  1. As I stated, I don't really have a problem with your posts about Losman, as (both you and I pointed out) they were in the appropriate threads. As for Bill in NYC, I didn't start or even participate in that thread. Really, I don't have any problem with any of your posts individually. It is your collective body of work that has me thinking you are a campainger, someone who gets one or two thoughts in his head and brings those ideas to just about every post, regardless of what the threads in which he is posting are about. I don't need you to "wake me up." I am open to reading other opinions. That is why I am here, of course, but it is a waste of time to read the same person's same opinion over and over again all over the place. As for kicking you off TBD, I don't have anything to do with that. But I have been around here long enough to know the mods are pretty good about getting rid of those who aren't behaving in a manner that is contusive to good discussions about our beloved Buffalo Bills -- their good points and bad points. You seem to be someone who knows something about football, follows the Bills and can put sentences together, so I think you could be a good contributor here -- if you can stop with the theme posting.
  2. Yeah, we all know you still believe in Losman. You are pretty good at repeating yourself over and over again until everyone knows what you think. Really, I think you should be in danger of getting the boot for being a campaigner, beating one or two themes to death in just about every post. That gets real tiring and only turns other posters off, causing to not read your stuff any more. In the just the past couple of days you posted: And a quote you made up on DJ's behalf: OK, we all get it. You blam DJ for the Bills' struggles. OK. What else do you believe? Well, we know you favor Losman over Edwards. You made that clear, too, over and over again. But to be fair on that point, most of your campaigning on (the past couple of days, at least) took place in threads about Edwards or Losman. But as a few pointed out here, this thread is about what us "fans" are excited about. You clearly are not excited about the Bills, so you went off topic and threw yet more crap at the head coach. Now, as far as coaching goes, I am quite excited about all three of our coordinators; as I am looking forward to seeing what TUrk has up his sleeve, I think Fewell has all the tools to play as wide open as he wants, and I think he wants to earn a head coaching job somewhere, so he will work his arse off this year. And Bobby April is just great, and I cannot wait to see what he is going to do with all the young blood and the trio of returners.
  3. http://www.thehogs.net/History/fightSong.php The Redskins song was written in 1937, after the team's owner commissioned a 110 member band to provide the new fans with the pageantry he thought football deserved. Wanting to emulate 'the spectacle of Roman gladiators', he oufitted the band with $25,000 worth of uniforms. The owner's wife (the owner back then, not Danny Snyder's wife) wrote the lyrics to the first ever fight song, "Hail to the Redskins" (by renowned band leader Barnee Breeskin). It was performed for the first time as the official Redskins fight song on August 17, 1938. Maybe Ralph's daughter could jot down some words. When the song made it's official debut, it was a slightly different version than the one heard today every time the Redskins score. Some of the words have been changed for political correctness: Modern Version Hail to the Redskins ! Hail to victory ! Braves on the war path ! Fight for old D.C ! Run or pass and score, We want a lot more ! Beat em, Swamp em, Touchdown, Let the points soar ! Fight on... Fight On... Til you have won, Sons of Washington ! Original Version Hail to the Redskins ! Hail to victory ! Braves on the war path ! Fight for old Dixie ! Scalp em, Swamp em, We will take em big score ! Read em, Weep em Touchdown, We want heaps more ! Fight on... Fight On... Til you have won, Sons of Washington !
  4. Yes, I falied to mention Evans. But it is Hardy who really has me hyped up about our passing game. First, as you eluded to, having Hardy opposite Evans is going to force teams to play us a lot more fairly than they did last year. Hardy's size alone is going to make defensive coordinators take notice and ensure a DB of some quality will be on him; hopefully, keeping teams from double and triple covering Evans every passing down. I think we know what we have in Josh, a reliable but non-spectaular receiver. But Parrish is another story; he may have a real breakout year at receiver with defenses focusing on Evans and Hardy.
  5. With Butler getting this raise, I have to billieve it means the Bills are close to a deal with Peters. Otherwise, this would only further madden Peters. I am quite confident the team will make Peters happy before training camp.
  6. Thanks, buddy. And man is your screen name accurate. I hope Ray there is, too.
  7. What's wrong with that?
  8. I don't think he received special treatment other than teh DA likely would have filed for a warrant for his arrest if he were a regular Buffalonian. I have to believe that if I hit someone that night and drove way, and a witness got my plate number, the police would have done more than jut tow my truck away. They would have at least come into my house. But I think the end result is what anyone with a clean record would have received.
  9. Precisely why the Sportsline knew it was a farce, I am sure.
  10. The part of your post I bolded is my point, exactly. I agree that he had to be pretty scared by this, but the final outcome is very mild and that is what the other players will remember.
  11. Word on the Wall is that the Raiders and Jags both got dimissed from the contest because their fans over spammed the site, voting like 100,000 times.
  12. Great point regarding our return men. Could there be a team with a more impressive bunch? Of course, we don't know what McKelvin's return game is going to be like in the NFL, but I cannot want to find out. The hiring of April may have been the best thing our front office has done in a decade. I am even more excited about the prospect of having McGee, McKelvin, and Parrish because I know April is smart enough to devise effective ways to use all three of them.
  13. Actually, KFFL was late to the party, as the AP reported this in an article last Thursday -- the article used to start the original thread here. So KFFL took about three days to report it, and then Pitta took about three days to post it here.
  14. I am glad this will be over with a very light slap on the hand, likely keeping the league from taking any action at all. But I am concerned that this just geting brushed off will give Marshawn and other young Bills the mindset that they are somewhat untouchable and can do as they wish. That, of course, would be very dangerous to them and to the team. Incidentally, I think it would have been very difficult if not impossible to prove Lynch knew he his someone, which would have to be proven to charge him with something more serious.
  15. Follow the link He posted. It is a great thread where poster went on the record with their predictions for the upcoming season.
  16. Gee, why would a Bills' fan every be nervous about that? This year will be different.
  17. I couldn't find him in there, but that is a great read and resource. Thanks again, LA, for doing that each year. By the way, I am going to win it this season.
  18. Agreed, but we play two tough teams to start and two tough teams to finish this upcoming season. I would be happy with a 2-2 record over those four games.
  19. What's your prediction then?
  20. They are the same market, obviously. But including the Jets gave ESPN a hit in NYC and still let them hit Philly and Dallas. If they hit the Giants, they would have had to talk about the stinkin' fish, and that is just stupid.
  21. As you stated, a NYC team means lot more marketing-wise than a WNY team. Really, it is no surprise in which teams they picked -- NYC, Philly, Dallas and Boston are some of the biggest markets in the country. It's all about the Benjamin$.
  22. Good points. Whether or not Turk's system will likely be the difference between playing in January and hoping for another Sabres game at the Ralph.
  23. I agree with your post in principle, but you have the Bills beating the Jests twice and losing to them once, but you don't have a prediciton on the home opener against the Seahawks. I like the Bills going into the bye week at 4-1. And I like their chances comign off a bye to host the Chargers in windy Orchard Park.
