1. If the do beat the Pats this year it has to be the first game

    Brady might be rusty.

Fred Jackson had some success running against them in the last game last year.

First game with TO and Evans together so Cheatercheck has no film to steal yet.

But they MUST Pressure Brady and test where his knee is at.

If they sit in that Tampa 2 Brady will nickle and dime them to death.

The way to beat Brady has always been to pressure him. I wish we would throw a lot more blitzes at the Pats* or for that matter every team we play.

Unfortunately with Brady we have not been able to do that since the 2003 opener!

  2. I was looking at the Bills Stats, and saw we only had 3 ints last season. 2 from McKelvin, against KC, and 1 from Greer in St. Louis. I thought that was pretty sad out of 16 games, but then I realize I was at both of theses games last year, enjoying the beating we give the Chiefs, and the Rams. Maybe I need to move to Buffalo so the team can get more INTS.

I think I remember an article that came out in the last month that said we had 3 INTs by the corners last year which is what I think you're refering to.

But as stated by an earlier poster we have 10 INTs.

Detroit was dead last with 4.

  3. Ding ding ding ding ding, we have a winner. That is what we're going to see a lot from Nelson this year. As the season progresses and hopefully his blocking ability, we'll see him on the field more and more and in different formations hopefully making defenses account for his playmaking ability on every play.

Sounds like an excellent player to have on the field in a hurry up offense!

    I'm a dreamer!

  5. ...... some Bill James book and hone up your understanding of statistics (not the ones on the back of your football card collection, those are descriptive statistics), I mean inferential statistics.

Nothing that drives me nuts more is someone undereducated moron slamming something that has science behind because they don't understand the science.

Sucks when GM shuts down, we get the board overloaded with idiots.

While I generally agree with you with respect to your point about statistics and research... You should consider proof-reading your replys when busting someones balls for their educational attainment.

  6. I'm at the Time Warner location in Orchard Park right now to get a free antenna. There are at least 200 people already in line and the people in front say they've been waiting here for 5 hours already.

I have been here for about 5 minutes and there are already another 100 people behind me.

I would just go buy one but every store I'm calling says they're sold out.

This is really starting to piss me off. My building will not let put up a sat dish, TW and Lin can't get their s#it togther, and going to a bar involves getting paying more for food, drink and a cab.

I can't help but feel as though I am somehow getting screwed here.

BTW I would now estimate at least 200 people behind me now.

    13 - 3!

This is the same record I have predicted every year of the contest. It is the one time of the year I cannot be proven wrong. Hopefully one of these years I will be right about the record, if I happen to correctly guess all the wins and losses even better! <_<

  8. You know what would be awesome?

If I couldn't watch a home Bills game on Thanksgiving night (or an away Bills game on Thanksgiving night for that matter) because of Time Warner. That would be most excellent.

Last year all NFL Netwok games were also shown on the local tv stations in the home towns of the 2 teams playing.

So if they repeat that this year we will be able to watch the game even if you don't have the NFL Network.

  9. I have predicted the Bills will go 13-3 for every contest so far and hopefully this year I will be right!

  10. The last I saw of him was last saturday night, when he was loaded at the Buffalo Sports Garden on southwestern Blvd. The man cannot hold his liquor. And he was kickin it to some fat a$$ chick.

Was he later found asleep behind the wheel at a stop light?

  11. ever heard of this guy named MIKE WILLIAMS???

well in case you dont ill refresh your memory,.

bills took him with the 3rd overall selection about 5 years back. he was a bust and we got rid of him before last season. ooh and on top of that he went to the University Of Texas.

everything must be bigger in texas being that dockery is 345 and williams was 368!

Ever heard of this form of humor called sarcasm?

Oh by the way Williams was drafted with the 4th pick of that draft!

  12. Acording to NFL Rules and what I've been eharing teams don't have the choice to amortize the bonus over the length of the contarct or acknowledge it all up front. according to the rules it must be amortized over the life of the contract. So even though the Bills look at it as all the bonus was paid this yera to Kelsay the books will show otherwise, becuase his bonuses will indeed be spread out over his 5 year contract.

This is why I'm not in favor of cash to the cap: because we're going to acknowledge his full signing bonus this year, yet next year we'll still be acknowledging it because it will be on the books and will therfore count against the cap.

Not if we do what the Vickings did when they signed Winfield. Instead of a bonus they gave him 12-13 mil in salary for the 1st year of his contract. Therefore it only counted against that 1st year.

  13. He's gonna be traded for draft picks.

What do you think those draft picks would be, a 5th and a 7th? I would be floored if a team offered a 2nd rounder and even then I wouldn't want the trade.

I hope our off season priority is addressing the lines, not getting an extra 2nd rounder and then having to replace Willis with valuable cap space or draft picks. I do not think A-Train is a capable full time RB, but I know Willis is. Granted Willis never turned out to be the top tier back we all hoped for but he is a quality starting back on most NFL teams.

I hope the Bills let Willis play out his contract and pick up some OGs and DTs with the higher draft picks and free agency. If the Bills don't re-sign Willis after 2007 then we address the position then.

  14. Might be helpful if you could point out what station is airing the game. I'm going to assume that you're talking about the NFL Network, but you know what happens when you assume!

Speaking of assuming... apparently Time Warner is assuming I will stay with them as a provider, even though they don't provide the NFL Network or Fox in HD, because they know my building won't allow dishes. Those bastards!

  15. The BB have been quoted as saying there are 18,500 tickets left.

I'd love to see 50K+ but I think it's highly unlikely.

    875549

If 18,500 tickets are left then that means there are about 54-55,000 seats sold. Most people who have a ticket and are not planning on going to the game will probably give their ticket away to someone who will go.

I think you will also see a couple thousand people like myself who plan on going to the Ralph early tomorrow with a few buddies and buying tickets then.

I suspect that we'll see about 54-59,000 actually show up at the game.

  16. The difference is that other teams are selling out their games now. Sellouts are now almost always a given in most NFL cities.

I am not saying anyone is obligated to buy a ticket. What I am saying is that because local people cannot afford to support this team all the time and considering the lowest ticket prices in the league, stuff like this increases the chance that the Bills will move in the long run.

    846984

When the Bills put a good product on the field they will have an easier time selling a game like this out. That is by no means a given though...remember the greatest comeback??

What should be more surprising is the fact that this is the 1st game not to sell out in a long time, considering that the product the Bills have put on the field has been lees than sub par for so many years!
