Personally I wouldn't have thought it was enough to overturn the call on the field. the ball does contact the ground but I don't see it move at all on any replay, despite the claim of "no firm control" which would see to be mutually exclusive but there you go. Whatever the Shield wants.

There's so much dumb going on in this game. Just bad football by the players, the coaches, the announcers, everybody.
If the Bills were asking him to play 2-gap where the Chargers are playing him 1-gap maybe? He doesn't hold up well at the point of attack, but sure can shoot the gaps.
Ford looked like a grocery clerk for the Bills, nothing like this. Can't tell you whether it's the player or the usage, but he wasn't doing anything approaching this last year with ample chances.
That, and iirc among the "big QB counting stats" like passing yards and TD's this has been Lamar's best year by far - and the first where he's actually exceeded Allen's AVERAGE for the last 5.
That's the point, Smith was denigrating Allen's "sprint for the last 4 weeks" while Lamar "has done it all year long," not understanding the reality of it is 180 degrees of the point he's trying to make.
