  1. Joe Montana went to the Chiefs in 1993 and let them to the AFC championship game and then took them to the playoffs again the following year.
  2. They sure have...I really thought this was going to be another one point difference....that's how it was just before AI2 hit two huge buckets back to back, and then Philly closed it out. Been a great series!
  3. As good as RDJ was in that film, Val Kilmer as Gay Perry stole the show for me...it's just a great movie all around...I've seen it three times and loved each viewing.
  4. I'll third the vote for Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang...one of my favorite films ever. If you want an Adam Sandler type comedy that you may not have heard of, and one that it actually funny, check out "Grandmas Boy". If you want a classic older film that has stood the test of time, I'll recommend "Witness for the Prosecution". I like that you have Cedar Rapids on your list...I thought that was hilarious. PS. Another of my all-time favorite films just hit Netflix streaming - "Bubba Ho-Tep"
  5. Only way you can overcome shooting 23% in the first half is with heart and a team effort. Collins has these kids playing excellent team ball, and I really don't think there are many teams in the NBA who can compensate this well for their offensive shortcomings. Amazing effort tonight...I can't wait for game five, and I stand by my prediction that this series will go 7.
  6. HELL YES, AI2 WITH THE 3-POINT SHOT TO GO UP FIVE, 36 SECS LEFT....WOOOHOOO!!!!!
  7. Good luck tonight...huge game for my Sixers...if they win, we're goin' seven games...if we lose, I think it's over in five.
  8. Very cool...I honestly would have never even thought twice about seeing this, so thanks for the suggestion...looking forward to it. I've never been a huge sesame street guy, but I'm muppets-4-life!
  9. I love Jane Lynch...glad to know she's just as awesome in real life as she appears to be on screen. I'll add one more quick story to the thread, although this doesn't really count since it was an indirect contact with celebrity. Back in the late 80s, my cousin was in the airport and happened to see the dirtiest player in the game, Ric Flair, stylin' and profile'n in one of the terminals. He knew that I was a huge wrestling fan (and his sister was even cool enough to tape wrestling shows and mail them to me since I didn't have cable tv at the time), so he approached Ric and asked for an autograph. They realized that neither of them had anything to write on, so Ric told him to follow him to the magazine shop. He grabbed one of the wrestling magazines, found his pic on one of the pages, and signed the autograph on the spot. I was already a huge fan of wrestling, but knowing that Ric Flair did that and went out of his way just so some kid he didn't know could have his autograph made me an even bigger Flair fan on the spot.
  10. I enjoyed that one...saw it a while back and felt it was well done overall. James McAvoy is a really strong actor. Tonight I watched "The Devil Inside" and "$5 a Day". Can't really recommend either of them, although I did have fun with both. Devil inside was about rogue Catholic priests and exorcisms, a subject that always interests me...but the movie itself was pretty silly. The other film had Christopher Walken, of whom I am a huge fan, and was good enough to entertain but not anything I'd ever want to see again. I also watched the first half of "Heckler", which is a documentary done by Jamie Kennedy about stand-up comedy and the impact of the heckler. Lots of TBD favorites chime in with their stories and experiences and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. Looks like the Elmo film that Dr.D mentioned has excellent reviews...I will give that one a shot this weekend.
  11. Lisa Marie was looking hot tonight
  12. Just letting you guys know that Drive is now available on Netflix streaming.
  13. I saw the couple on the Dr. Phil show...pretty amazing story.
  14. She was the flavor of the month for a while...but Kate has stood the test of time.
  15. Ahhhhh, Kate...if there's a more perfect woman, I don't know who it is.
  16. Same here...PA2 is the first film to literally get me to jump. Enjoy this franchise quite a lot.
  17. It wsan't until recently that I realized just how big of an Eastwood fan I am. I'm glad to hear that he's got a sense of humor in real life, as well. The guy is a legend, and he's arguably put out some of his best work later in life. Gran Torino, Sands of Iwo Jima, Flags of our Fathers, etc... I was watching Space Cowboys the other day and forgot how much I liked that film, as well. I grew up watching him as Dirty Harry and in the Any Which Way You Can/But Loose films...he's easily one of my top five actors of all time. His daughter is beautiful, too
  18. Or spouses
  19. you were head to head with Hamdan?
  20. No big loss.
  21. If you want to see Rudd with a bit more range, check out Diggers. Can't say it's a HUGE departure for him, but definitely required more range.
  22. I'm surprised that Aubrey got fired, too. I think she would have kept things more interesting if she were one of the last two standing. It would have been fun watching her try and get people to work for/with her and raise money.
