Forgive me in advance if this subject came up somewhere in the 116 pages of the Diggs is traded thread, but...

Let's assume the Diggs trade had to happen now...why the Texans?...Yes his production is way down, but even at 31 he's still got a lot left in the tank...and you may have handed the team that, at least on paper, seems to now be the most talent laden in the AFC.

People certainly would be up in arms if we dealt him to the Chiefs or Bengals, but the Texans may be a tougher "out" this season.

My biggest complaint in this whole matter is that Beane couldn't find a trade partner in the NFC, or a team in the AFC searching for a QB and not a threat.

Maybe other GMs around the league are wary now that Diggs has whined his way off of two teams, and weren't willing to give up a second round pick.

    because they called

Riddle me this, in an obvious rebuild year, why not let Trubisky take several more snaps to save Josh’s body and build trade value for himself in the future? With Josh’s physical style of play, taking serious body blows in a season not setup to see more than 4-6 wins just doesn’t make sense to me. Crazy take but what else can you say

    Surely you can't be serious?

Why are folks acting like pub financing is new or unique?

2004: In April, the Cowboys announced plans to build a $650 million stadium at Fair Park in Dallas. The deal required $425 million in public financing from a 3% hotel-occupancy tax and a 6% car-rental tax.

No one is acting like that. They're pissed because they may lose their seats and can't or won't pay the asking price.

I'm surprised by how binary this conversation is.  Most folks are either applauding the move or criticizing it.  Pro or Con.

    I'm ambivalent.

I don't like the cap ramifications.  And I want Josh to have better weapons this year than last, not worse.  With both Gabe and Diggs departing - whatever their shortcomings - we've lost a lot of receptions & yards.  I'm sure Beane has a plan to replace the lost production with Samuels being part of that plan but we can't see the whole plan yet which makes me wonder how solid it is.

On the other hand, Diggs had attitude problems, wasn't much of a deep threat anymore, didn't thrive under Brady, and, given his age, the clock was ticking on his Buffalo career anyway.

Neither happy nor sad, I'm just curious.  What's Beane going to do with limited resources to get Josh the targets he deserves?

we lose $3M is cap space this season, plus Diggs...gain a lot next season

Ha all good.  I mean the cap hit on this gross, really surprised they did pulled the trigger this year, it makes me wonder if something happened behind the scenes that is gonna come out after the fact.

or maybe trading him a year too soon instead of a year too late?

Then a boat. Or putting a pool and patio with kitchen in your yard. Or maybe a second "hobby" car, like a Vette or some classic car. Or if youre me and really into cycling, a pro-level road bike ($12-$14K).

A PSL is no different than stuff like the above in that its part of the "cost" of the thing that one enjoys for recreation. And if youre one of those folks who make going to Bills games in OP a priority in your life for fun and rec time with friends and family, this is the current price of participation in 2024. Thats not to sound callous...it sucks that so many things have gotten expensive.

to most people a car is a necessity. The other things along with Bills games are hobby's and luxury's.

Not to be an ass, but if you can't afford this and pay for it over 30 years, how do people afford vehicles, where you end up paying way more than the sticker? And the other ass part: if the people of Buffalo won't buy the tickets, others will. I could see myself getting a 4 pack when the locals drop from the list, if they even do.

I really don't see the Bills having an issue selling every PSL. In fact, the very people who can't afford the PSLs are the very same people who smash tables and get ***** faced before kickoff. They want a cleaner, family-friendly experience which generates more revenue; that's how you cash in.

Purchasing a football ticket and a car is not a good comparison.

The only problem here is that you often have to listen to Tony Romo say over and over again, "I want you to watch....." 😂

I watch all games with volume off. I don't need someone telling me what is happening then after the play another person telling me what I just saw

I really dislike that they passed this without trying it for a year in the pre-season first, like have done with MANY other rules. If players, coaches, fans, etc hate it... why keep it?

We may all love it but at the end, all of the rule changes coming are harming the game.

I think it's a one year thing and looked at after next season

Interesting. If he accepts, that would be an interesting move by the Phins. He was OK for Baltimore and would give Tua that extra "out" target that Odel is so good at. Nothing crazyu to see here but found it interesting as the Phins are trying this off season.

you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means
