Vontae wasn't trying to draw attention to himself with it, the most he did was use the notoriety from it to do an ad later.

Very true.  Quote from ESPN article ...

"Most people, when I did what I did, they thought I was literally going insane or something," he says. "But I was actually fine. I was totally fine.

    "And I'm totally fine today."

The loss to the Titans... (I think it was around 3 yards they needed for the TD when Josh slipped on the 4th and 1)

If the bills win that game, they are 11-5 and Titans would be 10-6.

Bills would have had the same record as the chiefs at 11-5 but would have the tie breaker on them.

Excellent observation!  This really highlights that EVERY play counts.  When the Bills prepare to repeat as World Champions next season ( 😉 ), this will provide excellent motivational material for McDermott throughout the season that any given play can make or break a game and much, much more in the big picture - got to bring 'A' game play-in and play-out.

Leslie Frazier - this is a Bills board so let's start with the Bills' interest. Leslie Frazier is about to have a third top 5 defense in 5 years in Buffalo and while 62 year old, defensive retreads with low key personalities are not sexy hires there are some franchises in my list above who would benefit from just having a mature adult in the room for a few years - Jags, Raiders and Seahawks for example. He is hugely respected across the league and interviewed last year in a similarly volatile situation in Houston.

    Haha - good take!

One has to wonder if Allen's foot affected his initial throws, and it took getting warmed up and perhaps getting his adrenaline going to settle in and be able to throw properly.

But we can't afford a 1Q like that against the Pats.

Maybe our defense needs to rough Allen up during pre-game so he plays well in 1st quarter!   🤣

I agree, I think White is a good CB but not top 10 good. Jackson will step in and do a good job. Our amazing FS, SS and nickel will help cover the lose of White. I will let the numbers do the talking for me.

And you are taking into consideration, I hope, that teams don't throw Tre's way very often as you view the numbers?

  7. I'd like to see the weather played up.  Example, MNF will probably show some typical shots of Niagara Falls, downtown, etc.

That's all well-and good, but how about sending a film crew out to Holiday Valley, instead ...
show downhill skiers, chair lifts, hot chocolate around a fire, etc ... make the Buffalo region out to be a winter wonderland instead of the frozen tundra.
    Marketing, dammit !!

But he is a turnover machine.  Haven’t you been paying attention?  He fumbles or muffs a punt/kick on a fairly regular basis.  He has terrible hands.  It would absolutely not be an overreaction to send him packing.  He’s flashed impressive stuff from time to time but he’s too much of a liability.  A big reason no other team signed him last offseason?  They brought him back cheap.

According to https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/player-stat/fumbles-lost, Mckenzie has had only one lost fumble this season.  I agree, he's mishandled some punts, but cannot call him a "turnover machine" based on one lost fumble all season long.  He also brings versatility to the offense, too.  Anyhow, I do think the Bills will be just fine without him, too.  I suppose a message needs to be sent - just saying I don't think the guy is a bum, either.

When he fumbled that last kick return after falling down when nobody touched him, I said to myself that was likely his last game as a Bill.  McD don't play around with fumbles and McKenzie can't seem to stop.

If true, this is an over-reaction by McD.  McKenzie has made some big plays - not a ton, but a solid contributor.  He stumbled trying to set himself up for a better lane on the kick return and was unfortunate in losing the ball on when tripping himself up and hitting the ground.  It's not like he's a turnover machine.  It was an unfortunate and untimely fumble, but to bench the guy over it seems over-the-top.  That's just my opinion - I suppose McD knows what he's doing.

  10. I'd like to see our featured running back have a little more size and a little more speed than Singletary.  While Singletary has had some very nice long runs in his short career, he generally gets easily chased-down when he reaches open field - he doesn't have a "second gear".  Also would like to see more size to handle blitzes and maybe break a few more tackles.  That said, I don't dislike him - he's serviceable, but just think Bills can do better at RB.
