  1. jaws or gruden said that only 15 out of 45 passes have been completed aganist him. Nice move Bills to let him go

The Bills will never retain a quality player once their contract is up. Enjoy Byrd while he is a Bill. When his contract expires he will move on and get the big bucks. Ralph will NEVER open his wallet to even match what another team will offer.

  2. First off the Texans had a huge lead when the int happend and its not like the int was returned for any big yardage. His drop balls (for the most part) are balls that are uncatchable. He draws more coverage then anyone on the team and if he had a half decent QB (example: Romo) the deep ball play would work. You could point to alot of reasons why the offence isn't working. T.O. isnt one of them. First off they have enough problems trying to keep the O on the field. (when was the last time the Bills had more TOP then the other team?) and now you want to take away the coverage that T.O. gets and add it on the likes of Johnson and Hardy? The O line is brutal and has been brutal all season. Can't run the ball, cant pass the ball. Lets blame T.O.!

What games have you been watching? Most of the balls he drops are RIGHT IN HIS HANDS. He has a long history of dropping passes in critical situations. How many drops did he have last year with the Cowboys? The guy is a waste of 6.5 million and is an overrated pice of trash.

  3. Dick Jauron is a nice guy who also happens to be a terrible football coach. He's the type of guy any of us would want as a neighbor but no one wants coaching our team. The guy is accepting the blame and taking a whipping every week. Not that he doesn't deserve some of it but it's really starting to go over the top.

Could we please lay off the personal attacks and just focus on how bad of a coach he is. Some moron in another thread thinks we should hire someone to have him killed! Really? Is that what the level of discourse on this board is coming to?

I realize he's leading the team nowhere but he's only one piece of a team of buffoons and underskilled players that are putting us through this. I'm as frustrated as anyone but when we devolve into wishing the guy was dead that's just a bit much.

    Stay classy Bills fans.

NICE GUYS SHOULD NOT BE NFL FOOTBALL COACHES.... PERIOD. The guy sucks! He should walk away while his head is still attached to his body.

  4. Everyone goes on that this guy's only postitive attribute is that he is a good aguy and widely respected.....for being a good guy.

Every week he accepts blame for the ineptitude of his team, yet he will not walk away and allow for the significant possibility that anyone else could come in and do better.

HE weekly admits that he's just no good.

    From Sully:

Then why are you still here???? Be the honorable man you claim to be and walk away.

Dick fell on his dick a long time ago... Nothing happened because he fell on nothing...thus he remains coach of the Bills

  5. Then how can you blame the QB's and say they are bad? A good QB would have this offence playing much better, good QB's do that. Unfortunatly, neither of Buffalos starters this year are good enough to help a team win.

Kelly in his prime would be able to make passes to Evans and TO (no guarantees that Mr. "First Ballot Hall of Famer" OWens would catch the ball though)

I gurantee you if Kelly was throwing passes to TO and he was dropping them, he wouldn't hesitate to get in his face. Did you ever see Edwards or Fitz chew out anyone for missing an assignment, dropping a pass, missing a block...etc.

The QB's on this team aren't LEADERS. They play with no emotion just as Jauron coaches with no emotion.

  6. :wallbash: I think we should just cut T.O. and let James Hardy start getting some more experience. There is no way he is gonna be resigned by the Bills next year. He really isn't making any big contibutions....experiment....a failure but was it worth the try and his currant salary...I think not!! Any thoughts?

James Hardy = ANOTHER WASTED DRAFT PICK.

  7. The screen pass was thrown WAYYYYY ahead of him. Settle down, he didn't miss the screen pass.

Right on 1 and 3. On their opening drive he danced around instaead of putting his head down on 3rd and 3 and driving forward for the first down. He had the first down if he dove forward. For some reason he decided to dance east and west....maybe he is coached that way LOL!

The screen pass was horribly thrown.

  8. Why is it that the Buffalo Bills are always the team that is most affected by injuries?

Whitner with an ankle/knee/thumb, Bryan Scott with an ankle, McKelvin with a leg, Pozluzney with a forearm (twice), TO with a toe, Edwards with a concussion, Mitchell knee, Buggs knee, Schobel with a groin, Meredith with a knee, Byrd with a (stopped watching at that point)? Why do the Bills players ALWAYS get hurt?

Are these tackling fundamentals that they are not being taught? How is it that other teams don't have these problems? I understand injuries are part of the game, but to this extent it isn't. This is butchery. For at least three consecutive years this team has been hampered by injuries and a lack of depth to support those injuries.

We finally get a bright spot on this team (Jairus Byrd) and he goes down in the 4th quarter. Have the Bills turned into footballs version of the Chicago Cubs?

The team isn't mentally or physically ready to play football PERIOD. The coach is a JOKE. He's the reason why the team loses several players every year to injury. They play tiddly winks during practice all week, then strap on the equipment and play football on Sunday...doesn't work that way DICK. DO THE FANS A FAVOR AND QUIT YOU LOSER!

  9. And trade Ellison for a 2nd round pick! What world are people living in? Stroud and Lynch for round one picks? Seriously?

I like both guys but you are getting a 3rd or a 4th max for either one!

Also, the biggest thing this team needs is a QB. We need a QB and it fixes 75% of your problems. We have good enough guys as WRs to get the job done. But having 10 3 and outs does not help your team or defense or field position. Get a QB that is great and you have a great team. Not very easy to find that is the problem.

Dude, the O-LINE needs to be fixed. Fix that and you will fix 50% of the problem. The other 50% will be fixed once the head coach is fired and a REAL offensive coordinator is in place.

You can't run or pass with a GARBAGE O-Line. None of these guys would start on any other team in the NFL. Hangman might be the only acception.

  10. I think what they need to do is much simpler...they need to identify one guy right now to hire to run football operations. Hire him right away. Fire nobody. Let him start work now on the offseason during the week and he can spend his Sundays and the beginning of the week seeing who on this team is worthy of keeping. That gives a new guy two months to strategize for the draft and offseason, find a coach that fits his team vision, and puts discipline and accountability into the organization. It's clear that we need a real football ops guy in here. Bring him in NOW.

Agree. Isn't this exactly what Miami did when they brought Bill Parcells into the front office a few years ago?

  11. Agreed. It's clear that Fitzpatrick is not as talented as Edwards, but is willing to attempt throws that Trent isn't. At this point, it's making Fitzpatrick a more attractive option. By attempting these throws, defenses are having to respect a dimension that wasn't there before. It's an issue where Fitzpatrick is a mediocre talent, but may lead the team to a number of wins.

Fitz a more attractive option??? Hahaa! We'll see what you are saying after this weekeds game. Did any of you watch him while he started in Cincy last year? The guy is BAD.

  12. LOL! you people and the QB comments are ridiculous. NO QB will do well behind the pathetic offensive line in Buffalo. 4 of the 5 starters on the O-line that have LESS than 10 career starts. Hangman is the only guy with any experience and you keep blaming the QB for everything. The line has potencial but they have ZERO experience. They don't pass protect OR run block for squat. Carolina has one of the worst run defenses in the NFL and the Bills averaged 1.8 yards per carry. If I follow your logic, the bad run game this past week should be directly blamed on the QB. LOL!

It also doesn't help when your STAR receiver doesn't know how to CATCH.

  13. I have that feeling we're still not getting any progress at the QB position.

  14. TO drops way too many passes, it's inarguable. To me, it's also inarguable that he gets open all day long and if we had a QB who could throw an accurate long ball, TO would have six TDs in six games, even with the drops.

Plus, even with the two drops yesterday he makes two catches that hardly anyone else in the league makes. 90% couldnt even have touched the first one. The second one, even though it was very short, was an extremely difficult catch.

TO is a waste of 6.5 million. Ralph should have used that money toward an EXPERIENCED COACH/GM's salary.

  15. They may win 2 more games the rest of the season. The team is horrid. Run defense is BAD and the offense is worse.. They averaged 1.8 yards a carry against one of the worst run defenses in the NFL. The inexperienced O-line isn't getting anything done... Van Pelt isn't the answer at offensive coordinator.

You are outgained 425 yards to 167 yards and win because your secondary has 3 takeaways... Thats not gonna happen every game.

  16. Yes, the Bills offense under Fitzpatrick put up a blistering 3.4 points per quarter pace yesterday. That is obviously irrefutable proof that the atrocious play we've seen from the OLine for the past month really didn't happen; it was simply a gigantic group hallucination. With Trent only putting up 3 points/quarter, it's obvious that the massive increase of .4 points/quarter is directly attributable to improved QB play.

Since it was obviously a problem with the QB, I'm thrilled to report that the Bills offensive troubles are now over, and opponents will now have no hope of overcoming the staggering 13pts/game pace that our new and greatly improved QB will be overwhelming the world with from here on in!

    Thanks for the chuckle!

An increase of 0.4 points/quarter is a drastic increase? LOL dude! Pass around whatever you are smokin.

  17. Saw this on Fanball.com:

Robert Royal : Royal leads league in drops

    10/18/2009 08:26 AM

    THE NEWS

Robert Royal is tied for the NFL lead in drops with five, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

    OUR VIEW

He has just eight catches, so that is a staggering number. He is one of the least valuable, if not the least valuable, starting fantasy tight end in the NFL.

Now thats a shock. TO was at number 5. He may have moved up after the drops he had this week. A guy who screams constantly for the ball should be able to catch. What a waste of 6.5 million. At least he is only here for a year.

  18. most of the defending Trent posts since yesterday were:

Trent is more accurate than Fitz and therefore is better. what?!?!?! :w00t:

he has been terribly inaccurate since mid last year.

take off the blinders ball washers- he is a timid , inaccurate noodle armed QB with his 2nd concussion

Fitz is not the long term solution but i prefer him in there instead of Trent

at least the game is interesting in a postive way with Fitz in there.

i can not remember Trent ever throwing that slant TD in the face of the blitz EVER

we are still not a good team but at least we have more of a chance to win with FITZ!

i hope he gets a shot with the convenient excuse of T.E. is out with post concusion syndrome

Not one QB in the NFL would succeed with Buffalo's coaching and horrid O-Line. WHat are you guys going to do once Fitz struggles badly? All the posts here will change to Hamdan is better than Fitz.........This crap is really old. Look at the big picutre before putting the blame on one guy. Coaching sucks, offensive game plans suck, and so does this inexperienced offensive line. Quit ur bitchin and look at the whole picture for once. Sheesh!

  19. He threw a couple, including one for an ill-advised pick.

He showed very little today; certainly not enough to be named starter over a healthy Edwards. The question is, when are we going to see a healthy Edwards.

Personally, I'd rather see Hamdan at this point.

LOL! Hamdan? I'd rather see them re-sign Loserman than watch Hamdan play.

  20. Trade Parish, Owens and Lynch and sign Garcia. Get rid of Edwards, find someone in the draft next year.

I think we needed a crappy win like this, hopefully we will start getting out @#$% together now. Defense played great except for two plays.

LOL! Garcia over Edwards? Give me a break man. Garcia is washed up, almost 40 and sucks playing in cold weather. DO you remember how hideous he was when he played for Cleveland behind a poor line? NOT what this team needs. THey need better coaching and solid O-Line, not an old washed up QB.

Pass defense played great, run D sucked. They gave up 318 yards rushing.

  21. Don't know why but I have a good feeling about this game. They may beat the Jets if these things happen.

    1. Marshawn goes crazy and get 120 yds rushing.

    2. They huddle up for most of the game and take the pressure off Trent.

    3. T.O scores and has at least 5 catches.

    4. Bills get a Defensive touchdown.

    5. Poz has breakout game after being pissed about breaking his arm again.

    6. Roscoe makes up for last weeks fumble with a punt return score.

    7. Bills will play hard and try to get an AFC east win.

I know what your thinking but I'm a diehard fan. I still have hope that at least for one game they will surprise us.

Bills fans will be the ones UPSET becasue the bills are gonna get whacked..........again.

  22. Last night's performance should put the lights out on even the staunchest JP apologist. I missed the first half, but the second half showed all of the JP career highlights: totally immobile (worst "scrambler" ever), can't step up into the pocket, holds the ball too long, no touch--overthrowing open receivers, and a handful of turnovers.

    Nothing will ever change fellas.

That league will fold after this season. Stands are empty. It was sad to watch. At least the XFL knew it was sort of a joke.

He was also sacked SIX times. The guy is a loser. He has the perfect name.
