I wonder if the next few days will play out like this: Beane and McDermott let the dust settle and avoid the post-battering emotions. Beane communicates that Frazier has been given a LOT of resources over the past several seasons and yet has continually underperformed in key games --> he has to go McD goes Wade Phillips and says "I wont fire him, if he goes I go" Beane decides that is the best course of action for the team I have been saying for at least the past 2 years that Frazier is not the guy to win us the big one. I find it fascinating that Beane "cleaned" the roster upon arrival to build a team which McD and Frazier wanted. And yet 5+ years in, we still got 13 seconds and the absolute disaster yesterday. The NFL doesnt give you such a long time to succeed in the NFL. You have a generational talent at QB - dont waste it !

Jets request to interview Joe Brady for OC
Fan in Chicago replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
If his eyes are on a HC position in the future, he will need to climb the ladder. Hence, a promotion will be tough to turn down but I can see him refusing based on the hand he will be dealt with the Jets. -
My feeling only - The aggressiveness on O seems to be a game plan against specific opponents. Yes, Allen has a penchant for long throws and is the anti-Trentative in that regard. But in some games, it appears that the O has made up its mind to go deep as often as possible. Towards the end of the Dolphins game, they dialed it back and played conservative to preserve the lead. They went air raid early, which is exactly what I was expecting. With a good front 4 on Cincinnati's side and comparatively weak DB (I am looking at you Eli Apple), I expect the same strategy in the first half of the Cincy game. Expect Brown to see a large percent of downs in the first Q, Diggs on crossing routes and only Beasley in the slot. Much will depend on how our DBs hold up against their WRs. If we start winning the early battles, the game should get progressively easier. Lot of nickel on D, pressure from our front 4 only.

Josh Allen Bashers, what's your solution?
Fan in Chicago replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Much as I dislike Rodgers these days, I am actually pretty impressed he singled Allen out and in particular the throw to Davis which was just excellent and made to look easy. Allen routinely makes these jaw dropping throws which very very few QBs even attempt. -
Josh Allen Bashers, what's your solution?

truth be told, BB being a student of the game, appreciates Allen's football prowess. I bet he thinks, every night, "Oh what fun I would have if he was my QB" -
You see a lot of the sentiments on this board also, so why be outraged about the national press? I re-watched Q4 of the Dolphins game and was quite impressed about how we played on O, D and coaching (key timeout). Let it play itself out You are basing your concern on the first quarter of that game? There were stats posted which show that our D improves significantly after Q1. Your later part is more reasoned and thats what I am expecting on Sunday also.

We’re heading to England next season
Fan in Chicago replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
My only visit to London was in 1993 due to a 15 hour layover. I made it a point to go to Baker Street and look at the non-existent 221B house. And I had a pint at a local pub (part of the hop-on-hop-off from Piccadily Circus) . Made the best use of the 10 hours I had in town. -
"Allen spent the next two hours throwing dump-offs in front of no one who mattered" Is that why the dude hates checkdowns? Edit @Warcoderedread it first

Will your respect for Tom Brady change when he retires?
Fan in Chicago replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
He is the GOAT QB And an insufferable a$$ Only one of those opinions will change after Allen wins us mutiple superbowls. But not immediately after Brady retires. -
Very good write-up on Josh Allen and the Bills this postseason
Fan in Chicago replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pretty much on point. We can accept that shorter plays are being given up in favor of deep shots and that is to come with the Allen territory. But, I would like to see one issue see "fixed" immediately - turnovers. Cut them down to, say, 1 per game and we will win it all. -
Florio: Brady to the Dolphins "Definitely on the Table"
Fan in Chicago replied to Nextmanup's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady was missing throws even when he was getting time to throw. Aikman was fairly critical by the 3rd quarter. But, talking heads dont want to say it outright - Brady is done. Of course, by the same token, I welcome him in the AFCE so we can kick his sorry a$$ twice a year.
