  1. I'm going as far as I can after being defeated best of 3 falls by an exhaust manifold today. So, probably the 1st half for now. Ok, let's fire up the DVR. Series 1 Defense : 50-92-91-55?? ---------------- 1st & 10) Handoff left. The entire Bills front moves the LOS back 3 yard, Oliver stops for no gain. 2nd & 10) Quick hitch to TE inc. No instant wins on the line, but Daquan was getting through. 3rd & 10) Chuck n hope to the left. Basham bull rush was getting some purchase. Rousseau doubled. Series 1 Offense : 73-76-60-64-79 ---------------- 1st & 10) Quick slant Davis is... dropped. Nothing much to report there. 2nd & 10) Little hitch right to Harty. Brown was singled on the edge #94 and held up. 3rd & 2) Pocket was folding but Diggs short cross for the 1st down. 1st & 10) 1st run to Cook. Weird blocking scheme, both Dawkins and Edwards run past #93 who makes the play behind the LOS. 2nd & 9) Play action dump off to Harty who twists Edmunds up. Whole line blocks down one way, play goes other. 100% misdirection. 3rd & 4) Quick slant to Diggs, unstoppable. Lines look good when you hold your block 1 second. 1st & 10) Handoff Cook over RG. Torrence and Brown open a hole for 6. 2nd & 4) Cook again to the same hole, same result. Torrence fires to the second level, Morse seals the nose and Brown turns the end. 1st & 10) More Cook over LG with lesser results. Dawkins & Edwards combo their guy and move him out but the LB's fill. 2nd & 8) Quick out left to Dropthis. No major breakdowns there. 3rd & 8) This is that "vintage Allen" scramble right. Morse did get trucked by the guy Torrence started out blocking and passed off. 1st & goal) Allen scrambled right for a loss. Pocket held up, just all the receivers were tackled. Morse & Brown stymie their guys 1 on 1. Penalty Chicago. 1st & goal) TOUCHDOWN Handoff Harris behind Morse & Torrence. Right side bullied the Bears. Series 2 Defense : 50-91-97-56 ---------------- 1st & 10) Handoff RG. Phillips get pushed back by center but both Rousseau and Oliver defeat blocks to make the stop. 2nd & 11) Checkdown to RB inc. Looked like a sugar rush. Rousseau getting close again. 3rd & 11) Rousseau forces Fields to scramble. Floyd & Oliver stunt didn't work at all. Series 2 Offense : 73-76-71-64-79 ---------------- 1st & 10) Audible play action to Sherfield. Torrence was getting moved but recovered. 1st & 10) Cook cuts back from RG up the middle good gain. Bates with a good seal block at the hole. 2nd & 5) Swing pass Cook, Knox & Sherfield with good hol... blocks. 1st & 10) Line gives Allen all day for a deep chuck to Sherfield who was held. 1st & 10) Chicago brings some blitzers rushing 6. Line holds up, Cook picks up the free runner, but it's overthrown. 2nd & 10) Screen left, Dawkins beat bad although might be by design. Edwards gets a block in the back though. 2nd & 14) Middle pass batted down. Torrence passes a guy to Bates, who bats the pass. 3rd & 14) Kyle Intercepted. Brown was getting beat on a power-inside move. Series 3 Defense : 50-92-91-57 ---------------- 1st & 10) Epenesa almost gets home on a speed rush, Fields has a middle lane and scrambles. 1st & 10) Play action to Moore, blitzers all picked up and Hamlin/Dodson miss a tackle. 1st & 10) Handoff right, Rousseau climbs inside and play bounces outside where nobody's home. 56-91-92-90 2nd & 1) Lawson gets penetration, makes tackle, celebrates. But it's a 1st down. 56-97-91-90 1st & 10) Fields end zone shot. Floyd was getting good push on an inside bull rush, may have affected that throw. 2nd & 10) RPO maybe? Fields had the corner as Kmet sealed Lawson inside but Benford makes the stop. 3rd & 10) Ed Oliver swats the G arms and goes Road Warrior Hawk on Fields as he lets the screen go. Dodson misses the stop, 1st down. 55-99-92-90 1st & goal) Basham gets a free run at Bagent, complete but OPI. 50-99-92-56 1st & goal) Quick out inc. 2nd & goal) Quick cross minimal gain. Everyone was getting there but Rousseau arrives .1 second after the pass. 3rd & goal) Everyone getting through again, QB scrambles thrown inc. Oliver winning again and unalled hold. 4th & goal) FG Series 3 Offense : 77-65-71-64-79 ---------------- 1st & 10) Harris sweep right for not much. Sherfield can really block, he took on a DE there. 2nd & 10) Quick out Sherfield. Quessenberry was getting moved but quick route and Boettger helped. 3rd & 4) Torrence was getting beat on a second counter move, but throw gets out and Kincaid wins an Oscar. 1st & 10) Harris behind Quessenberry, Boettger & Morris for a good gain. 2nd & 4) Harris to the same hole but gets tripped by a safety Morris missed from the far side of the formation. 3rd & 2) Boettger beat inside by a bull rush, Allen runs back into the guy beating Brown with a speed rush, and OPI anyway so, punting. Series 4 Defense : 55-97-99-57 ---------------- 1st & 10) The entire Bills DL except Phillips arrives at the handoff, lol. 2nd & 12) Settle bull rush moves QB off his spot, dump to TE. 3rd & 10) Settle rolling through the middle lol, Epenesa curls back for the sack. Series 4 Offense : 77-65-62-63-70 ---------------- 1st & 10) Harris up the middle, behind Quess & Boettger. 2nd & 5) Allen to Shorter for the cody catch. Boettger from LG picks up the right side end? 1st & 10) Harris goes up the middle behind Mancz, big push from Bills interior OL. 2nd & 4) Harris on the audible cuts behind Mancz & Jarvis but Quess holding negates it. 2nd & 14) TOUCHDOWN Morris, Boettger almost got pushed into Allen, that ball came out at the perfect time. Series 5 Defense : 55-99-98-57 ---------------- 1st & 10) After huge return due to uncalled hold. Flare left, short gain. Epenesa gets upfield a lot, but not always toward the QB. 2nd & 8) Epenesa gets stymied by friggin TONYAN, run goes over Poona for a good gain. 3rd & 4) Settle bats it down but all the line was getting good push. 4th & 4) Klein blitzes... right past the middle screen. Poona & Settle get stymied. 1st & 10) Draw, Settle & Poona recognize it but can't disengage and get driven downfield. 2nd & 7) Repeat: Basham Settle & Poona pour through the line, dump off is inc. 55-94-61-57 3rd & 7) Scramble for a 1st goes past Broughton. Basham easily taken wide on speed rush. 96-94-61-59 1st & goal) Middle dive for short yardage, Cline & Broughton involved. 96-99-98-57 2nd & goal) TOUCHDOWN on the scramble, Settle again penetrates but just goes by the QB. Poona has a really good view of it. Series 5 Offense : 77-65-62-63-70 ---------------- 1st & 10) 2 minutes offense. Quick out right Harty. 2nd & 5) Allen misfires, not much to see there. 3rd & 5) Quessenberry and Anderson on tackle both beat with speed rush, Anderson's guy turns the corner for the strip sack. Series 6 Defense : 96-99-98-57 ---------------- 1st & 10) Blown coverage (Cam Lewis?) on TE but dropped in End Zone. Cline tried the speed move but did not turn the corner. 2nd & 10) INTERCEPTION. Cline moves inside for the corner blitz from left, which becomes the hot read side, but Ingram rotates over for the pick. Series 6 Defense : 77-65-62-63-74 ---------------- 1st & 10) Guess they have the film they need on #70 at RT. Harris left, Van Demark comes over on the wham block. 2nd & 7) Quick out, Quess tries to cut block the end, not quite. Boettger getting walked again. 3rd & 3) Slant to Shorter inc. Van Demark either fell on his face or tried to cut the end to open the passing lane. 4th & 3) Slant to Johnson complete. Interior line picks up blitzer. 1st & 10) Bears send 4, Quess' guy almost gets home again. He's bad. 2nd & 6) Good pocket, hits Wilson in flat. 3rd & 1) Quess getting walked again but Wilson in left flat gets the 1st. 1st & 10) Deep shot is inc. Tackle stunt over C was about to get home. 2nd & 10) FIELD GOAL. Thoughts: - Oliver seems even angrier since signing the contract. Good. - Rousseau looks like a FORCE in all 3 preseason games. - Boettger would be a nice story to come all the way back to make the team, but there's no way he's ahead of anyone else playing G-only. - Quessenberry is washed. Power works against him, speed works against him. - Anderson is not the answer at RT lol. I don't know if the RT is on the roster, until I watch the second half.
  2. Re: Shorter. There can't be a place on the 53 for a Wide Receiver who can't receive, can there? He's friggin Perry Tuttle on HGH.
  3. I've become the Anderson fanboi here but he wasn't good at RT. Once he moved back inside he looked as he has all preseason, mauling people.
  4. Will likely be laying under a truck for most of the day but will try my best to get to it. I was scared by how much run Quess & Boettger got on the left side
  5. Having a McKelvin flashback there, anyone else?
  6. Looked like an enormous hold on the edge there where the 2pt conversion went? Maybe dragged down by the facemask?
  7. Steenbergen combines parts Gesicki and Robert Royal. Unfortunately it's the blocking of the former and hands of the latter.
  8. Frickin Featherstone again.
  9. If Shorter can't catch with his hands... there's too many other receivers who can. I don't know how you hold a roster spot for a guy you don't know will ever be able to perform job requirement #1. Anderson got moved from T to G/C for a reason. He got beat for the turnover. Van Demark replaced him next series.
  10. So that guy was a free Bagent right?
  11. WTF was a QB thinking, 3 guys batted it down, but 3 more were waiting to intercept it
  12. They call the hold on Quessenberry and not the most obvious hold in the game on that return. WTG NFL
  13. Extremely interesting that Alec Anderson who has played nothing but G and C this year is getting first crack at the most available spot on the roster - backup RT.
  14. Nice series for Dodson, hes been good after whiffing that 3rd and long conversion earlier
  15. Now I'm gonna have to turn my back on you
  16. Oh God, why is Boettger in there already? He's gonna get someone else killed. Edit it's worse than I thought, he's next to Quess. Get ready for IR Kyle
  17. I'm kinda glad Fields ducked because Oliver was looking to get his 15 yards' worth there.
  18. Bears 29 is pretty much holding every down but that going uncalled combined with Davis' famous lack of attacking the ball leads to the int.
  19. Hey, deep overs are back! Nice to Sherfield.
  20. Oh by the way, which one's Leonard? He's been hustling but Basham's been better.
  21. I think Harty must have his cleats in sideways
  22. Only noticed him overrunning Harty on a cut.
  23. First drive thoughts: Torrence and Brown on the right side MOVE people in the running game. Josh looks like Josh, yay! Gabe looks like Gabe, aww.
