  1. oh i dont think we have to worry about ESPN showing the Bills war room... they will be to busy covering Shanny in Washington or some other big market team... we will be lucky if those a$$h*!es even spend 5 min. covering our 1st pick <_<

Oh, I believe they will spend LOTS of time on our first pick, especially when it's Tim Tebow! ;)

  2. I think it's all a cleverly disguised ploy to conquer the world. Chan and Buddy (hereafter referred to as Pinky and the brain for legal reasons) have a plan and it is for nothing short of world domination. It all started back in 1972 in a green metallic buick skylark and a man named Vincent Laguardia Gambini. It was a leap year and generally considered a fine, if not spectacular, year by all folks. It was the longest year ever, and a simpler time.

Then Pinky and The Brain hatched their scheme to begin world domination in Tokyo. They had a problem though, they needed a boat. They attempted to steal a boat since it had the same name that Pinky used for his shower sponge, The RMS Queen Elizabeth. Unfortunately, it ended up with the boat going down on fire.

However, the flames reflecting on Pinky's head gave The Brain an idea. There was only one way to truly conquer the modern world and that was through the Buffalo Bills. So the plot truly began. The Super Bowl was coming up and they only had a little time to get there and ensure that the Dolphins didn't win and the Cowboys managed to dominate the game setting a nmber of records. Oh, but how?

The Brain had a plan. So they set off to recruit 70s porn star, Lisa De Leeuw to ensure the outcome of the Super Bowl. Miss De Leeuw was in a quandry as she the male actor for her film wasn't up to the task which prevented her from finishing the movie and going to New Orleans our dynamic duo. Pinky and The Brain knew what they had to do. It turned out to be a boon tot heir cause because all the plugging and filling of holes allowed Pinky to develop a great ways to protect the quarterback and stop large men from filling the wrong holes during the making of the film. That problem solved, they were on their way to fix Super Bowl VI.

After arriving in New Orleans, they immediately began brainstorming just how they could stop the impressive running attack of the Miami Dolphins. Even the Doomsday Defense of the Cowboys would have their hands full. They got Lisa De Leeuw going right away with forging tiny little butterflies made out of iron with the blacksmithing skills she picked up from Shirley Chisholm, the first African American Congresswoman. How they met and stopped Shula from using a super secret play from Nixon that would have won the game and allowed the communists to win is a story for another time though.

After she had made 138 iron butterflies, the fix was in. It was well known that Larry Csonka and Jim Kiick both loved butterflies, but that the elemental makeup of Iron weakened them. It was their super hero weakness. However, they had only completed 137 butterflies and it was just an hour prior to kickoff. They wouldn't be able to get the butterflies to the stadium in time without some help.

Luckily, John Conyers, a time traveling congressman from Detroit (he is also the reason they got Barry Sanders) had heard of the successful foiling of Nixon's plot by our team and had come to help. However, they were stolen by a dastardly villian, but it was ok because with the combined power of John Conyers, Pinky, Lisa Du Leeuw, and The Brain they could chase him down. You can see footage of the chase in the video below:

So now they were finally ready to release the butterflies throughout the stadium. They climbed up to the highest point in the stadium and threw open the sack. Unfortunately, Iron at that time was not lighter than air and they just sort of fell out slightly injuring the toe of a guy selling cotton candy. Luckily, that Dolphins team sucked and lost anyway setting up the Dallas franchise to eventually beat the Bills in two SuperBowls ushering in an era of futility and think that Barry Switzer could coach giving Pinky the perfect opportunity to coach the Cowboys. His stint with the Cowboys setup his eventual freedom from coaching to become the head coach of the Bills after they were infiltrated by Scout/Part Time Ninja/Taco Salesman, The Brain.

The next step is actually to draft, Eric Berry, then announce Dick Jauron has purchased the team and will be making all Football decisions and playing quarterback. It's a short step from there to ruling the world. So you're right on in your assessment that the interest in Tebow is just a ploy. You just didn't take the theory far enough!

Put the pipe down and walk away...

  3. 1) Marshawn Lynch skips voluntary training.

    2) Unsubstantiated story that Lunch wants out of Buffalo

    3) TBD posters pontificate

    4) Adam Shefter is asked what trades he THINKS could happen. He mentions Lynch from the Bills.

    5) Tim Graham writes article reporting Schefter THINKS Lynch will be traded.

    6) TBD posters pontificate

    7) Marshawn Lynch is now officially on the trading block.

    PTR

So I'm assuming you think it's bunk that ML is on the trade block?

When guys like Lombardi and Schefter are talking about it, I believe it. These guys

have contacts probably with every NFL team. So they don't necessarily need to have

insider info from the Bills, but maybe with the potential trade partner.

Will he get traded? Who knows until it happens. If it doesn't happen, does that mean

it never was in the works? Absolutely not. I'm sure we would all be very surprised at the

number of star players that were on the trade block who eventually were not traded.

And FWIW, I have no problem with ML leaving. In fact, I'd like to see him go.

  4. There weren't that many. Cleveland picking up Delhome is one of the strangest moves I have ever seen. St.Louis is going to draft Bradford. I can understand Washington making a move for McNabb and having Campbell as the backup or moving him for a 3 round pick. Seattle has a decent QB in Hasslebeck if he can stay upright. It is not like we are siting at 24 and we think we can get him. He is a easily a top ten pick and it wouldn't surprise me if Cleveland took him and let him sit for a year or so while Delhome increases his interception completion percentage. If you watch ND games, there were a ton of long bomb completions to Tate and Floyd, maybe Oakland takes him at 8 and says goodbye to Jamarcus. Wow now there is a pick that sucked

I thought maybe Cleveland would take a chance on Clausen, then realized they picked up Seneca Wallace

this offseason, a guy who played under Holmgren in Seattle. That pick up kinda reminded me of how he

went and got Hasselbeck from Green Bay, makes me think he is the eventual starter. As for the Delhome

pickup, Holmgren is a QB guru, and probably believes he can resurrect him for a few years maybe...which

actually may contradict what I thought about Wallace.

As for the Raiders. I absolutely believe they pick Clausen if he is still available. I believe Russell may have

played his last game as a Raider if they land another QB.

  5. Great job, by Buddy <_< If he offered McNabb an extension, and his second round pick, then there is nothing more he could have done to get him in here.

Even if Buddy offered two first rounders, we would not have landed him. He obviously wants to stick it

to the Eagles twice a year, don't blame him.

I was on the fence about him anyway. The nice thing about landing him would have been to take the

pressure off needing a QB in this years draft, but would have transferred to next year.

  6. Is there any doubt now that the 4th QB the Bills are bringing in is Tebow with the 41st pick?

Won't last that long. With him being publicly courted by the Bills, another team may jump ahead

of our 2nd round pick and snag him. Happens all the time.

I believe Tebow is just a smoke screen. They really covet another player, or two, and are using him

to throw other teams off the scent.

  7. Anybody recommend programs I can use to backup my movies on a Mac?

I had AnyDVD and CloneDVD on my PC, but that computer has died so looking to start using my Mac. I used Mac the Ripper and another program recently, but I'm looking for a program that allows me to select what to copy (previews, extra content, etc)

I've researched online but there are a ton of options.

I like Handbrake for ripping and compressing to whatever format you would like, ie: mp4. Works great.

  8. Can we at least wait and see what Greens contract actually looks like before we B word and moan about "3 years 9 million"?

Hopefully it's back loaded with very little up front.

Not feeling it with this signing after reading what some Raiders fans had to say about him

    on PFT:

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ackle/#comments

Hope he's a respectable backup at the very least. Don't really care if he was a starter in

Oakland for a few years or not, doesn't mean he's any good.

  9. Not a problem with any of these cuts.

You know these cuts were made with who may be able to replace them in mind. I'm sure

the Bills have their eyes on some bottom tier UFA's who can help on ST. Probably guys

    they are familiar with.

Anyway, I like the idea they already rid themselves of these guys. Not that it sets a "tone" for

the new regime, but it's gotta make some of the guys think about their jobs.

  10. :wallbash:

NFL at ESPN is all about Chris Berman. Without him, it's nothing. He's the one who runs the show.

He made the old Primetime. I never really thought that TJ was all that great, but he & Berman clicked and have good on-air chemistry.

Even after NBC took the Sunday night package, I'd still watch the Sunday night Sportscenter for his highlights. Berman has been one of the few bright spots at ESPN these days for me.

TJ offers much more insight to the pregame and post game shows than Berman. He offers his honest

opinion, without all the fluff. Berman is stuck in his "Back, back, back" days and would hardly be missed

by me if he left. ESPN is a machine and wouldn't miss a step if he left, how valuable is he?

  11. Chris Berman is being offered boatloads of money to leave ESPN, for the NFL Network...

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...ursuing-berman/

I know it is in vogue to trash anything that is tradition, or has been going on for a while...but I think Berman, as a NFL football guy, is still pretty great. People always rag on him for his "tired schtick", but I never sense that he isn't enjoying the hell out of what he is doing...if he leaves ESPN, that would be a huge void... I suppose the 2000 people who get the NFL Network can enjoy!

"Brooks adds that ESPN is expected to make a "reasonable" pitch to retain Berman, but "will not break the bank to keep him."

No big deal. Berman is a shell of his former self. NFL Primetime is a good wrap show,

but it's all about Tom Jackson anyway. I'm all about continuity, but could care less if

    he ends up elsewhere.

  12. Anybody else have issues with a delay between the remote and the HD DVR? There's times when I push like 212, and it takes a couple seconds to actually show up on the screen. Happens with all the buttons though....like the machine takes a long time to process the remote commands.

It drives me crazy! Along with the delay, it will also miss pressed numbers. I'll press 212, but end up entering 2 or 22. Changed batteries, stood next to the box, nothing helps.

  13. I'm not so sure I want McNabb, or Vick for that matter. Think McNabb is on the

    downside of his career.

That being said, what other options do we have for immediate improvement at the

QB position? Nothing available in FA right now, draft pick won't be impact player,

and our QB's are suspect. I would give no more than a 3rd round pick for Mcnabb,

or a much later pick for Vick using our 1st or 2nd round pick onthe "QB of the future".

I just hate the fact it might turn into a bidding war and we end up giving up a higher

    round pick than he's worth.
