  1. Does anyone actually feel like the Bills will win this week? I really have my doubts about beating Zona. I can just picture Emmitt Smith running wild on us.

No way, not against our D at home. My prediction is the cards will not get more than a FG and 175 yards of total offense against our D. If the O doesn't turn it over, then it will be Bills 20, Cards 3.

If the O plays like it did vs. Baltimore, it will be Cards 10, Bills 6, winning margain will be an INT returned for a TD.

But c'mon give our D some props.

  2. I agree with 1billsfan. As much as it sucks to think that we might have given Dallas a top 3 pick, in all honesty people WHAT would we have used that pick on?

Ding, ding, ding.....if you said Quarterback, good for you.

Would you rather have Leinhart, Walter, Rogers, etc. next year as a rookie paying them $$$$ up the @ss

    -or-

    JP Losman

Its not clear cut, but I choose JP.

    peace

We would have drafted QB in the 1st this year if we had the pick. The fair way to judge the trade, three years from now, is whether JP is better than any available QB that we could have gotten with the pick we sent Dallas. If the answer is yes and JP outperforms the QBs that were available in our spot from this year's draft, then the trade was a good one. If not, then the trade was bad.

  3. I agree he hasn't had many "bad" games, so, no its not all his fault. But he hasn't lifted his game up to put this team on his shoulders and win a game for us. He is no longer capable of doing that.

Thank you. Bledsoe only really cost us the Baltimore game. However, the Oak and Jax games were there for the taking. Same with the Jets.

I was the biggest Bledsoe supporter. I defended Bledsoe against Spiked and others all year. Even my hero , the great Jim Kelly had 4 int games. Hey "Interceptions are part of football," he used to say. Then he'd go out and throw 4 TDs the next week and we'd forget all about the 4 INT game. The problem here is that Bledsoe has not made a game winning play for the Bills since 2002. Have we won games since then....sure. But the team either won because Bledsoe didn't screw up or in spite of him. The Oakland game this year...C'mon Drew make a play, lead your team to victory. No way, meekly going down and offering up excuses. Get some passion, some fire in the belly. The Dallas and Houston games in 2003, are perfect examples of games that were there for the taking if only the leader of the team could step up and make a play. It never happened.

But it was after the Baltimore game and even his "angry" defense of his play that really burned me up. If he would have walked into the Baltimore press conference and flipped over the table, said I can't take this anymore, I promise all the fans we're gonna win next week and I'm going to play the friggin game of my life, I would have believed in him. But he plays like he did and apologizes to the Bills fans because he's still the QB???? Then he deflects blame to others around him. Give me a friggin break. You're the leader, STEP THE FUG UP!!!!

  4. Christ....I'm so sick of Moulds. When we run and get stuffed in the red zone time & time again he's yelling to throw the ball more. Then when we throw in the red zone and our idiot QB throws into double coverage or behind players Moulds yells to run more. He sounds like a fan more than a knowledgable player.

Oh stop it. Moulds is the best player on the team and one of the few idiots over there who actually gets it. I don't think its a coincidence that he is one of the only players left from the pre-TD era either.

  5. I turned on Empire and saw Reed's speech last night. He had Jimbo standing directly behind him on the podium. Pretty cool. He talked about how he and Jim argued like crazy during games but it made them so much better....they were fiery competitors and teammates and had each other backs. The other players he mentioned were Thurman, Bruce and Tasker and said they were possibly the best players ever at their positions. ANd Marv of course because he treated them like adults and respected them.

He said that 4 Superbowls in Buffalo would NEVER happen again and this current version of the Bills has a Loooooong way to go (before they do anything)! You could tell by his body language that Reed is not too fond of this current Bills team.

All in all it was good to see Reed humbled by the experience but he still has that cocky side to him that made him a great one.

Back when we had real players, a real coaching staff, a real front office, real uniforms.... <_<

:I starred in Brokeback Mountain: TD

  6. I just don't see it Brother...Not the way this Team is playing right now...Are they capable? Absolutely they are...But this Team has a sickness that is unexplainable to me. And until I see them go out and really Kick another Team around for 4 straight quarters, I doubt my lack of optimism will change...

    Hope you're right though!

I don't see it either. I thought the same way you did, cept I thought we'd beat Baltiomore, lose to the Hawks and snap the Patsies streak. Now I'm just down in the dumps and even winning vs. Zona ain't gonna change that.

  7. You guys are saying get a quality G or C, but I think that with MW & Villareal manning the G slots and Teague/Tucker at C, we'll be OK there. Jennings is gone, someone will pay him the big $$, hopefully, not us. That would mean we are short on T's, with only Price. We would need to draft a T and maybe even sign one that can stay healthy.

    Perhaps...

    LT - Munoz

    LG - MW

    C - Tucker/Teague

    RG - Villarial

RT - Price or Free Agent

  8. OK, here's what you do...

If you want to see the game this year you have a couple of choices. The Rams on Nov 21, seems to be the best one, as the last 2 home games will be against Cleveland and Pittsburgh and there will be a lot of out-of-towns fans. Tickets may be difficult to come by. You will be able to scalp tickets outside of the stadium for close to face value.

Try to fly to BUF from Paris. If thats too $$$, fly to JFK in NYC and then you can either fly JetBlue to Buffalo pretty cheap (and the airline is right at JFK) or take a train or drive up to Buffalo.

Hotels...The best thing to do would be to stay at the Downtown Hyatt. Its two blocks from Chippewa Street, Buffalo's downtown party district, where you can get food and beers. The rooms are about $100 - $150 a nite.

You will need a rental car. You can get one when you get to the Buffalo airport or at JFK.

    Hope this helps.

  9. Truth be told, it was this game against Baltimore that did in my membership card. Up until Sunday, I was hoping for a turnaround. Now I am convinced that all the alarm clocks in the world can't give to Drew what he needs: good instincts and fire in his belly.

Me too. I defended Bledsoe against Spiked and others all year. But what I saw in that game made me sick. Its not just one game though. At Oakland this year...C'mon Drew make a play, lead your team to victory. No way, meekly going down and offering up excuses. Get some passion, some fire in the belly.

Give me a friggin break.

  10. Simple analysis, Texas player vs. Miami player. Which do you take??

Well, outside of Priest Holmes, no Texas player as overachieved anything in the NFL in ten years. In fact, most have underachieved.

Now , not saying every Cane is great but generally they have lived up to the hype.

Miami produces good pros. Texas does not.

  11. No way. The stadium is nice because it's brand new. And there are no more stadiums, especially new one's that have bad sight lines for the most part. So, all of that stuff should be a given. And it is in the cookie cutter mold. That was also disappointing.

I didn't think it was cookie cutter, but maybe my frame of reference is not what yours is. I've only been to NFL games at 9 stadiums, some of which are gone. (Meadowlands, Foxboro, new Foxboro, Pro Player, Orange Bowl, 3 Rivers, Riverfront, Ralph and now Baltimore).

However, it was VERY VERY boring. Good sightlines are a given anywhere now. The crowd sucked on when they got into the game, and the endzones weren't even all that fired up. The fan enthusiasm blows. The tailgating is wretched.

I'll give you that the crowd sucked, but I was commenting only on the stadium, itself.

Nothing grossly wrong with football in Baltimore, it's just not a great NFL experience by any means. I was totally disappointed.

Never said it was a great NFL experience, just that I thought the stadium was nice.

One of the biggest problems was ticket prices. Very expensive face value. Even more expensive than the Meadowlands, which actually suprised me.

  12. But I agree as far as your assessment of the stadium and its fans. Cookie-cutter with zero character. Very similar to Charlotte's in that regard. I guess our perception of what gameday should be "all about" is skewed.

I couldn't disagree more. I thought the stadium was beautiful. Real classy with the brick and the columned scoreboards. The acoustics were great. I liked the "Protect This House" bit, and thought it would be great for us to come up with something like that.

The only real weakness was the fans, but c'mon they've only had a team for 6 years. That and they played "Shout" after scoring, an unmodified version. They need to come up with something original.

    Overall - B+

    Stadium - A-

    Sightlines - A

    Fan Enthusiasm - C+

    Tailgating - B-

  13. Thats a shame. Both my wife and I were at the game and fully decked out in Bills stuff (Me Kelly jersey & baseball cap, her Bills sweatshirt and hat) and outside of a little good natured, back-and-forth ribbing, found no problems with the Baltimore fans. Where were you sitting? We were in Section 152.
