  1. He is a liability. He is completely fooled by every single reverse or draw. I watch film on the bills and while Schobel is never fooled, Kelsay is fooled by offensive trickery 90% if the time. He gets off blocks well against the run, and is tall.

Maybin has no chance. We should admit we screwed up and get rid of them both in the most financially responsible way.

We all knew Losman was never going to develop. We all know Maybin sucks. Why cant the front office admit it?

Maybin can be a good LB. I'ts still to soon to say he sucks. Wait to see what he does this pre-season/season and go from there.

  2. I was so mad when i went online to my directv account. I clicked on nfl sunday ticket, and price is now $315. yikes!!!

I'm still getting it. Maybe that's why I was mad. lol

So who else is krazy like me? Meaning renewing or singing up for sunday ticket.

$315 bucks to watch this team? No way. I'm cancelling. I can't believe they increased it that much.

Time to switch to dish network.

  3. We all seem to see what we want to see in TE. . .

Maybe his concussion-based double-vision has finally cleared up and he can see straight for the first time in two years...

It's been a long time since we've been able to hear him speak because he's usually buried under opposing defenders...

I can't wait for these guys to all get their chance this summer and we can know more and talk less.

Plus, calling out JK is fine - and being rude about it wouldn't have made TE more right, or more manly. Respect is something we should look for even in our favorite HGH/PED fueled behemoths -- and QBs too, for that matter.

Unfortunately, TE's double vision will be back with the O-line they are going to field this year...They haven't done anything to address the problems at tackle. Wang may end up being very good, but he is a project at this point.

  4. There are a lot of reasons why this franchise is a joke right now, but at the top of my list is the influence the former players seem to have. Why are Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas introducing Buddy Nix at his introduction press conference? Did Terry Bradshaw and Lynn Swann come out and introduce Tomlin when he was hired in Pittsburgh?

    No.

Why is Kelly ALWAYS on the sidelines everytime the Bills play on Monday Night Football? Go sit in the owners box.

I love what they did for the Bills when they played, but since they have retired, I see a bunch of ego maniacs who don't know how to handle not being in the spotlight anymore.

I don't like Trent Edwards, but sticking up for himself vs Jim Kelly is one thing I will support him on.

Kelly will be part OWNER of this team when Ralph kicks the bucket thats why. Its only a matter of time. If he isn't well then you may as well kiss the team goodbye. Get used to seeing Jimbo around...Ralph's time is limited as we all know.

  5. JR to check into a fat farm.

Okay, so JaMarcus is back over 300 pounds and nobody has the slightest interest in this colossal bust, but that doesn't mean the Bills shouldn't sign him.

First of all ESPN and NFLN haven't talked about the Bills in weeks. Signing JM would make us relevant again. True, everyone would be laughing at us, but that's better than being ignored.

Second, Russell was a #1 overall pick, so this guy must be 10 times better than any QB the Bills have. Do you know that Russell's score in Madden 2007 was a 90? That last Bills QB to have a score that high was Doug Flutie, and wasn't he awesome? Don't you want someone as awesome as Flutie again?

For cripes sake, people it's almost June and Nix hasn't done anything in weeks! WEEKS!! What the hell are they waiting for? GAAHHH! FRIGGIN' OFF-SEASON!

    :censored:

    PTR

I'd rather be ignored............JR is a fat LAZY pig who will never be a starting QB anywhere.

  6. I was watching the Video of the rookies touring the city of Buffalo; near the end of the video they showed everyone posing for a group pic, and Carrington stood out like a man amongst boys, and not just because he is tall. This guy looked huge, tall and built. This guy is going to be solid on the d-line for years to come.

Brian Bosworth was built like a brick $hithouse too, but what did he do on the field?

  7. Actually, he had a great year last year, and it's worth noting that after he got hurt in 2008, the Bills D fell off a cliff. Do some analysis before such posts. I suggest visits to footballoutsiders.com and profootballfocus.com. They'll both show you that he's one of the more effective DEs of the past decade, and that he had a very good year in 2009.

Great year last year? THe past 3 years (not including the season he was hurt) or so he shows up for maybe 3 or 4 games and thats it. Many games go by and you don't even HEAR his name, like he isn't even there.

Time to clean house on the D-Line. He won't fit into the 3-4 anyway...so I say who cares about him...Later Schobel.

  8. This is very low on the list of concerns. There or not, I do not see him as an impact player in the new scheme... Will be good if he is back and good if he retires....

Later Schobel...he's washed up anyway. May as well retire.

  9. I don't put much stock into Kiper's opinion. He's an expert on the draft, not football itself. He doesn't know any better than you or I how the new Bills' rookies are going to pan out.

Kiper is an !@#$. If he was so smart someone would pay him big bucks to be an NFL scout.

For a good laugh, someone out there ought to "grade" his past draft grades.

  10. If you really look at that play objectively, this is what happened (according to my amateur eyes):

The Jets are sending a blitz, rushing 5 men from the line with 1 LB on a delayed blitz and 1 LB checking the RB.

It's a three step drop for Trent (a quick play) and knowing there's a blitz coming, you better get rid of it quick.

    D. Bell successfully blocks #98

    J. Meredith successfully blocks #92

    Hangartner chips #99 which allows

    E. Wood to successfully block #99

Hangartner turns back to 93 who beats him, BUT...

Levitre is looking to block #98 who Bell already has taken care of

what should have happened is while Hangartner chips #99 and passes him off to Wood, Levitre

should have been chipping #93 and then passing him off to Hang before he turns to help Bell with #98

On the other side D. Fine initially has #97 blocked, who then beats Fine inside on a 2nd move

Fred Jackson successfully blocks LB #57...but #52 is also coming on the blitz

Trent takes 3 step drop kind of pumps the ball twice, then feels the pressure from #93 on the left, takes a step

up, but by this time #97 has beaten Fine with his 2nd move and #52 is coming in, Trent takes another step in

    and then buries his head.

So, if you were to blame anyone on the O-line, it would have to be Levitre...

but really, Trent had 2 (maybe 3) chances to throw the ball...if he had thrown at any of those moments,

Fine's man and the delayed LB (who are the guys who crushed him) don't even get close to Trent.

On a quick play with a blitz coming, you look for your hot read and try to complete it, if it's not

there you gotta throw it away. It's not about whether you see it coming or not, it's about the internal QB

clock that they always talk about. You have to know in that type of situation how much time you have and

act accordingly. So, I definitely put that play on Trent, with Levitre, of course, not helping the situation.

Anyhow, I'm not trying to dump on Trent...I like him and I think he looks like our best option right now

(Fitz ain't it and Brohm and Brown are unknowns). I hope Trent can put it together with better offensive

coaches/play calling, but that play was definitely not Hangartner's fault, and even the best lines in the league

can't hold out for long against a 7 man rush...you have to get rid of that ball quicker.

To the original post, according to how people refer to it, yes, you'd have to say Trent is injury prone

and it does worry me, but does that mean he can't go out and play next season without a significant

injury? No, because who knows and with better coaching maybe his clock gets better rather than rung.

Anytime your center is lying on the turf at your QB's feet, he's been beaten badly...I like Hangman, but I don't think he's a good center.

Levitre didn't do squat on that play. He didn't block ANYONE. Wood also got knocked on his ass which allowed the other LB to have a clean shot on the QB. If Wood says upright, he could have rolled outside of Meredith and blocked 52. Can't do much when you are on your ass.

Bell, Meredith and Jackson were the only ones who blocked properly on that play.

Our great line consists of two rookie guards, a left tackle that started less than five games, a practice squad right tackle, and a center who would be a better guard - this will get your QB KILLED. I don't care who it is.

  11. His parents are like the Chinese version of Todd Maronivich's Dad! He started lifting at 10 (so much for stunting growth) and his Mom says EW's life was, "Basically school, homework, training then go home shower and sleep." I guess you have to be bigger and stronger than everyone else when your last name is Wang. More of a preperation for life than football.

I know a guy named "Giant Wang"...and thats no joke.

  12. Yeah yeah yeah. The OL sucked last year. What was the excuse 2 years ago when it happened, because the OL wasn't all that bad then. Oh wait I remember; he didn't have any weapons. Three years ago, wait; play calling i think that was the problem. What is the excuse going to be this year ? Ah, new offense I bet.

Trent doesn't know how to take a hit correctly, stop making excuses. David Carr used to get the you know what kicked out of him for almost 3 years. I think he was the most sacked and hit QB in his early days, yet he got up and played. Trent on the other hand has :D

Tom Brady is a puss too then I suppose because he doesn't know how to take a hit on the side of the knee. He missed all of 2008...

I guess the only "good" QB's in your book are Favre and Peyton Manning....

  13. Know, it's called pocket presence. Gruden talked about it during his rookie QB special. And Trent, like Colt doesn't know how to take or avoid being hit.

Here is a perfect example from the Jets game last year. 3 step drop, he doesn't get rid of it at the top of his drop when he is supposed to and then what does he do? He puts his head down and runs into the rush...... :D That right there is a guy who didn't use the two eyes on the front of his head to avoid that injury. At the 16 second mark.

All QB's have a blind side. You mean to tell me you never saw a hall of fame QB get smashed to the turf from the blindside? You haven't watched enough football apparently.

And by the way, a "pocket" has to be formed by the O-line in order for a QB to develop "pocket presence". How many times were our QB 's hit by the time they got to the end of their 3rd step drop? Our O-line SUCKED last year...and most people here blame the QB. It is friggin hilarious.

Watch the play you posted. Hangman (63) our awesome center, was beaten badly on that play. Levitre (67) didn't block anyone either... Do you see a pocket formed there? LOL! come on dude wake up! Edwards felt the pressure from behind but had NOWHERE to go but into the chest of 97 (who wasn't blocked by our TE (86)) Even if he threw the ball away, he still gets whacked. That sack and QB injury resulted from a COMPLETE breakdown in pass protection.

  14. Injury prone players are players who don't know how to protect themself. Trent Edwards is one of those players. He gets concussions because he doens't see the blitz coming and takes a hard hit.

LOL omg some of these posts are hiliarious. DO you have eyes in the back of your head? I know what your problem is...you have no brain.

  15. Well if we use stats from one game to say that Brohm is no where near starting material then I can use one game performance to show that Edwards is no where near starting material. That is what I was getting at, I'm not going to completely break down both games and find excuses either way.

I don't care who starts at QB but Edwards was far better in his first appearance than Brohm. Why? Maybe the O-line was better that year (YEA), or maybe Edwards is better than Brohm?? Too early to tell. All I know and I keep saying NO QB would play well with a 3rd string O-line, an NFL Europe offense, and a coach who had had no guts.

  16. Ok so Brohm was on the team for a couple weeks, only had 1 week of first team reps in practice. What would you expect to see from him?

How about 16 out of 31 for 152 yards and 1 interception? Those are Trent's stats against the Browns last year.....pretty darn similar except Trent has been a starter in the league 2 years and has no excuse especially being it was the frigging Browns.

The defense gave up 171 yards rushing, they had 13 penalties for 75 yards nine of which were false starts and you are blaming poor QB play for that loss...?

Any QB would have struggled on this team last year playing behind a 3rd string O-line, and pathetic NFL Europe game plans Van Pelt came up with.

  17. First of all let me say this...most of you believe that trent will start next year over brohm for whatever reason and I dont believe you know what you all are talking about..just because brohm was picked up for nothing people believe he is garbage and will never start in this league....ONE major reason he will/should start next season is that even in his one and only start HE ACTUALLY TARGETS HIS RECIEVERS!! if you could go back to the one game he started, you can tell he threw to his recievers on numerous occasions, I remember Lee had at least 4 receptions...how many passes would trent through to all of them per game, 3 4 times???? Owens reception streaked was broken because trent has no idea whats going on.......hes a complete bum and even if brohm isnt that much better he should be the one to start next season regardless

In his start he was 17 out of 29 for 146 yards and two INT's. His QB rating was 43.2 and averaged a measly 5.0 yards per attempt. Yea thats starting material there. He targeted his WR's but also Atlanta's DB's.

The guy is a project, and no where near a starting QB. Fitz and Edwards would both start over him.
