The man has been around for DECADES, yet he is only now doing his best work.
He shoots on time, under budget, gets the most from his actors (all three main charaters were nominated, two won), he even does the friggin' score for his own movies....
Eastwood shot this movie in 37 days. Do you know how amazing that is to shoot a movie this large in 37 days without it coming out like total crap?!?!?!?
You are obviously entitled to feel anyway you wish about the film itself, but if I'm running a studio, Clint is the first director I want on my speed dial. He is hands down the best director working today.
A very, very good movie. Rarely have I seen a movie where I actually wish it was longer. They could have fleshed out a few parts that I was curious about. On the other hand, I felt that way about Mystic River which was an excellent Eastwood flick.
I applaud films, and Mystic and Baby are two, that don't try to contrive a happy ending for the viewer.

I have a suspicion that with Crennel and Weis gone the "genius" label for Belichick
is go to peel off rather quickly. These guys were not only brilliant but they were the real buffer between a personalityless, cold coach and his players. That's going to count for something. Like 4 to 5 less wins, maybe.

Drew has become aware that certain Buffalo fans are angry with the way he handled his discussions with the media and has asked for all previous comments to be stricken from the record and replaced by this statement.
" Leaving Buffalo is the saddest moment of my life. I have considered killing myself over it but some guy named Rico called and said that he preferred that I remain alive, something about his post numbers suffering. I have cried a lot and will never forget Buffalo.
I truly appreciate that Buffalo has cut me from their squad. Basically, I suck and there's simply no hiding it. Yes, I did cause all 7 losses last year and of course, the teams' 9 wins came despite my efforts to lose. Man, I really suck. No, I mean, I really suck big time. My wife and kids had been taking to calling me assDrew, that hurt, but hey, I suck. The Buffalo fans are the most knowledgeable in football and if it were possible I would make each of them GM for a day. I love those fans, even the ones that hate me because they are smart enough to understand that I suck. Did I mention that I suck? I do, man I suck.
JP Losman is the greatest individual I have ever met in my life. He has Super Bowl written all over him. He truly is Christ-like. Starting him over me was a stroke of brilliance. I plan on taping all the Buffalo games. I wish I could have been around to win more games (not suggesting I would have anything to do with the wins mind you, but you know, just be around). This team frankly is perfect in all facets except the quarterback. That is, until JP starts winging that pigskin around in September. I'm heterosexual, but if I wasn't...well you know.
I took this job in Dallas only for the money. I mean it sucks down there. The ownership sucks, the coach sucks, the players suck....I'll fit right in because I suck too! I can't wait 'til I get home with this Dallas clothing and stuff and can use it to line my litter box. My Dad Max asked me to get some for him so he could burn it. I'm going to continue to wear my Buffalo underwear until it falls off. I love the fans particularly the cyber fans that have been bashing me for so long on that TSW site.
Let's face it, they are true heroes and deserve to be regarded as visionaries.
Anyway, I'm thinking we'll go something like 3-13 or 4-12 if the team, despite me of course, can get a couple of lucky wins. Good luck in the Super Bowl, I know you guys will win this time, I'm sorry, just so very, very sorry that I suck."

This isn't surpring. Education doesn't seem important anymore plus our great Preseident has cut ALL technology money from the education budget.
I work at a school of technology, that's scary.
Plus Bush has never fully funded his "No Child Left Behind Act" in fact last year Bush only provide 78% of the funding promised under the No Child Left Behind Act.
Apparently all the money was removed from the spelling budget. The grammar budget took a beating too.

Hater? Dude, I was a Bledsoe supporter until that fateful day. We all have our opinions on why we lost at home to a team that had little to play for. Did the defense come up big that day? Of course not. But when you have seven three and outs and give away ten points it is hard to look any further than number 11 for the real reason the Bills didn't win that day. Saying that the defense and special teams had equal blame is like saying Christopher Walken was respondsible for Gigli being a bad movie.

It's the ex-girlfriend scenario. As soon as she starts walking around town with another guy it becomes more important than ever to sully her reputation.
Even if it takes exageration and hyperbole to bring her down.
It's cathartic for these guys.
It's about as common a phenomenon as there is in life and sports.

Another good reason to unload Bledsoe.
Aside from the fact that we won 9 games in spite of him, the 7 losses that he caused on his own can occasionally count for 2.
At least 9 wins by the Team next year and Losman's gotta be good for at least 3 or 4 on his own (because he is so mobile!).
I smell Super Bowl, baby.
