Yeah, I got my buddy good. I don't know who the Andrew fellow is. My buddy the Rams fan/Kevin Curtis fan club President sent me the article about Joyner comparing Curtis with Stallworth and shoved it in my face as evidence he's better than Lee Evans.......I just so happened to see KC doing some chat and got to ask him the all pertinant question. You know what's hilarious.....is so far I've been able to get National Media and Professional Sports writers into our little Evans/Curtis debate. That either shows tremendous passion and dedication or it's really so sad on so many levels........I'll pick the first one!!!

Seriously, build a bridge and get over it people. Quit being so sensitive......I hate to sound cliche but revenge is like swallowing the poison yourself and hoping somebody else dies....let it go already. He's a Raven, he's a millionaire and he doesn't like Buffalo...whoop dee do. Let's have a solid draft and wait until he has to bring his punk ass to Buffalo this season. But until then, let it go.
-
How do you let it go when you're looking a red wall and somebody keeps telling you the wall is green. The definition of insanity does apply here though, doing something over and over again the same way and expecting different results.

Yeah that was me.....didn't do any good though.

Hey guys, I sent a message to Chris Brown and he responded to me. Your friend is out of his mind. The only thing Curtis might have on Evans is intelligence (he had the highest wonderlic score ever - 48). Curtis has benefited greatly from being in an offense with Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce and Shaun McDonald. Has Curtis ever been doubled? Seen bracket coverage all day? Has he ever had to face a defense with no bona fide receiving threat opposite him like Evans and still produce an almost 1,300 yard receiving season? Did he operate in an offense with a young, inexperienced QB and a porous offensive line? The deck was so stacked against Evans this year it was ridiculous and he still performed at a high level. I'd like to see Curtis do the same in Buffalo this past season. We might get a bit of an idea this year in Philly. Then again the QB is a Pro Bowl talent, the offensive line is solid and Reggie Brown is a solid complementary receiver and L.J. Smith is a legit passing threat at TE. Like I said Curtis has Evans on intelligence and Curtis is smart enough to sign with a team that again surrounds him with a good cast. Without one, he wouldn't be any where near Evans' numbers. That case good enough for you? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Guyatt, Greg Sent: Fri 3/16/2007 10:26 AM To: AskChris Subject: Lee Evans vs. Kevin Curtis Hi Chris….I have a desperate Rams fan buddy who insists that recently signed Eagles WR Kevin Curtis is superior to Lee Evans in every arena…….my constant sharing of the facts and such hasn’t deterred him. What’s your take on this if you have time? Cheers Greg Guyatt

Best online mock draft I have seen
TheZone78 replied to SACTOBILLSFAN's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Rams comments were the best....... -
I just sent this anyways.......I'll post his reply........

I would but of course he'll point out that Curtis was kept behind two hall of fame wide receivers and that's why he was kept off the field so it's not a fair argument. Remember, this guy is not 13 years old, my friend is approaching 40!!! I wouldn't pass on this link to him because he says all forms of Buffalo media is super biased and believes Bills fans think all their players are Pro Bowlers and contend for the Superbowl every year. Remember these are his words and not mine!

DT Amobi Okoye won't be available at 12
TheZone78 replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with your statement 100%. I hope Branch and/or Okoye slip to 12. It adds some excitement on draft day. If Washington doesn't draft one of them at 6, one of those guys will likely be there at 12. -
What makes a good DT in the cover 2?

The opposite of Larry Tripplett!!! -

I 100% disagree. We need some big men! I'd rather go with a RG before drafting a running back. Backs are a dime a dozen. I'm hoping one of those two DT's slips to 12. If not take a LB if it suits you at 12 or else trade down and get another 2nd. -
I hear you all.......nice to hear some common sense. I figured it was a slow time right now before the draft and it would help us pass the time, that's why I started this thread. It's been good for a laugh.

This is what he just wrote....... "Well you robotically ignore all the other areas where Curtis is superior to Lee Evans so I guess the hard numbers are the only thing left. Curtis is faster, far better hands, smarter, more versatile, more experienced, fearless, better route runner and I will guess he is also a better blocker but I can't confirm that one. You deny all these facts so I guess the numbers will have to be our barometer now that both guys are starters." Sigh..............
-
Well it's official.......here is the bet we've made, since Curtis signed with the Eagles we've made the following bet. Barring injury whoever outperforms the other in terms of receiving yards will have to wear the jersey of the bet winners choice to a major establishment. He also points out that Curtis now makes more money than Evans so what does that say? I fell over laughing and said, Jim Kelly at age 47 could make 10 million dollars a year in this inflated market!!! Can't wait to see him sport a Losman jersey. I think it will look good on him and hopefully it fits over his straight jacket.
-
That's the route I took except he insists that Curtis' action is held up because he is behind to hall of famers in Bruce and Holt. I said in the salary cap era if Curtis was so good then why did they cut Bruce and re-sign him a year or two ago? This is the type of crap that I put up with. You guys are hilarious though. I know I'm a bit of homer and have a Bills bias and all but Curtis is NO WAY better than Evans.

LOL
-
I've heard it for two years now.
-
Exactly..........

I've got an buddy who insists that Kevin Curtis is a much better receiver than Lee Evans.......after I stopped laughing and picked myself off the ground....he keeps coming at me. Does anybody feel like making up some obnixous comebacks to this clown?
-
You can't convince me the Bills would have shelled out a 7 year 40 million dollar contract to a slightly above average back.
-
He also said that he was reminded that Willis could hold out for 10 games and thus become a free this season. They way he said he was reminded makes me think Rosendink was ready to play hardball.
-
Hi all, just in case you wish to here Marv on the fan 590 Toronto talk about Willis being traded. There is the usual chat but he does go into a little bit more detail. http://www.fan590.com/mediaplayer/audiopla...pt-20070308.mp3

NO!!!!!!! I'm sorry but this is a move that he Bills should not make. I respect London for his heart and steady play making abilities, but you need to go into a new direction at MLB. If the Bills re-sign Fletcher it will just go to show you that they are not capable of making those tough but right decisions. Fletcher probably skimmed the market and found out that he's not as valued as he thinks he is. I'd put money on it.
-
I would go ahead and renew my season's tickets.....I did. I'm certainly not going to base my decision on a factless conference where generalizations was king. The Bills have some positives going for them.......Evans is hitting his prime, we have a competent coaching staff, we appear to have a QB, the team is still very young and showed some good things last year.....etc..... One thing I'm tickled to death with is that a Buffalo GM finally said our offensive line is the number one priority.......FINALLY!!! It only took you 13 years to admit that....... Action's speak louder than words and I will reserve judgement until the off-season is done.......right now I'm not all that optimistic about a playoff spot, but I'm at least I'm optimistic. With all the ineptitude we've seen in Bills management and team performance it's very easy to get into that resigned and cynical mindset and quite frankly I don't blame the folks that do. I'd just caution everybody to use facts instead of opinions when you evaluate the Bills off-season. Cheers
-
Just heard the audio and it basically sounds like they told Marv 5 minutes before the press conference started that he was going to have a press conference. He chose his words carefully and was speaking in very general terms. Obivously Marv's duties have no connection with the cap economics. I've got no problem with that. Cash to the cap means that they will spend up $109 million this year which includes all signing bonuses, roster bonuses.....etc.....this team will not be handing out massive bonuses to one player. That makes me a little angry that they probably won't be making a play for Eric Steinbach and the SD lineman whose name escapes me. This off-season will probably be low profile and somehow I'm not very optimistic about playoffs for this coming season.
