1. apparently he has finally ended his hold out and agreed to terms. http://news.jacksonville.com/justin/2008/0...s-holdout-over/
2. His problem is not the knee. It is his conditioning, preparation, ability to absorb the playbook etc... Even if he had never blown out the knee in college, he would likely still be struggling due to his "personality". Many players with all of the physical tools never reach their potential because their attitude gets in the way. Willis appears to be one of them.
3. You actually checked to see if Max997 was Perter's trainer? Man, you are dedicated...
4. I couldn't find 'em either so I just made up my own. It seemed appropriate in this thread.
5. Please tell me this is true. Did he say that in a post game interview?
6. I am curious (but not enough to start a new Peters thread ) what kind of reaction will Peters get from the Buffalo faithful when he eventually returns. Will we boo him, if so how long. I am not usually inclined to boo our players but I am dissapointed in the way he is handling this "negotiation". I want to find a way to voice my dissatisfaction but I am torn because it is hard for me to boo our players. What to do...
7. I'm going out on a limb and saying no. What do I win?
8. I saw it this morning and although I do like the show I felt that their review was a bit lackluster. Question 1 will Edwards take control of the team. Golic (wearing a Bills helmet that looked too small for his head) said yes he would because he has to. Or somethingto that effect. Question 2 will Lynch repeat or improve on big season. They both said no and Kasilias sp? (whom I also like), filling in for Greenie, said that most rookies who break 1,000 yards in first season never repeat it in year 2. I can't remember 3 but 4 was will Kawika Mitchell and Stroud help shore up the run Defense. The answe was basically yes because there is nowhere to go but up. Finally 5 was what would the record be, they all said no play-offs and 6-10 or 7-9 as stated previosly in this thread. Nothing insightful, no mention of Peters that I recall and lots of Jets ball washing saying that they would make the play-offs and the Dolphins would be harder to beat this year.
9. I am guessing that at some point this season, Peters will report and SAM HARRIS will look like a genius for breaking the news first. Almost Soprano like with these bold predictions.
10. I heard on the radio that he was diagnosed last Sunday and passed away today. If true, scary.
11. How 'bout lock up your wives. Wasn't he rumored to have slept with a teammates wife and then have a very public falling out?
12. Horn was a joke here in Atlanta. He has slowed down considerablely and was apparently a bad influence on the rest of the locker room. He is no longer an NFL caliber receiver and would not be an upgrade over any of our receivers.
13. I'm just relieved that he didn't say Joe Horn. That would have been worse...
14. 18 catches for 142 yards, and 3 TD's in 3 games. He sat one out with a minor injury. He also had 83 yards rushing on 3 carries.
15. It's easy to get tangled up...or touched inappropriately.
16. Apparently not. Here are his negatives from one of his draft profiles. Negatives: Lacks ideal bulk, but has good muscle definition...Does not always play up to his timed speed, but does show good urgency to close (hip flexibility is just adequate)...Needs to be more alert on the field, as he will be fooled by pump fakes and play-action...Lacks the overall strength to be a physical tackler and needs to show better route anticipation; eyes the backfield too long rather than mirroring the receiver...Not the type that can naturally locate the ball, but will get there once he finds it...Must refine his backpedal technique, as he opens his hips too soon and comes out of his pedal early (would get a better break if he was not so tall in his stance, as it narrows his hips, preventing him from getting a fluid turn on the ball)...When he spends too much time looking into the backfield when playing deep in the zone, receivers have had success getting behind him...Must take better angles closing on the ball and, when a receiver gets behind him, he struggles to recover...More of a drag-down type of tackler, but he needs to face up and wrap better (will take a side, letting receivers break his arm tackles)...Must do a better job of securing the ball and protecting it on returns (leaves it exposed, resulting in costly fumbles...Willing in run force, but lacks the tackle technique and power to be effective playing at line, getting washed out often by bigger blockers in a crowd...Has adequate hands, but he needs to do a better job of extending for the ball (uses his body as a crutch and several of his pass deflections could have been interceptions if he caught the ball outside his frame). Hopefully he will improve in the NFL. As far as Ellis goes, I agree with you. I like what I have seen so far, especially the almost sack/forced fumble on Leftwich.
17. I yelled "put down the knife" when a cuban guy pulled a knife on me at a Fins/Bills game in Miami. Luckily for me he did.
