  1. The NBA has been on a steady decline for years. I use to like watching it when Jordan and Pippen won all those championships. I actually rooted for the first Dream Team in the olympics. Can't say I did that during the last olympics.
  2. The night before the Fiesta Bowl Willis McGahee and Andre Johnson were handing out flyers to a National Championship party. That came back to bite them in the ass.

  4. washingtonpost.com Woman Sues Yahoo Over Nude Photos Cecilia Barnes sent Yahoo a letter in January saying she did not create the profiles and wanted them removed. Additional attempts to get Yahoo to remove them in February and March did not get a response, the lawsuit claims. A woman sued Yahoo (Nasdaq: YHOO) for US$3 million, alleging the Internet site failed to fulfill a promise to remove nude pictures of her from the Web. Cecilia Barnes, 48, in a lawsuit filed Tuesday in Multnomah County, Ore., claims an ex-boyfriend began posting unauthorized personal profiles of her containing the photos in December. The profiles included her e-mail address and work phone number. The former boyfriend also engaged in online discussions in Yahoo chat rooms while posing as Barnes and directing men to the profiles, the lawsuit claims. ''Due to these profiles and online chats, unknown men would arrive without warning at plaintiff's work expecting to engage in sexual relations with her,'' the lawsuit claims. Barnes sent Yahoo a letter in January saying she did not create the profiles and wanted them removed. Additional attempts to get Yahoo to remove them in February and March did not get a response, the lawsuit claims. A Yahoo spokeswoman declined to comment, saying the company does not comment on pending litigation.
  5. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/n...ld/11745045.htm Man Arrested for Wearing Grinch Mask WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - City and county attorneys are defending Wheeling police who arrested a man for wearing a Grinch mask while walking along a city street. Norman Eugene Gray, 42, was arrested Tuesday. He was arraigned and released on a personal recognizance bond. Officers saw Gray about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, told him to take the mask off and not put it on again. Gray removed it and asked why he could not wear it, according to Wheeling police reports. Officers told him wearing masks in public is illegal. Gray said he felt he had a right to wear it and said it was not illegal. He put the mask back on and was arrested. The mask was confiscated. Wheeling City Solicitor Rosemary Humway-Warmuth and Ohio County Prosecutor Scott Smith said masks as well as dark window tinting in vehicles can pose a safety hazard to law enforcement officers and hinder efforts to identify criminal suspects. "When we think about masks, we don't always think of Halloween," Humway-Warmuth said. Smith said wearing a mask or hood in public is a misdemeanor under state law, punishable by a fine of up to $500 or up to a year in jail, or both. Children up to 16 years old can wear masks. Traditional Halloween masks, safety gear used in occupations, theatrical productions, civil defense or protection from bad weather also are legal.

  10. The nerf football incident made it on to the ACLU website. I also searched the ACLU website for beheadings, but for some reason they don't have anything about it. (/sarcasm) http://www.aclu.org/torturefoia/released/030905/
  11. You mean the Schwarzenegger effect. I have no idea what you stand for, but I know who you are! I met Powell when I lived down in North Carolina. He knew my CEO from their days in the military. He was in the area visiting Bragg and stopped by to take a tour of our NOC. Good guy and when I mentioned I read his book, he stopped to chat to me. I didn't get any sleazy politician vibes from him. Jeb Bush has already said he won't run for president in 2008. (yeah, yeah, yeah) I doubt with his age and heart problems that Cheney will run. I don't see Elizabeth Dole running. Perhaps Hulk Hogan and NBF can run together.
  12. The republicans have Powell, McCain, Rice and a few others that would be strong presidential candidates. The democrats pretty much have Hillary. These last couple of years she should have been building a strong resume to run for president. Unfortunately for her, she hasn't.

  15. Look at the link below the article... http://www.aljazeera.com/me.asp?service_ID=8249 Female staff at Guantanamo sexually abused prisoners 5/25/2005 11:30:00 AM GMT Female interrogators sexually abused Pakistani detainees at Guantanamo Three Pakistani citizens who were released from Guantanamo Bay in September last year said that the U.S. security personnel desecrated the Qur’an and that they were sexually and physically abused by female interrogators. The three prisoners revealed the abuse accusation to a joint interrogation team (JIT) of Pakistani intelligence agencies - Military Intelligence (MI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Special Investigation Group (SIG) and Sindh Police personnel. The three detainees, Abid Raza, Mohammad Anwar and Mohammad Ilyas, were arrested in Afghanistan by U.S. forces in January 2002 and sent to the U.S. detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. They said that prison staff at Guantanamo, especially the female officers, used tough interrogation methods to obtain information from them. "Women interrogators were particularly indecent with prisoners. They would press their sensitive parts against prisoners' bodies and when a woman interrogator threw menstrual blood on the face of a prisoner, we resorted to a hunger strike," they said. “Hunger strike was the threat which would usually soften them,” they added. A JIT member, who demanded anonymity, said that one of Mohammad Anwar’s testicles had been chopped off and that the other two prisoners were suffering from phobias. He also said that the three men complained of torture and abuse during their detention in Afghanistan and of inhuman conditions during their 28-hour journey from Afghanistan to Guantanamo Bay. The prisoners also said that U.S. forces interrogated them about Al Qaeda, the Taliban and ISI. "Most of their questions were about the ISI. They wanted to know how many of those detained in Guantanamo had been associated with the ISI. They would ask things like what were the networks of the ISI in Afghanistan and Iran, how the agency worked in those countries, and who were working for the ISI in Afghanistan and Iran," they said. Commenting on reports that U.S. forces desecrated the Qur’an, the Pakistanis said that "They would stand on the Qur’an and throw it away, saying the book teaches you terrorism."

  18. When somebody posted my website up on BB.com, I was doing about 75GB of data transfer a day. It didn't cost me anything because i get unlimited bandwidth, but my IPP wasn't thrilled about it.
  19. To show there are no hard feelings, the USO should put on a show for the detainees. Gallagher could show up with his sledgeomatic and a case of pork products.
  20. Last night I was reading specific incidents of prisoner abuse at Guantanamo Bay. One of the claims were MPs were throwing nerf footballs at the detainees. Let me tell you, my heart really goes out to them on that one.

  23. http://www.azcentral.com/offbeat/articles/...stake23-ON.html Student in yearbook identified only as 'Black Girl' Associated Press May. 23, 2005 11:42 AM WAXAHACHIE, Texas - A Texas school district has apologized to a student identified only as "Black Girl" in a high school yearbook photo. All the White students are identified by name in a photograph of the Waxahachie High School National Honor Society. The teen identified as "Black Girl" is the only Black student in the photo. A schools spokeswoman says the caption apparently was intended as a placeholder until the yearbook staff could identify the student. She tells a newspaper, the Waxahachie Daily Light, the label was a poor choice, but wasn't malicious. The spokeswoman says the school district will reprint the yearbook pages affected by the mistake.
