  1. Anyone have thoughts on Navian Combi boiler?

Current Dunkirk boiler is from 1980. Zone valves and plumbing at the boiler all need replacing due to leaking.  Would cost just under 2k to redo.  Have had issues with other parts for the last 5 years to a tune of about 3-4k.  The new Navian boiler would also replace my aging Takagi tankless hot water heater.

Quoted 11k to replace both units with the Navian combi.  Quoted 9k for a replacement Dunkirk boiler, but would then need to spend another 4k for a tankless water heater.  Was quoted about 3 years ago about 13.5k for a similar system, different brand.

I prefer the tried and true boiler over the instant heat system. They are kinda bullet or off if installed correctly.  Cost and efficiency are what’s drawing me to the combi unit.  I would prefer an old time hot water tank, but both units reside in a crawl space that don’t allow for any other hot water option other than tankless.  And I don’t have any other area in the house to out one.  Biggest issue for me is if the combi unit goes down, I lose both heat and hot water.

Anyone have thoughts on Navian?  Combi boilers in general?  Is the pricing good/bad?

    Appreciate any thoughts.

Assuming at this point that Araiza was falsely accused as it now appears to be the case, it's time for him to have his NFL opportunity.

if falsely accused, should get his life back.

Not sure it will be the Bills.

I'll take anyone on that list that's cheap enough to keep.  We have to shed a lot of cap space, so anyone above 4m is on the block.

Gonna be an interesting off-season.  Will they try and right the cap a bit? Not an all out reset, but enough to fill out the roster with 2nd and 3rd tier guys?  I could see this happening.  Beane said himself the Bills are about 12 million behind expectations form the Covid reduction in cap.

Our lower tier guys will be signed.  As soon as they are above what the Bills are willing to pay, they aren’t coming back.  For example, if Daquan or Ty Johnson command a few bucks more than what the bills have earmarked, not happening.  Even though they may be instrumental to the team, they won’t keep spending above their means.

Then again, restructure a bunch of contracts and kick the can down the road to deal with later because we are in the “window”?  I don’t see that happening. Beane seems like an honest dude and he’s said this off-season won’t be a spending frenzy.

  4. Honestly, do fans really care any longer? If he was brought in, tell fans charges have been dropped and “all good”.

Will it happen?  Based on the teams past reaction to non-culture employees, it has shown they don’t tolerate these types of issues.  Most recent John Roth and Kathryn D’Angelo for “unethical circumstances” and most famously Russ Brandon.  Based on these reactions, don’t believe he will be brought back.

Yes create plays please that throw our top Wr’s open. Look at the play design on the Vikings. No matter what JJ gets the ball and the defense knows it and can’t stop it. Great play design to throw him open all the time

Watch the first couple of drives by the chefs against us. mahomes throwing to a spot on timing.  Picked us apart for a bit.

  6. I am fine with him getting the job.  What is needed is a better WR room.  Any OC would have difficulty with our current WR’s.  Get a true number 2 that will allow Diggs to play his game.  Get a 4th that can actually play.  Lastly, design plays that get the receivers open. Josh spends too much time running around until someone gets themselves open.

I hope a full off-season allows him to make the tweaks that are needed.

don seems like great dude. but the time is up. its business and his teams performance is that of regression not progression. last year was fun to a point. thats all gone. back to the drawing board. I miss planning my evenings around the sabres games. It’s been a long time id like to get back to that point some time in the next 10 years.

I’m a huge football fan first. Hockey when they are not a poop show.  Haven’t watched them for ages.  Wouldn’t mind getting back to actually caring about them.

Am I a fair weather fan?  I guess so for hockey.

  8. Just because Hyde’s wife wrote a nice letter to the fans, doesn’t mean he will be gone.  Poyer ended up coming back.  That being said, not sure he is worth a large salary. Skills definitely eroded this year, but if the right price maybe one more year.

Benford?  Hate to see him not be a CB.  Dude has skills.  Needs to stay at corner, especially if Tre goes.

Elam?  Dude has speed and can stay in the receivers pocket well enough.  Just can’t track the ball while covering.  Would he be better if everything is in front of him? Probably would make sense to try him at safety.

I don’t know how much he will command, or how we will fit him under the cap, but we have to find a way to re-sign D. Jones. He was the most important player on defense this year and he wants to stay in Buffalo. Please find a way to make it happen Beane!

I would rather that than try to get middle of the road WR free agents. Go youth there.

Jones is very important to resign. Beane loves his 1 year contracts that he can get out from under if the player doesn’t live up to expectations.  Jones did and deserves a long term deal.

Will it happen? I’m no capologist, but gonna be tough keeping the core of this team intact and surrounding them with talent good enough to go further.

  10. Score when you can score.  You never know what will happen next play.  Botched snap? Int? Fumble?  Score when you can score.

I’ll be honest, missed the play. My son and I were dealing with the aftermath the wonderful young women behind us did by puking on mostly him and our seats.  Yeah, so that was fun.

  11. Heck of a last few months of this season. Really did not expect us to be where we were at mid season.

We just were not good enough last night.  Needed our WR’s to get open and they weren’t most of the night. Josh had a clean pocket a lot of the game and nobody to throw to.  Diggs needed to catch that pass. Defense was gutted, yet had a respectable game.  And after all that. We had a possibility to win and run the clock,Manx at the very least tie the game.  Would we have stopped them if we had tied the game?  Probably not, but dang at least give the team a chance.

One observation. When you have a running back playing very well, keep feeding him the ball.  Cook was playing very well and kept getting pulled.  Just let him play!  Not that that was the reason we lost.
