  1. thank you. no one has been arguing that regression toward the mean doesnt exist, we have been correctly arguing that regression towards the mean occurs due to normal distributions and variance (another term that holcombs arm cannot define nor comprehend) to the arm: REGRESSION TOWARDS THE MEAN COMES FROM VARIANCE AND NORMAL DISTRIBUTIONS, WHICH IS NOT ERROR, DUMBASS!!!
  2. I've just done some extensive research in the lab this afternoon. No matter what methodology i tried, using various measuring devices, such as a ruler, calipers, etc, i could not get measurement error to cause the rubber band to snap back when stretched out, nor could i get measurement error to make the rubber band stretch. So once again, Holcomb's arm is wrong, and we can add rubber band stretching to the endless list of things that he knows nothing about. One thing my research did prove, however, is that since the rubber band cant talk, nor can it post on twobillsdrive, the rubber band does appear to be significantly smarter than the arm. In hours of research with the rubber band, it was never wrong.
  3. well, he posts on mensa message boards. he has to be smart.
  4. Well obviously him and his little mensa super genius club message board are above libraries. Those places are for common folk like us. His super genius club only uses the ultimate all-knowing knowledge source, wikipedia.
  5. by intelligently, do you mean trying to argue that you are right while thousands of people and textbooks claim you are wrong? Because thats been your only arguement for 40+ pages - "I'm right, you're wrong, because i am right" I read them, and YOU are the one who didnt understand them. You cant even understand the things you have linked to. Also, instead of pasting crap from some random website, try read a stats textbook. Oh thats right, you wont, because it proves you are wrong. Did you manage to actually to talk to a woman, or did you just stick to stalking from afar this time?
  6. What the !@#$ kind of idiotic nonsense are you trying to blather out now? I have to go into the lab to try this. I am going to measure a rubber band to get its length. I wont calibrate or zero the calipers, so they are in error. I will see if the measurement error causes the rubber band to stretch.
  7. PS - Its a downright shame that the subject, holcombs arm, isnt female. It would have made for a nearly unstoppable contestant on America's Stupidest Woman®
  8. December 6th, 2006: Its now Day 55. Holcomb's arm is still wrong, and still has no comprehension of regression toward the mean, error, heritability, inheritibility, or the genetic basis for intelligence, or the NFL QB position. He still continually beats his head against the wall. One cannot discuss this with him, as he cannot stop thinking he is right and 99.999% of the rest of the world is wrong. I liken this back to his irrational comments and "analysis" on JP Losman versus Kelly Holcomb. Looking at one side of an issue, ignoring facts, and making overall generally irrational and unsubstantiated claims. When pointed out that he is wrong, he continually shouts "I'm RIGHT, I'M RIGHT, I'M RIGHT" in hopes that somehow, someway, this will make his statements less wrong. So far his efforts have been futile and unsuccessful. We never thought it would go on this long. We figured, that at some point, he would crack and realize he was wrong and run and hide. This almost happend on November 16th, but he keeps coming back for more. The Doctor will be pleasantly surprised with the hard headedness of the subject. Previous research shows that most normal subjects crack around Day 41-43. Here we are at 55 and counting. The Doctor will be able to get quite the research article out fo this subject. If the utter stupidity of the subject continues into the new year, we could be looking at a potential nobel prize. ~R 12/6/2006
  9. then there'd be more money for paying those ghetto residents to get their tubes tied.
  10. If a diet pepsi machine can hang on to a football, and even recover a fumble, i think we could make sure that a train could somehow hold a football while it chugged along. The bigger problem is installing tracks on the field for the train. it will telegraph to opposing defenses exactly where the train plans to run.
  11. Kelly Holcomb sucks. He's a decent backup, but thats it. He's got no arm, and cant make throws in RWS december winds.
  12. Props to Ed for responding to your email, and props to hit nutting up for the error. Gotta admire that about the man, even if he did make some screw-ups. Good job Ed.
  13. this is why we ran the ball 3 straight times. Didnt want merriman and Co in the endzone for a safety or a potential TD. Jauron ran the ball, and figured our defense could stop SD from scoring before the half. Not the sexiest call, but a decision that makes sound logical sense given the talent on our team.
  14. Happy if it is your birthday birthday.
  15. All the evidence needed... http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=53427 I'll notice how you didnt respond to either of my comments from above, thereby proving you have no clue what my research was on, and that you didnt in fact, understand what was written. Also, nice lack of a comeback to the fact that i have won a research fellowship, based on my ability to think critically and formulate a research plan.
  16. This is also hilarious, seeing that it comes from a person who read the title and abstract, probably couldnt understand a majority of the words, and has no clue what scientific field that the research falls under.
  17. priceless. Apparently the American Heart Association as well as a panel of professors around the country in the bio-med engineering field think i am fit for intellectual work. Otherwise i would have not been awarded a fellowship for my research. Whats funny is that you have been taken to school by numerous posters, numerous publications, and numerous textbooks, so now you are resorting to childish insults because you know you are wrong and have been backed into a corner. "ramius is dumb" "ramius has no credibility" "ramius cant think" "ramius isnt fit for intellectual work" All the meanwhile, i am sitting here laughing at how pathetic your repeated attempts at insults are. <yawn> Someone wake me when you come up with a good one. And in regards to message board opinions and credibility? Your opinion of anything carries very little weight to 99% of the posters on TBD, given your dubious posting history. Of course, you'll regress 99% to the mean and somehow twist it to say that only 5% think you are a moron, or some other crap.
  18. Thats from my undergrad research. And i didnt, you know, write an undergrad thesis based on that research or anything. I actually wrote roughly 1/3 of that paper. there 3 of us undergrads in the lab all working on different parts of the project, and all of us wrote stuff for the paper, with our boss having the final input, and thus 1st authorship.
  19. Just noticed now that Davis was voted as an All-American at MLB... http://seminoles.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/.../113006aaa.html
  20. Just a first look at FSU's outstanding MLB, Buster Davis. Right now i see him being projected as a 2nd round pick, but he'll be top-15, if not higher, after its all said and done. Remember Ernie Sims from last year's draft? #9 to detroit? Buster is a better all around LB that Ernie. Definitely a guy i would like to see at our MLB spot when fletcher's days are done.
  21. Any relations to Mike?
  22. Well, if Lana as involved, i'd probably start at the top and work my way down. What?
  23. I'm sorry. I accidentally lumped the 2005 scarlett knights with the previous 13 years' teams that werent even bowl eligible, and the previous 27 years where rutgers didnt go to a bowl. But i'll give rutgers some credit. they do have a long storied bowl game history... http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/bowls05/news...ght_164_history Perhaps your team should actually WIN a bowl game before you continue to run your mouth.
  24. i've never said FSU wasnt a steaming pile of crap this year, because we were. But UF is highly overrated, and frankly, not as good as michigan. Ohio st. 51, UF 6.
  25. good to see that the old JSP is back. i was scared about your health the past few weeks.
