I don't know how he'll do as a head coach this year, but it is so much more refreshing to hear Jauron talk to the media as opposed to the three word meathead we had to endure over the past two years. And I'm sure he won't try to play the idiotic mind games for so called "competitive advantages."

It was definately more interesting listening to him than "two sentance" Mularkey.

Let me start off by saying Jauron was not my first or second choice. But with that said I do like the fact that he is extremely intelligent and that he actually played football and has prior head coaching experience. Most importantly he is also a man of high character. The Bills probelm will not be the head coach but the O and D coordinators. You can only motivate millionaires so much. What gets you to the playoffs is good schemes, technique and ability. I guess what Im saying is that Im willing to give him a shot but they better get a good O and D coordinator.

Could be smart. May realize that Sherman and Jauron do not have any other options and want to make sure they weigh all their options. Don't be suprised if Haslett is after Rivera.

We have been living through the worst organizational mess for the last 6 years. We've had to endure a GM who couldn't pick a head coach, and a coach who thought football was about mind games and trickery. We were promised smash mouth football, your best 11 football play against our best 11. What we got was flea flicker and swing passes to the fullback. We got secrecy and attempted mind games about starting quarterbacks and injuries. And when we hire a buffalo legend GM who is going to bring back integrity instead of load mouth, all talk no action football we're a mess. How can you argue about change and the direction of the organization after the bull@#$ over the last six years. We need a coach that commands respect. A coach that people are not going to second guess. We've gone the route of a coordinator and it hasn't worked. Bring in someone with head coach experience. ...Sorry for the rant but that weazle pisses me off.

Its extremely sad to see that as prepare for my Fantasy League superbowl, almost every webstite has the Bengles (formerly known as Bungles) triumverate of Palmer as the top quarterback to start, Chad Johnson the top WR to start and Rudi johnson the "start of the week" at running back. Man how low have we sunk.............

Doug Flutie will release the Flutie Curse this week and the Bills will win the Superbowl in 2007/2008. On the first series this Sunday Marsha Brady will get knocked out of the game and the Magic Flute will enter the game with cheers from the crowd. the Flutmeister will then proceed to torch Buffalo for 300+ yards and 4 touchdowns. This will enfuriate Mr. Wilson who will fire Donawho and "Tricky Mickey" at seasons end. Doug will retire at seasons end and a new era in Buffalo will begin. Mr. Wilson will hire Jimmy Johnson on as Head Coach/GM and jimmy makes it to the second round of the playoffs in 2006/2007. JJ takes us to the Promised land in 2007/2008 and RW will pass with a smile on his face just after he is elected into the HOF. One can dream can't they. I thought a little humor was called for during a very low point in Bufallo Bills history.

Are you booing Eric Moulds cause hes antics are similar to Flutie's. They are winners and want to win ballgames. They know when something is being done to lose ball games and thats when they act up!

BackInDaDay, All I'm saying is cut the guy some slack. The Bills were much more enjoyable when he was at the helm than what we've had to endure the past six years. I pray for the day that I can forget about flutie and we play in a stinkin playoff game! That day I'll change my board name.

I guess he wasn't that easy to gameplan while he was in Buffalo... Doug Flutie became the Buffalo Bills' starting quarterback in 1998 after the team started 1-3. In his first start, he passed for 2 TDs and led a 4th quarter comeback against the Indianapolis Colts on October 11. The following week Flutie scored the winning touchdown against the Jacksonville Jaguars on a naked bootleg to enter the endzone as the clock ran out. The Bills' success continued, as the team compiled an 8-3 record with Flutie at the helm. Despite being eliminated in the first round by the Dolphins, Flutie was selected to play in the 1998 Pro Bowl after throwing for 2711 yards with a 87.4 QB Rating—his best in his NFL career. Flutie threw for 3171 yards and 19 TDS in 1999, leading the Bills to a 10-5 record. However, most of his season was overshadowed by a controversial decision to rest Flutie for the final game in favor of replacement Rob Johnson. To the chagrin of Buffalo fans everywhere, the Flutie-less team lost 22-16. In 2000, Flutie was named the Bills backup, and only appeared in 11 games, starting five. However, Flutie once again had his chance to shine: After a subpar start to the season, Rob Johnson was injured vs. the Chargers in overtime. Once again, Flutie was called on to make magic. Engineering a drive downfield, Flutie set up the team for the game winning field goal. After losing three of their first five, the Bills now stood at 3-3. The Bills won 3 of the next 4 with Flutie in the lead, losing only to the Vikings, undefeated at the time. Despite his success, Flutie was once again relegated to backup as soon as Johnson returned from injury. In his final game in Buffalo, Flutie completed 20 of 25 passes, for 366 yards, and 3 TDs. Taking the NFL's 158.3 point passer rating system into account, Flutie threw a perfect game.

I'll move on once we make the playoffs again.

It was the wrong decision and the entire organization has been paying for it ever since. To this day the Bills are feeling the BAD KARMA known as the Flutie Curse! The question is what needs to be done to reverse this curse!

I can not stand Nate's game. We're getting crushed by 3 scores and he's still talking trash. He's attitude is terrible and he's all about himself. Where have you gone Antoine Winfield? Maybe he wasn't the best cover or turnover guy, but he certainly had heart and wasn't grandstanding when we were down by 30.

His absence was a huge reason we had such a slow start. Jacksonville and Raider would have both been wins and we would be 5-3.

I know I am going to get bashed to high heaven for this, but the problem is the "Curse of the Flutiemiester. " Since the day he was benched for the surfer the slide has continued. How bizarre was the Music City Miracle, Then the surfer craps the bed, then we had to start a career backup, then Drew Bledsoe turns into a high school QB at best. That was one of the worst decisions in Bills history and we are still paying for it. I have never seen so many unfortunate things happen to a team as long as I have been playin and watching sports. I want to hear some suggestions on how the bills can reverse the curse. P.S. This is meant to be comical to lighten the mood, but it does make you think.

It would be hard for me to believe that WM's running ability is any worse than Pass for the Patriots, yet Belechek used him in a couple series to spell Dillon. He's not worried about Dillon's ego because he is reinforcing that its about the team not one individual. The only reason I can see why MM is not using WM is because of pissing off TH. It can't be because he doesnt think WM is physically ready cause when TH had cramps in the jags game WM almost put the game away (if it wasn't for Villarial suspect holding call.) My point is MM need to forget about hurting a players precious ego and put in the right personnel to win football games. I not saying TH shouldn't start and get the majority of the carries, but you need to mix in WM as a change of pace and as a short yardage back (bigger stronger than TH and has a nose to get the extra yard).

There is one and only one reason why the bills are 0 and 3 and soon to be 0 and 4 and his name is COY F'ing WIRE!!!!

If you noticed toward the end of the first half on third down before their fieldgoal, the Jags ran that same play and Wilford (sp?) leaped over Wire for what was thought to be a touchdown but didn't land inbounds. So wire got beat on that play not once but twice.

Did anyone think that they may use WM on the goal line instead of TH? After how well WM did finding the endzone during the preseason I thought MM might use him. As evidence from the last Offense drive WM finds a way to get positive yards and finds a hole to gain the extra yard. When it looks like there is nothing there he gets two or three at least. Also I was very please with his leg strength. On a couple plays he was dragging two or three guys with him.
