At the scouting combine in his interview he said he could play any position on the line, even center.
-
If the Bills drafted Albert I'd love to see if he could play center. Hmmmmmmmmmm.......................... He has said he could do it. Could be the missing piece to a dominant line, which although improved, we DON'T have yet. Fowler is in his contract year anyways and all these "take Pollock in the 3rd or Justice or whoever" are a complete joke. None of those guys are starting caliber NFL centers.

A Proposed List of "Surprising" Picks at 11

.....and that would still only translate to VERY late round 1 value. Sorry Penn St homers......... -
Malcolm Kelly is on the list.....

I wouldn't mind it one bit either JAMIEBUF12. -

ONE dropped pass in TWO years. I wouldn't count Kelly out just yet folks..... -
I'm with you on that BeastMode54. I'd even put CB off til the 3rd round or even next year. There will be a veteran available somewhere before the season starts if we need to add one more guy. Add a DL and fix the O in this draft.

Which player do you think
JStranger76 replied to BillsD#1in2008's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Although I hope to see continued improvement from Jackson, he is right at the top of the list for potential disapointment's if you ask me. Heard WAY too many jerkoffs at the Ralph claiming he was better than Lynch last year. (Giant's game) -

I agree as long as the Bills view him as an outside CB. I'm hoping he pushes Greer or McGee to the nickle to be quite honest. -
Although I'm not Astrobot I'd say Bennett has superior size over Davis and more potential. He's very athletic and is only 20 years old with a good all-around game already. I think with Bennett being a surprise early entry, everyone is playing a little catch up and finding that he could have the best pro potential in this draft class.

Although I'm against a CB at #11, I'd very much like to still find a way to land one of the top 6-7 CB's in this draft if possible.

Keller and Davis won't even make it past the middle of round 2, and Sweed won't make it out of the first. Sorry.

Whats the worst thing that the Bills could do
JStranger76 replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
CB can wait. Get stronger upfront first. Count me in as CB being the disaster 1st pick. DL or trade down for WR. -
If I remember correctly wasnt Edwards always tearing his rotator cuff while he was here? I think it ended his final season here when the light just seemed to come on for him. I believe he also tore his triceps as well, so his health was probably the biggest factor for him not sticking around. He'd look good in the current rotation, sure would Bill!

I'll put "I'm an idiot and should have listened to Stewy" as my signature should no TE be drafted within the 1st 3 picks. In truth though, the guys doing the picking will be the real idiots for not grabbing a guy who can control the middle of the field. I see 4-6 TE's in this class who would be instant upgrades for us and hope we finally snag one.

I'll bet that Kelly still goes in the 1st round. A guy who once was considered at #11 drops to the 3rd round because he got mad and didn't run a 4.4 at 230 lbs.??? You gotta love the retard rodeo around here. WATCH THE GAME TAPE!!!!! As for Bennett, I still say he has too much upside to last until the 3rd round.

With My 300th Post... I Ask?

Hopefully not the damn team doctor again!!!!! -
You can call me a knuckle head all you want but it's the Bills brass who will be the knuckleheads should they choose to ignore this position once again this draft. I don't know how the draft will shake down but I'm starting to get a good feeling about Martellus Bennett in the 2nd. Here's a guy who is 20 years old, probably a little raw, but with Teyo Johnson or Courtney Anderson playing along Robert "freaking" Royal for now, we can ease him in slowly at first. I know, people want an instant starter in round 2, but I believe Bennett will be a very nice player given a little time, and he already is a decent blocker! You never know, he could make an impact immediately..........

Now, if it was the Marino led Dolphins with something on the line, I'd be pissed. Also, don't get me wrong, it's always GREAT to squish the fish in Buffalo in December. But right now, the rivalry is basically on life support. If we have to play the Dolphins in Toronto, I am glad to get it over this year. Don't get me wrong, I would rather not play ANY game in Toronto, but hopefully no more division games will take place there.

The Other DE possibility at 11
JStranger76 replied to Fewell733's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Merling was still there at 11?!?! Even before the injury I never considered him top 20 material. He's a late 1st early 2nd round prospect IMO. -
Statistical expectations from Trent Edwards this season
JStranger76 replied to Ramius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
20 TD's and 10 INT's. More 3 step drops should keep INT's down. Throw in 60-65% completions and I'm not too worried about yardage as long as the offense is balanced. -
Gil Brandt said on Sirius radio that DE Derrick Harvey
JStranger76 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would be thrilled with that draft Horus. -
Dallas would have to actually throw in their 3rd rounder and we would keep pick 114. According to the draft chart, it even could be their 2nd rounder instead of their 3rd.

Derrick Harvey shold be a Lock at 11
JStranger76 replied to marck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree Joe Miner. Besides Schobel, the other contracts are very low for the position actually. Should we take a DE at 11, it won't be a top 10 contract, and will be about the same as Kelsay's in total money but with 2 more years. We're probably looking at a 6 year 24 million deal no matter what position is selected and we certainly have room for it to be a DE.
