  1. To those that CONTINUE to defend Whitner....Just comparing some of Whitner's numbers. Is he still worth the money? BULLLSHT.

DONTE WHITNERS CAREER...64 games started, 1.5 sacks, 5 INTs, 1 TD, 17 PDef, 3 FF.

    ERIC BERRY - 14 GAMES STARTED, 2 sacks, 3 INT, 8 PDef, 1 FF.

    TROY POLAMALU - (LAST 58 STARTS, 5 SEASONS) - 2 sacks, 19 INTs, 1 TD, 50 PDef, 5 FF

KENNY PHILLIPS - 19 GAMES STARTED, 12 PDef, 4 INTs,

    ADRIAN WILSON - (LAST 5 SEASONS, 70 GAMES,) - 11.5 SACKS, 15 INTS, 1TD, 7 FF, 35 PDef

    LARON LANDRY - (LAST 56 GAMES STARTED) - 4 sacks, 4 INT, 5 FF, 31 PDef.

    YEREMIAH BELL - (LAST 57 STARTS) - 6 sacks, 4 INT, 8 FF, 36 PDef.

    DAWAN LANDRY - (62 STARTS) - 5 sacks, 2 FF, 9 INTs, 24 PDef,

    RENALDO HILL - (LAST 67 STARTS) - 2 sacks, 3 FF, 9 INTS, 2 SACKS, 22 PDef

So in conclusion, what is Donte Whitner good at?

    ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

He is good at two things:

    1) Talking smack

    2) collecting his paycheck

    That is all.

  2. Seemed like Kelsay had yet another solid game to me. It's a few weeks in a row now.

He still looks like a fish out of water when they run strange defenses that get him 20 yards downfield, but he played well off the edge and was applying consistent pressure. It's hard to sack Roethlisberger.

Give the man some love! :)

Don't know how many times the guy gets close the the QB and MISSES the tackle! He needs to learn how to drive his body into the QB rather than reaching for him. He often gets close but misses which is frustrating to see.

  3. Is there a worse TV Analyst than Soloman Wilcots. When I listen to him it drives me nuts. Whatever occurred in the last 3 minutes is what he says is happening the entire game. Bad short term memory I guess. He does not accurately describe what is happening and every once in a while he throws some obscure coaching term into the discussion in order to try to make him sound like he knows something.

Collinsworth - During the Sunday night game, he kept saying over and over and over San Diego should get the ball more to Gates - a guy that could hardly run due to ijuries to both feet.

  4. Unless a rookie can come in and put up 300+ points and multiple TDs each week...

FITZ NEEDS TO BE OUR DUDE!

We need some LBs and DEs!

I think they should draft a QB they can develop - unless they think Brohm or Brown is that guy. Don't waste the first round pick on a QB. The team has other larger holes to fill IMO.

  5. It takes real effort to F-up a franchise this bad. There should not be ANYONE left in the scouting

department after this season. This team is so void of talent it is ridiculous. The only two

1st round picks that are good at all in the last many years are Lee Evans and Eric Wood.

For those thinking that they should "build around Fitz", I think that he is showing why he is a

    tough overachieving career-backup.

Even formerly good K Rian Lindell is now awful. How on earth do you kick the ball out of bounds

with 1:17 left? That error gave Cincinatti 3 points and if the Bengals were worth a crap, they'd

have scored 7. Way to just hand momentum right back to Cinci after a late score gave the Bills

    just a little hope.

I've been a fan since the late 60s and while I admire the team's effort, they are just truly

awful and might be the worst team I have seen in those 40 some years.

Whew, I needed to vent that. I'll try to get back to being calm and rational now.

49-31 ....Nuff said. Yea the roster isn't loaded with talent, but they are playing with heart and they never quit. That my friend can overcome a lack of talent. Grats to Gailey. You have the guys playing as a team once again.

  6. In 1989 after Kelly got hurt & Reich won games when he was out, some fans wanted Reich to remain the starter. Marv was adamant that as soon as Kelly was ready, Reich was going back to the bench. So while there was a QB controversy with the fans & in the media, there was none on the team.

I think that was the year Bill Polian got pissed during an interview and said something like "Jim Kelly is the quarterback, if you don't like it get out of town".

  7. Lindell is fairly solid for the most part and he got a nice kick to send the Ravens kick into overtime, but it was not a long kick yesterday and he missed it. That same distance lost us a game against the Browns on Monday night and it seems like there have been others where he has had a chance to make a kick to get a win or at least a bit closer and he just doesn't get it. Has anyone else noticed this?

Lindell is one of (if not the) most accurate kickers in Bills history. When has he had a chance to kick for a win other than the KC game? The kick in KC was 54 yards into a nasty wind. He made it once and nearly twice. I have no problem with Lindell. He's human and will miss now and then - I really don't see the point of your post. I think he is actually one strong point of this team.

  8. 1.- Erik Flowers DE

    2.- John McCargo DL

    3.- Aaron Maybin OLB/DE

    4.- J.P. Losman QB

    5.- C.J. Spiller RB

How many 2000s Bills 1st Rd make Pro Bowl?

    Just Marshawn Lynch

WAY too soon to call Spiller a bust. The others yea I agree...your list is missing Mike Williams.

  9. What a play at the end of the game to secure the loss by Shawn Nelson! He literally may have saved the entire season with that fumble.

In a week where Carolina and Cleveland suffered key victories, the Bills now stand alone atop the draft mountain.

The Ravens clearly got caught asleep at the wheel. They were already looking past Buffalo, and couldn't take them seriously. The Bills, on the other hand, were fired up and motivated by all this UFL talk.

Don't fool yourself into thinking that Fitzpatrick is the answer or that this team is on the doorstep of something great, they still need to rebuild entirely.

The Bills gave their best effort today, and the Ravens gave one of their worst - and it still wasn't enough to get a win.

This team is miles away and desperately needs that number one draft pick. Thank you Shawn Nelson for getting us one step closer.

You should be thanking Ray Lewis, not Shawn Nelson. Lewis got the troops fired up after we went up 24-10 and then led by example - He ripped the ball out of Nelson's hands to essentially end the game in OT.

  10. Yes he did. He looks exactly the same to me...nothing has changed at all for this guy. If hes still in the second half and Tennesses brings pressure get ready for some sacks and 2 yard completions to MJD

Yes, something changed - his uniform and thank God for that.

Did anyone else notice how on third and goal (before the 4th and goal when he threw his second interception) Edwards threw it to a receiver who had been on the ground, and out of the play, for at least three seconds???

The pervious comments about how Edwards looks different, "more comfortable" and "more decisive" are some of the most asinine comments I think I've ever seen. Anyone who thinks Edwards has looked good in this game... wow... I won't go into insult mode...

I noticed he threw to the receiver on the ground. What was he thinking? That he would draw a penalty or something???????

He does "look different" - He's in a Jag uniform.... thats about the only difference. LOL

  11. Ever since Doug Flutie was benched by then Head Coach Ralph Phillips or was it Wade Wilson the Bills have been terrible with string of bad luck and horrendous personal decision. I think we need a new name to help us survive these years of misery. If the NY Rangers can get though chants of "1940" and the Red Sox make it through the curse of the Bambino. Why not a curse name of our own. It will at least give us some form of identity. I was think about the The Corn Flake Curse.

    What's yours?

Music City Miracle Curse = MCMC - haven't made the post season since.

  12. Aside from cutting Trent, can anyone name ONE positive move that the Bills Front Office has made in the past year?

I don't consider drafting Spiller a good move because

    a) we did not need a RB

    b) he has not contributed much this year

    c) even if he was best player available, we could have traded down and drafted a LB and OT.

They dumped Lynch for a draft pick.

  13. Who decided to covert Chis Kelsay to a LB? Who decided to take a bad 4-3 team and turn it into an abysmal 3-4 team?

No doubt the personnel people suck, but so does George Edwards.

The worse decision regarding Kelsay was to sign him to an extension. Who the hell made that call? Did you see him trying to cover the Jags TE's yesterday? THis guy is a F'n joke at LB. Yea the best LB's get burned sometimes, but Kelsay does multiple times week in and week out.

  14. The amount of **** that Whitner gets should be immediately moved to Paul Pozoutofposition.

The guy gets beaten like mercilessly every weekend and yet he sells shirts like he's the only player on the team. Can someone please explain to me why this guy is treated like a white Patrick Willis yet he never seems to make a play that isn't 6 yards downfield.

Cause his D-line sucks and the rest of the LB's.

  15. Eric Wood's development was obviously stunted by his injury and I hope he will develop into one of the top guards in football, but he sucks right now.

He gets no push in the run game and his immobility is increasingly targeted through stunts and interior blitzes on passing downs.

Demetrius Bell is further towards becoming a serviceable lineman at this stage of his career.

The entire line sucks...just noticed now? Flush all 5 of them and start over.

  16. Where are all of the geniuses that ran these guys out of town because they thought the Oline was the reason why Edturds stunk. Great job! We are in much better shape now. I'm sure Ralph appreciates your support of his decision to pinch some pennies, save some money and keep us WAY under the cap.

Peters is fat, lazy, injury prone, overpaid POS and is Walker even starting anymore? Do you really think the O-line would be better with these guys? Come on man, take a whiff of what you are shoveling. The line was BAD when these guys were here..it wasn't all the QB. After Edwards went down the line still played like s hit.

  17. ONE BAD GAME?! EVANS = Ferarri?! Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!! I didn't know you were a comedian! Thanks for the laugh!

Evans was more like a Pontiac Soltice. This year, he's been playing like a Ford Pinto. Just to prove my point, lets look at the Evans' stats:

    2010

    4-34

    0-0

    5-54

    1-6

Bringing his 4 game total to a whopping 10 receptions, for a mind boggling 94 yards and 0 TD's. That's 23.5 yards per game for a #1 WR, that's making $9+ million a year. If Evans were to continue that stat total for the rest of the year, he would finish with: 40 receptions and 376 yards

The "BRAINS" at one Bills drive will look at these numbers and say: Gee... Lee has been here a long time, and is producing. Lets give him a raise and long term extension!

23.5 yards/game? Most number 1 WR's in this league get 23.5 yards per DRIVE. Year after year and week after week he is easily eliminated from the game plan.

As I said, clowns like Lee Evans keep this team stuck in neutral.

  18. I think if you really break it down, it's Ralph. All the guys who had a plan, he got rid of because they wouldn't conceid to his meddling. The guys who let him get in the way, can't succeed.

It's almost become painfully obvious to me now...

RALPH WILSON - he is the only one to blame. He keeps hiring morons to run his organization. Look at the draft picks over the past decade...how many are still on the roster? The ones that are on the roster are nothing but busts (Mr. Maybin is a prime example)

He ran Bill Polian out of town - must be the WORST blunder he ever made. He even ran the last coach that got us to the playoffs out of town. This team will not improve until Ralph is out of the picture.
