawkins, saffold, Morse, bates, brown, quessenberry, Doyle, ford,

    mancz)

The top 4 running backs are set with singletary, moss, Gilliam, and cook.

The top 4 wr are also set with diggs, Davis, McKenzie, shakir

The top 2 tight ends are Knox and Howard.

Rather than looking at the last 4 spots available by position I think it makes sense to look at it from ST value along with positional need. 2 of those 4 spots will have to be WR with the remaining 2 spots could be at wr if they keep 7, a 3rd tight end (we have Gilliam so it’s not a given we have to have 3) and I could see up to 6 running backs for ST value. Here are the guys competing for those last spot:

    Twain jones

    blackshear

    Sweeney

    morris

    austin

    hodgins

    crowder

    kumerow

Based on the camp reports and preseason I am keeping jones, blackshear, hodgins and crowder. This gives the best mix of offensive talent and special teams ability. I think you can stash Morris and Sweeney on PS and go into games with 2 true TE and Gilliam

  16. Hey all- if anyone has tickets to august 10th or 11th practice they are willing to part with please let me know. Ideally looking for 5 tickets but will take whatever anyone can spare. I was hoping to take my 5 year old daughter to her first bills event. Thanks! I know the tickets are free but if someone has them I would be willing to pay $5-10 per ticket

  17. Although I think it’s a long shot that Austin makes the roster if we keep 7 wr he will likely be the last guy. Not only does he give you a speed/gadget guy to use at the wr position, he can be your PR/KR. The one thing I have not seen mentioned yet is if cook gets injured for a few games Austin can fill his roles as pass catching RB. He started his career at WVU as a running back and has over 150 Carries  in the NFL.

My assumption is the bills keep Singletary, cook, moss at RB so we would not have anyone on the team to fill cooks role if he went out at all during the season.

  18. I started a thread late last night and didn’t see this one. So putting my post here and deleting the other thread.

2022 cap space: 7.5 million (before cuts)

2022 cap space after proposed cuts/restructures: 28 million

    Coaching:

    HC: McDermott

    OC: Dorsey

    DC: Frazier

I think Daboll will get a HC job this off season. The best option in my opinion is to stay in house with Dorsey. I don’t think Frazier gets a HC job and although I would like to get someone new, there is 0% chance McDermott fires him.

    Defense:

    Safety:

    Poyer (FA in 2023)

    Hyde (FA in 2024)

    Johnson (FA in 2023)

    Hamlin (FA in 2025)

Not much to say for this position. I think we are set for this year and should not spend resources at the position

    CB:

    White (FA in 2026)

    Jackson (FA in 2023)

    Johnson (FA in 2025)

    Lewis (FA in 2023)

Re-sign Levi Wallace to a reasonable deal (3 years for 12-15 million)

    Draft CB in rounds 1-3

We don’t know how long it will White to come back fully from injury so taking a corner early in the draft makes sense. Bringing Levi back with Dane for as the #3 and 4 corners will be solid depth

    Linebacker:

    Milano (FA in 2025)

    Edmunds (FA in 2023)

    Klein (FA in 2023)

    Smith (FA in 2023)

    Cut Matakevich (saves $2.5 million)

    Draft Linebacker mid-late rounds

It doesn’t make sense to keep Matakevich on the team when we can save 2.5 million. We don’t punt often and most kickoffs are touchbacks. Like most people on the board I would like to trade Edmunds but I doubt that happens. One interesting scenario for a trade would be Edmunds for Barkley. Giants are in a rebuild and both their contracts are coming up. Barkley would give the bills another playmaker on offense and the giants a young linebacker to build around. Both players need a change of scenery as they are not bad players but will never live up to where each franchise drafted them.

    DT/DE

    Oliver (FA in 2024)

    Basham (FA in 2025)

    Epenesa (FA in 2024)

    Rousseau (FA in 2026)

Resign Harrison Phillips (3 year 10-12 million

    Resign Zimmer (Vet minimum)

    Cut Star (saves $4 million)

Let Butler, Hughes, and Obada, and Addison walk

Unfortunately after all the resources poured into the position we still have major work to do here. We need another Big DT in the draft and 2 DE. We already have a lot of young guys at DE so need a couple veterans. We won’t be able to afford a young elite pass rusher with our cap space so we are going to have to try to find and older vet who is still productive like von miller, chandler jones, pierre-Paul or Ingram. For the second 2 end I would try to bring Shaq lawson back on a small 1 year deal for depth. This position needs serious work again this offseason with limited resources.

    Offense

    QB:

    Allen (FA in 2029)

For backup qb try and bring tribusky back if he has other opportunities then look at Marriott’s, Drew Lock or Daniel Jones if cut

    RB:

    Singletary (FA in 2023)

    Moss (FA in 2024)

    Gilliam (FA in 2023)

We need a running back to split time with singletary. I would love to bring in fornette but with the cap situation I think we are looking at a late round pick or a guy like Marlon Mack

    TE:

    Knox (FA in 2023)

    Sweeney (FA in 2023)

This team needs a TE 2. There are a lot of options in FA this year so that will hopefully drive the price down. The guy I would be looking at is Mo Ali Cox. Big guy who can block and catch and could really take him game to another level with Allen at Qb

    WR:

Diggs (FA in 2024- extension makes sense to free up cap space $5 mil)

    Davis (FA in 2024)

    Stevenson (FA in 2025)

    Cut Beasley (saves $6 million)

McKenzie- I would like to bring him back but seems like the way he was utilized this year it might be the end of McKenzie in Buffalo

The WR market has a ton of good players this year which means there should be good value. The guy at the top of my list is DJ Chark. Big receiver with deep speed (4.3 40). He is coming off injury so could get good value. In the first 4 rounds of the draft I’m looking for a slot WR with speed. Another guy who is getting up there in age that I wouldn’t mind bringing in for competition would be Tavon Austin. He is getting up there in age but would be a vet minimum contract and with his shiftiness and Allen’s ability to scramble he could be a nice role player

    OL:

    Dawkins (FA in 2025)

    Williams (FA in 2024

    Morse (FA in 2023)

    Doyle (FA in 2025)

    Feleciano (FA in 2024)

    Brown (FA in 2025)

    Bates (RfA tender him)

    Cut Ford (saves $1.6 million)

    let Ike walk

The line player better at the end of the season once they were healthy and bates went into the line up. Keep Feliciano as the back up C/OG. Draft a guy in the first couple rounds at guard to compete with bates/Williams.

    Special Team

    Kicker: Bass

    LS: Ferguson

    Punter: Rookie

cut Haack and save $1.2 million. We don’t punt a lot so save the money and  he has not been great this past season.

    Draft Recap:

Rounds 1-4 (CB, OG, Slot WR, 1 tech)

Rounds 5-7 (LB depth, Punter, RB)

  19. Im sure this is going to sound stupid to many but its just a suggestion what about peters playing DT. I know it will take time for him to adjust to the position but he is bigger than Pat and faster. He showe his abitlity to bust through the line on that punt block and also made some takckles on speacial teams. I think he would be able to play this position because of his natural athletic ability. Just a thought

  20. I would go with baas but he likely wont be available my next choice is Chris Henry. I am from rochester but go to WVU Henry would be a mid first round pick if it wasnt for his attitude he would give JP a big target to throw to and he also posses speed. I beleive his attitude will change once he gets to the NFL and he will be an excellent WR. Moulds, Evans, and Henry would be a great WR group.
