  1. Watching the game from the now torn down American Sports Bar and Grill on Transit Road. There were about 1500 people there for the beginning of the game, and there were 500 left at half time. When Christie kicked the FG in overtime, you couldn't move! A family right in front of me hugged, and fell right to the ground. Waitresses were dancing on the tables. I think the bar stopped charging people for drinks but I'm not sure on that. I do know it was just an amazing time!

  2. it's not just the quarterback position.''

That comment by JP could piss off some of those who have been vocal of JP. I know I'm up too late, and over thinking things, but I see nothing more than a bunch of grown men wanting to win, win badly, and win now. I see no problems with that!!

A nice revision of the "Bickering Bills". We know what happened with the Bickering Bills, Part I.

  3. The City? :(  San Jose is bigger.  Besides you don't have to pay to park at the Brit.

Primary reason why I go to McCovey's in Walnut Creek. Plus, we're talking 2 minute drive vs. 45 minute drive (with no traffic), which on a Sunday, is only a dream.

For a pure Football fan, McCovey's is a GREAT place to watch Football. The National games on 4 HDTV Plasma's, and all the others above the bar. Very easy to keep tabs on every game going on.

  4. Listening to the sports out here about this (KGO), it was more of a situation where Winborn was unhappy about loosing his starting job to Andre Carter. Winborn then refused to play in the new Mike Nolan system. It was Winborn who asked to be traded. Nolan told him that he would accomidate him, and that he should clean out his locker as to not be a distraction, in which Winborn agreed.

Many 49er players interviewed said that this was not a punishment by Winborn. It was nothing more than a coach and a disgruntled player reaching an agreement about the players future.

  5. The fact that this question is asked about a young QB is an indication that some Balls fans have completely lost perspective (if they ever had it) about what most first-time starting QBs have to do to adapt to the pace of the NFL game.

"But Pitt won with BR last year!"  :o  Exception, not the rule. Get used to it. JPL could be a great QB. It's also possible the he will suck. Casting judgement after 3 NFL starts, either way, is utterly insipid.

I was going to make a perspective comment, but after reading your signature, I can't say nothing but great things about you.

  6. Was listening to KHTK (after Don and Mike), the idiot Grant Napier was singing the praises of Eli Manning, gave him an A for his performance yesterday, etc.

One thing he did say that caught my interest, is that he mentioned that he had seen Eli play every game, winning one of eight games, playing horribly in his first 5.

I started to think to JP. This is only his third game. He hasn't looked that good in the last two.

So, the questions are this. Are we pannicking too much about JP's performance? Should we give the kid more time to get his NFL bearings? Or is the writing on the wall about JP already?

  7. It was stated on the radio this morning that the press conference is to announce the June Championship Celebration weekend and to announce that throwback jerseys will be worn at the home opener and in one road game.

How cool would it be to have the Bills throwback jersey's against the Power Blue of the Chargers?!

  8. My uneducated guess in the shadow of Alex Smith, is that the Bills and the County reached some kind of deal, to where in return for the County not shelling out money for maintenance due to the County's debt, the Bills are extending their lease.

Either that, or Ralph sold the team to Golliasano, and the team will now be called the Rochester PayStubs!

  9. Solid B- to a possible B.

    Playmaker in Parrish. Good pick.

Addressed need on Offensive line with Preston and Geisinger. Needed depth with Everett. King pick is one of those "in case on a rainy day we need something" picks. Maybe the Lionel Gates pick is to signal that a Henry Deal is iminent? Other than that, no reasoning for that pick at all.

Overall, I'm not too dissapointed, although I am extremely pissed that the Jets got Nugent.
