  1. I would root for my wallet and my productivity level. Translated: I would not root for anyone. Bills or bust!
  2. or 3 or 4 or 5
  3. No, we only thought we had Trent v1.0, but it was actually a beta release.
  4. I love it. Oh, I can think of some individual performances in recent years that would warrant being cut on the spot before the game even ended.
  5. Well, 14 straight losses to the Patriots is quickly approaching the 20 straight losses to the Dolphins. It's kind of close, but you are right -- those were dismal times.
  6. In a way, I'm kind of glad to hear the Bills keep their assistants on a short leash in regards to their interactions with the media as you never know what they may say, but it does seem they could ease up a tad -- especially with the coordinators. Yeah, that's about the last thing I recall seeing from him.
  7. Lori -- GREAT information -- thanks. Now it is even more interesting that he has been completely mum since February.
  8. Gailey wanted to move him outside earlier, but injuries on the inside postponed that.
  9. I think I get your point -- that you don't hear a heck of a lot from Modkins, either. However, I can say that I have at least seen him quoted here & there and I do believe I did see at least one interview with him either during OTAs or training camp, but just nothing at all from Edwards. Also, Gailey is effectively the OC, as well, with the plan of Modkins gradually assuming more control over time, but Gailey made it clear from the get-go that he was in charge of the offense. So, with that in mind, I wouldn't expect to hear a whole lot from Modkins. However, on the defensive side of things, I would have expected that George Edwards would have a little more face time with interviews and such. Again, I know it's not important, but I would kind of like to see at least one interview with Edwards -- sort of a "state of the union" on the defense.
  10. I'm just curious because I do not believe I have seen a single interview with George Edwards since he was originally hired. It's no big deal, of course. It's not like coordinators give press conferences every week or anything like that -- I understand that. However, I've just not seen a peep from him since his hiring and I do routinely go to BuffaloBills.com and read and watch about everything. Maybe he's just a guy that doesn't like to talk to the press. That's fine. I have no problem with that. I'm just wondering if anyone else kind of noticed that he's quiet on the media front?
  11. The official depth chart lists Carrington ahead of McCargo. I would really like to see Carrington get some needed game experience now.
  12. "I've said this before. I'll say it again. Fitz has been really great about helping me out" -- Levi Brown The above quote from about the 2:30 mark of Brown's last post-game press conference in the pre-season: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Levi-Brown-Postgame-Press-Conference/78db8052-c42f-4999-a02d-f7d5951b0781 It's interesting that Brown goes out of his way to commend Fitz for helping him out and says nothing of Trent Edwards. That's kind of telling by itself. Fitz is truly a Team guy in my opinion. Even when he was a backup, he took his role seriously I think -- truly wanting to support Edwards in any way he could as the backup, as well as the other quarterbacks.
  13. I agree that each potential starting QB should have started at least one pre-season game with the ones.
  14. I know. I posted a few minutes too soon. It appeared on Jax's site shortly after I posted. Sorry 'bout that. Good scoop!
  15. I posted same in the "DONG DONG ... " thread, but it was before I saw this or else I wouldn't have. Bowen has been around now - 4 different teams.
  16. Guess who the Jags released to make room for Edwards? Alvin Bowen!
  17. I think OP also missing the fact that Edwards has not signed with Jax. I believe the author of the article was merely suggesting it as an idea. I don't see anything on Jaguars' site about it.
  18. Sheesh, talk about being man-handled. Thanks for posting this. We need to get more stout in the center of the line and have more strength at the ends. I hope they start to work Carrington into the lineup soon. They may as well start giving him some playing time. No, not if you're the Pats*
  19. Correcting myself here -- I realize now that the tea bag incident wasn't really caught very well in the standard NFL highlight reel, but was rather picked up in this other video posted on BuffaloBills.com entitled "Bills Roundup: Big Second Half Propels Pack" -- the incident is at the 1:50 mark of the 2:23 length video.
  20. What's kind of interesting now is that I don't see that little display when I watch the highlights now. Was it edited out by the NFL? I know I saw it earlier in the week.
  21. "CHIX failed us already" -- I thought it was because the Jills were not showing enough cleavage.
  22. Yeah, just like in hockey if someone messes with your goalie -- you go after them no matter what.
  23. Agree -- that was total BS. I'll tell you what I think should have happened -- Wood and maybe one or two other linemen should have picked up Matthews and body-slammed him. You've GOT to stand up for your QB. The ensuing 15-yd penalty is irrelevant in this situation -- some things just have to be done.
  24. But will you do the same if the Bills win?
  25. Yeah, that was some good stuff about the weathervane and the wind -- oh so very true. Sully is the type of guy where if you tell him it is day at noon, he'll say it is night and vice-versa -- truly being disagreeable for the sole sake of being disagreeable. It really reaches pathetic lows at times.
