  1. Whitner had 13 tackles today just fyi

I agree these guys havent been playing well but you need to tell me why cutting them makes our team better

I just dont see the point of creating a hole, just to create a hole

These are the guys that keep this team stuck in neutral. Evans is too easily eliminated week after week after week. Whitner...talks a good game but can't cover and gets burned way too easily. I agree....its time to move on..maybe not right now but definately after the season.

  2. Seriously, it is such a waste. We have two work horse RB's in lynch and Jackson that can carry the load all by themselves, now getting in some cases less than 5 carries. 2 backs total, one to complement Spiller and run with it. Jackson is obviously the more balanced back since he can do everything Lynch can plus run the wildcat, but do we utilize this, no! I'd like to see Lynch traded, but some move has to be made here with this position to build for the future.

WE DON'T NEED 3 STARTING RB'S WITH THE CURRENT STATE OF THIS TEAM!

They need to DUMP LYNCH. The sooner the better. Take whatever you can get. He won't help this team win.

  3. Just have a question for all you long time bills fans. By long time im talking like 30-40 years. Anyways, my question is: Has there ever been a lower point to be a bills fan? If yes, when? Just curious. Go bills :bag:

1984 and 1985. I remember I taking the logos off of my Bills coat during one of those two seasons. I wouldn't wear it otherwise..haha! Back to back 2-14 seasons were pathetic.

  4. Matchups. Who is going to cover Tomlinson out of the backfield? Who is going to cover Keller at all? I'm all for a well timed blitz, but even Sanchez would find these outlets and hurt us bad. Oh....and McGee is hurting.

The answer is better line play. If TEs continue to manhandle our DEs, that leaves the OT's to clean up everything else. The only blitz that makes sense for this motley crew is up the middle. Shortest distance between two points. Test Mangold's ailing shoulder, which happens to be on the same side as their struggling rookie, Slaussen.

Kelsay, the 24 million dollar man will cover Tomlinson. LOL!

  5. Yes, it makes sense to overpay an aging, clumsy, slow, defensive end to play linebacker for a four year deal, because it is impossible to conceive that the Bills might be able to replace him. In four years.

    Four years.

I feel a little better now about the rude post you felt like putting in my thread, to see that you are actually just a total idiot.

LOL! Agree with you 100%. This organization let SEVERAL good players walk away over the past ten years....Then they throw the bank at a worthess aging bum who was average (at best) as a DE, and SUCKS even more as a LB. Way to go guys.

  6. OMG!!!!!

ONLY in town like Buffalo where the likes of Pornadino are celebrated as reformers and heros can a total scrub and waste of space like Christie Kelsay be rewarded with this kind of contract.

    I mean this is unreal.

If U released this turkey today he wouldnt even be resigned for the veterans minimum next season.

This turkey is a bonafide scrub. I mean the Bills just screwed up their salary structure going forward!!!!

We let London Fletcher, Antoine Winfield and Pat Williams walk over money yet we paid this obscene amount for a scrub?

In honor of our song: "The Bills make we wanna SHOUT!"

It should be changed to the "POUT" song...lol!

  7. Paying Kelsay 6 million a season over the next four years makes no sense at all. What has he done to earn this extension? The guys SUCKS as a LB! He wouldn't smell the starting lineup on the other 31 teams in the league.

Maybin will probably be next to sign an extension... LOL! How friggin SAD!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. I certainly hope they aren't planning on going after someone like Kevin Kolb.......It would remind me too much of how they thought Rob Johnson was a starting QB....Rob had a good game starting due to injury, we gave up too many picks for him, he came to Buffalo and stunk.

Kolb has a few good games as a starter, but I'm not sure the guy is a starting NFL QB. He may not be any better than Fitz.

I have a feeling something is in the works....

  9. Whisenhunt "arrived" in 2007. I would think taking that long, and waiting until just before the season to make the move, would be seen as inept. I guarantee you it would be seen as a colossal screw-up if it happened on the Bills.

And I would think you would applaud the move as an effort to stop the death spiral. How can dumping your worthless QB be a bad thing?

This was the right move...addition by subtraction. I think it would have made more sense if they had another QB prior to cutting him, but who knows what is in the works.

  10. Schobel kept his word and retired.

How many times must this be pointed out to you?

Nix did nothing wrong. Schobel wanted the Bills to make the decision for him, and they did.

As for Icognito, he was a Guard. The Bills have plenty of Guards. How many more do you want?

You are correct, Incognito is a guard.. However, they could have kept him at guard, moved Andy Levitre to LT (which he played some last season and did a good job), and put Bell at RT.

Letting Incognito go wasn't very smart.

Letting Incognito go wasn't very smart...especially with Wood coming off a severe leg injury. Thankfully he came back quickly...if not how much worse "wood" the line be? :)

  11. When's the last time Roscoe figured so positively into the passing game? I was excited to see him used so heavily, like Spiller he's a game breaker.

    That's nothing new.

But why do we seem to keep drawing up plays for him to catch the ball while standing still? You NEVER see Welker catch the ball unless he's on the run, that's what leads to his huge YAC. Now that Fitz must have some confidence in #11, I'd love to see some crossing stuff or whatever it takes to get him the ball in full stride.

    Look out!!!

Roscoe's performance is further proof that Jauron was a BAD head coach. How many games was he inactive last year? DUHHHHHHHHHHH!

  12. If he doesn't make the change he's an idiot and doesn't see what we all see: that the offense sucks. If he makes the change he's in panic mode. He's not going to win with people like you and Jerry Sullivan, so are you looking for a lot of "right on!" statements here, or a conversation, or what?

I take issue with giving Edwards the shot to begin with (and not giving Brohm et al a chance with the #1s), but this is a pretty conservative league and I understand WHY it happened that way. The Spiller pick should have signalled that this is a regime that is trying, at least, to take the long view. That might make the games excruciating right now, but at least Chan is adjusting to respond to the veterans' (and by extension, the fans') needs while building it up.

Brohm.. LOL! The answer at QB isn't on the roster.

  13. One decent drive and the curtain closed on a second game this season where the Bills can't even generate 200 yards of total offense. More to come, folks, more to come.

I am positive we are playing for the #1 overall pick in next years draft. I am also positive that whoever they pick number 1 will be the next BUST of the century. This franchise is stuck in REVERSE with the pedal to the floor. Pathetic.

Oh yea, one more positive. I am positive they will be 0-5 at the bye.

  14. i detest the pats. However, this year the jets have been getting so much attention that they have climbed really high on my dislike list.

having said that, i still prefer the pats to lose. LOVED THE RAVENS IN WEEK 1. they gave the jets a well deserved @ kick!

    how about you guys?

i vote for a jets win!

Brady will outplay Sanchez. Pats win this one easy.

  15. I have never seen a more incompetent call in my time as a fan of the NFL. The ref even watched the video replay and STILL had the balls to call this an incomplete catch. Amazing this stuff can happen nowadays. Nice job Goodell, keep up the good work with your moronic rule changes.

    Incomplete???

The call had nothing to do with the refs - they followed the rule as it is written and made the correct call - incomplete pass.

  16. I would even add Joe Namath to that list

look at his stats sometime 1967 was by far his best year

    http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/N/NamaJo00.htm

12 years 4 of which were serviceable (I do realize it was a different game back in the day and in some ways that make up for it but still, he was SOOO freaking overrated most of his career.

Dang, I never realized Namath sucked so bad....His stats are horrible.

  17. Quarterbacks: F

The Bills have arguably THE worst quarterback situation in the NFL. What more is there to say?

    Running Backs: B+

While the Bills don't have one of the marquee backs in the league, they have a talented stable of backs that many teams would be happy with.

    Offensive Line: C

The young guards look good, the tackles are way below average.

    Tight Ends: F

Foschi and Stupar are terrible. Nelson is suspended, a mediocre receiver, and a liability in the run game.

    Wide Receivers: D

Lee Evans is a solid player. He would make a nice number 2 on a lot of teams. Everyone else would fail to make the roster on a team with a good offense.

    Defensive Line: C+

Williams is serviceable, Stroud has a little left in the tank, and things are dicey beyond that.

    Linebackers: D-

Poz will never live up to expectations, Mitchell is aging, and the rest are journeyman backup caliber.

    Cornerbacks: C+

McGee is solid, Florence is not too bad for a nickel/dime guy. McKelvin has done nothing to warrant the high draft choice as of yet.

    Safeties: B

Stong unit on the whole, good depth. I may have graded them higher but I'm skeptical that Byrd is the real deal.

    Overall Team Grade: D

There is some talent on this offense, but that passing attack is just plain awful. In a league that favors the passing attack more and more every year, its going to be hard for the Bills to win many games with the meager production to be expected from their passing game. The defense has some talent as well, but the switch to 3-4 highlights the linebackers who are unfortunately the weak link of the defense.

What are you basing these grades on? The past coaching staff/philosophy and 4 meaningless pre-season games. Wait a few weeks to see how they perform and stop acting like you know more than an NFL front office and coaching staff.

Saying they have the worst QB situation is purley based on past history - an a s s hole head coach, an injury riddled O-line, and an offensive coordinator fit for a high school team. I'm sure you took this into account when you considered your "grades". Give me a break.
