Bowie did so many songs that you know, but you don't know he did them it is ridiculous. For example did you know that that song they play constantly on the radio from the Nirvana unplugged called The Man Who Sold The World is a Bowie cover song? It's true. Space Oddity, Janine, Lady Stardust, Changes, Ziggy Stardust, Fame, Oh you Pretty Things, Surfagette City, China Girl, Under Pressure, Rebel Rebel, Diamond Dogs, Golden Years, etc, etc, etc. I have worn out about every type of media copy of Ziggy Stardust that exists or did once exist on Earth. Bowie fuggin ROCKS!!!!!

Saw my first one in person today leaving work. It was being driven by a girly-man. hahah What makes the guido thread even funnier was that it was posted on a martial arts forum...

It depends on whether or not your toys are in good shape, and if they are complete or not. I can tell you that a Millenium Falcon in a VG Star Wars box will net you about &500 bucks easy. The thing is, if the toys are in good shape and you have the box, you are sitting on a gold mine. If you are interested in selling anything, I can give you the addy for a site where collectors will take pretty much the entire lot from you. For example, my VG blue snaggletooth from the Sears Cantina Playset is worth about 200 bucks loose...

Well, that Death Star playset was pretty sweet. I especially loved the green trash monster and the foam bricks. I think the worst toy ever was the Star Destroyer playset. Except for the cool Vader meditation chamber, it was super cheesy. It had an escape hatch in the back. To where, outerspace? And what was up with the masters of the universe-esque super gun on the front of it?

True, however, one cannot hide behind past glories forever. I see Lucas kind of like the Emperor. Sitting at Skywalker Ranch, hording his original copy of the OT, rubbing it seductively, saying "you want this, don't you" to all Star Wars fans. Past glories aside (for which I too, will always be grateful for) the guy has become a hack, and for that I cannot forgive him...

AJ will disagree, but Lucas is such a tool. His avarice knows no shame and no bounds. In the late 1990's the original negatives of the films were found to be in dreadful shape, so an emergency restoration was done to prevent the films from being lost forever. Unfortunately, to make his '97 reissues, he cut up the orginal negatives. So his claims that the original negatives no longer exist is true....from a certain point of view. It seems that legend tells that during this restoration, Georgie-boy had recalled most of the theatrical release prints of the films and DESTROYED them. Not wanting to be called a liar I guess. Nevertheless, original copies DO in fact exist, despite Pukus's best efforts. There are a few film archives around the world that have copies. And be serious here; do you REALLY think Lucas would be dumb enough to destroy every copy of the films that made him wealthy beyond the dreams of avarice? Me either. On the 2005 DVD release of the abominations, there is a featurette worth the price of the entire set, EMPIRE OF DREAMS. Notice that there is an opening crawl shown for the original 1977 film in anamorphic widescreen. So either a transfer of the film (or maybe just a clip) was done? Or maybe a version still exists? So we are left with two possiblities: One, that a copy of the film to be transferred to Blu-ray or HD-DVD does not exist (wrong). Or two, Lucas doesn't wish to release the film in highest quality.....yet. What I conclude is that one day, we will get yet another re-re-rerelease of the film on HD-DVD or Blu-ray. Of course, it will be with those other Star Wars "films" which I hope to never view again. Either way, Georgie-boy will not get another dime from me ever again. I'll just keep watching my 1993 LD DVD transfers, thanks. And If I ever meet Lucas in person, it would be worth going to jail just to kick that SOB in the ballz for how he is ripping us off. Yet again.

I didn't see him mention Losman at ALL in his post. His point, since you must have missed it, was that one preseason game means nothing, as veteran QBs sometimes look bad in them...

Kevin Everett played quite a bit last night, sometimes in two TE sets with Royal. He had maybe one catch though. JP can defintely move, and although he didn't get alot of help from the rest of the team, he didn't impress me with his decisions or accuracy... -
The pass was deflected by Crowell. And the defense looked absolutely terrible. It is a good thing the Panthers tried to run up pthe middle after the 1st teamers went out or it would have been much worse. Donte Whitner may turn out ok, but he got friggin BURNED last night...

I was in the same section as you SC. It was unfortunate that they didn't show many replays last night, I couldn't tell if it was a horrible pass, or the reciever ran the wrong route. Holcomb was horrible. I agree, BoA stadium is awesome. I've been to lots of games there, but never in the club section. I did see a few people with infants there at the game. WTF are people thinking??? Anywayy, last night didn't give me a warm fuzzy in the slightest. The 1st team defense looked awful against a championship calibre Panthers team. Donte Whitner got burned soooo bad on that big gain, then got a stupid penalty the next play. Welcome to the NFL kid, next time come to camp sooner. JP was under lots of pressure, but some of his decisions were not good. I can only hope that with more game experience he gets better. Spikes was in an orange shirt on the sidelines, chatting with players. I wonder if he will see any action at all until Sept 7th? All in all, we had a good time. There were not as many Bills fans as I had thought there would be. You should see that place when the Eagles come to town, but then, those people are like cockaroaches, they come from everywhere. Poeple didn't give us much ribbing there, which is good. Not at all like Philly or Oakland would be. Let's hope the Bills play better next game. It can only get better, right?? -
A guy named (no schitt) Dick Seamen lived behind my friend in gradeschool. I hate it when people call me "guy". Like "how's it goin guy". I don't know why, it just irritates me...
