  9. you I never thought about that...maybe in some twisted way that was Houston's revenge on us in '99
  10. What happened to him? Is his suspension over? Let's bring him back, he's still young and can be productive. Live and learn Anthony, hopefully you've cleaned up your act
  11. We're angry so we don't show up to the games or buy no Bills merchandise next season...The Bills do bad financially, and next thing you know they're sold and we lose our team. I mean, we're in a no win situation. Thanks Ralph
  12. There I was 10 years old sitting in my grandmothers kitchen talking to my aunts new fiance in Maryland in 1989. I wasn't much into sports, but the Redskins were always the talk of the town....So I could have gone along with everyone else and rooted for the hometown team. Instead however, my aunts fiance convinced me to watch a team called the Buffalo Bills. "Buffalo??" that was my reply. He told me to give them a chance. He said they are the most entertaining team to watch and were going to be amazing in the coming years. So the first game I ever watched the Bills play was Super Bowl 25 against the Giants. What a game to watch! Even though the Bills lost that night, they gained my heart. I had never been to Buffalo or known anyone from there. But at the end of the game, I was in tears after Norwood's missed FG. My mother didn't understand why at the time. She even went as far as saying all sports games are fixed (I wasn't buying it). But that Bills team for some reason hit a chord with me. It inspired me in ways you can't imagine. In the following years my fandom grew and so did the heartache of losing 3 more Super Bowls. Again though, I was inspired by their never die attitude. Based on those years, whenever I thought about giving up or quitting I reminded myself of the Bills and how they never gave up. Even after the glory years I maintained my love for the Bills. To me they still represented that never die attitude especially during the Flutie years....But in 2001 after going 3-13 was a huge low point. And today being a no better than a 7-9 team matches that low point for me. I guess what I'm getting at is...the Bills have always inspired me. Even last year when we were so under maned and the injury/recovery of Kevin Everett I was inspired. However this year I didn't feel that same never die attitude that I am accustomed to seeing from the Bills. The Bills did the unthinkable to me....and that was they gave up. I think that's what hurt me the most this year. The effort, the guts it takes to win was not there. I'm like the rest of Bills nation right now. On life support. But I will always be a Bills fan......and I hope that next year the Bills can at least resemble the team I grew up rooting for from an effort standpoint. Sorry for the rant, just had to get it out -Peter
  13. I'm with all the angry fans about bringing DJ back for next season....But remember a guy named Tom Coughlin who stunk it up in NY for 6 seasons before he won a championship? Crazier things could happen. After reading players reaction, they really took the heart DJ coming back for one more season. In the end, they are athletes, but they are also humans. They understand that they MUST make the playoffs next year. Truly everyone's a$$ is on the line next year and I think we'll see a better product for it. For those who'll ask why we didn't see the fire this year, I can't answer that easily. It's a young team with a young QB...heck it took Eli 4 seasons to mature...Let's take a deep breath and try to remain optimistic -Peter
  14. The Jets and Patriots missed the playoffs and will have a lower draft pick than us. Thats all, carry on
  15. post of the day
  16. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-b...p&type=lgns Ha, I just read the story...good stuff but it won't happen
  17. 5 game season...every week is elimination week. This team thrives anyway when the odds are stacked against them and no one pays attention
  18. I mean seriously?? If you told me that last week, I would have a hard time believing it
  19. We need to win out. We have a 5 game season ahead of us and we need to go undefeated to make it in Now even more importantly...Do we get Whitner, Schobel back for next week? lets keep it moving
  20. Where's the Heart? Both from us fans and the Bills themselves...We need that spirited bunch from last year Still on the wagon .. -Peter
  21. We were spoiled my friend back in those days...We have a solid group, but not spectacular
  22. thats great and all...but pls don't jinx us Sterling...lets take this one game at a time
  23. Agreed....I think all of us want Lynch to have that 150+ 3td game and it kills us when he has 70yds and 1 td I think he's a much better back than what his stats show
  24. Is it bad to want the Pats to shut out the Bronco's b/c I'm up 2pts in Fantasy Football and the other guy has Denvers kicker? I'm 0-6 and my manhood is at stake
  25. I think the NFL went a little overboard on them
