  1. Wow, good stuff. The reason Wilson and Gaughan can't do pieces like that is the reason they work at the Buffalo News and not the Washington Post.
  2. Sweet! I can't believe I get to see THE Tony Romo in person!!
  3. Right. Shame on us for getting excited about the best professional sports team this city has seen in 15 years.
  4. Shocking. I'm surprised that hockey is on ESPN's front page for hockey. Go to TSN.ca or Sportsnet.ca. Anyway, you seem to be paying a lot of attention to it.
  5. Then again, your problem is with the league. Not the team. In that Washington situation, Gaustad and Mair did everything they could. They were pissed off and threw punches. They can't turn around and deck Ovechkin from behind because then you're retaliating equally or worse which makes you Scott effing Nichol, which makes you the very thing you're pissed off about right now, which makes you scum in the rest of the league's eyes. Maybe that's OK to you. It's not to me.
  6. Wow, another brilliant statement. Yes, let's make this a vigilante league just like all the other major sports, and society for that matter. If one of our guys had retaliated by chucking a cheap shot at AO after the hit, I have no doubt we would've been praised by the league and hockey fans across the continent for showing AO who's the boss. That'll put the fear of God into other teams and show them the Buffalo Sabres are not a team to be messed with. Ooorrrr....maybe we would've ridiculed, drawn an uncessary amount of attention, lost a coach/player or two to suspension and derailed what could be a championship season in the making. I absolutely cannot believe your ignorance. Basically your beef here is with the NHL for not suspending AO four weeks ago. Quit saying the Sabres don't stand up for themselves and quit defining "standing up for themselves" as "hitting the other guy just as bad, or worse, than he hit us." Because then you're Scott Nichol. The very thing you're pissed off about today.
  7. So then you didn't watch the game against Washington. Got it.
  8. Wait, it's a trend? Hmm. Define "trend". I could've sworn that game against Washington actually happened a few weeks ago, but I guess I dreamt that Gaustad and Mair started dealing out ass-kickings seconds after Briere got hit from behind by AO. Yeah what a pussified bunch the Sabres are. I can't for wait for other teams to expose our weakness. The fact that you think coming off the bench is a logical idea tells me everything I need to know.
  9. I think Pat Kirwan acknowledged that he made a mistake in judging JP. 874346[/snapback] I don't think he can be reminded enough.
  10. These guys make Long Island Phil look college-educated
  11. Bills-Titans is #6 on the list. He has some really nice things to say about the Bills and Losman.
  12. Alright well, fine. The coaches are to blame for failing to realize that Willie Parker is a flatout stud, and not giving the ball to him more earlier in the season. But I still think you can't say that a near-fatal motorcycle accident six weeks before the start of training camp doesn't affect how you play over the first few months of the season. Polamalu didn't get hurt until the end of November.
  13. I really don't see how this helps Pittsburgh's case. I wouldn't call that a killer schedule. Call me crazy, but if I'm the Super Bowl champ it shouldn't be above expectations for me to beat Cincy at home, along with Atlanta and Oakland. If they win those three games they're 10-4. The Steelers dug their own grave and Big Ben didn't help any with his offseason shenanigans.
  14. I'm pretty sure I was five or six when I first started to think that the logistics of the whole Santa Claus thing were pretty much impossible. I know I was younger than nine when I found out for sure. That said, it's not up to the teacher to tell them.
  15. My 10-year-old season ticket account and the blue slug Miller jersey in my closet beg to differ.
  16. After Monday night's game, one of the talking heads (I can't remember who, maybe Theismann) gushed, "Wouldn't be something if Pittsburgh got into the playoffs?". Yeah I guess. Considering they were supposed to, having, you know, won the Super Bowl and everything less than a year ago. Hopefully that all comes to an end when Pittsburgh loses to Baltimore this week. Frankly I'd be more impressed if Buffalo got in.
  17. Shoo, shoo retarded flu It'd be nice if they could spell the Pro Bowl DE's name right.
  18. Better jump off the bandwagon now. How dare the Sabres lose two in a row for the first time since last season? How dare they?? They'll welcome you back with open arms in a few weeks when the Bills' run comes to an end and the Sabres are winners of three straight. Loser.
