  1. to just get his attention or to ask him a question.........if it's in the subject line of a new thread......do you...... A.) actually type out his username or B.) just type in the word s-h-i-t and let it take its course? I've always been curious for some stupid reason.
  2. Hell yeah, not only that, but then Evans becomes the 3rd guy.......and if he's that high of a first round pick, he should be 3rd guy material, and Shaw still the fourth guy. I would think McCardell would be a nice stop-gap player that would let Evans develop under. McCardell would even open up more space for Evans when he were to come in the game. As opposed to coming in there with Josh Reed. Moulds, McCardell, and Evans. Not that is formiddable. THEN, we could blame Drew for not getting anything done. Gimme a TE with that group, and I think we'd be potent. ANY TE.
  3. See, I don't agree. We need an upgrade most at TE, and then WR and then QB. We have a 2nd WR that SUCKS. Our TE's suck period. Our QB has limitations. Evans would be awesome as our third guy behind two good WR's in Moulds and another proven vet. Hell, add another vet (and I know we can't do it now), and a competent TE, and I have a feeling we'd be scoring much more than we are now. We need some weapons. A Superstar would be the best bet. If not, than we need 4 or 5 GOOD weapons in multiple postions. I would bet that Brian Billick or Bill Parcells would make Bledsoe useable. Maybe not, but I would bet on it.
  4. Yeah, get over it. It's kinda like everyone else in here calling out everyone else and offering about as much insight as John Kerry on how he intends to fix Iraq. Which is none. For most of the "experts" in here who have said that our offense has sucked through Collins, Flutie, RJ and now Bledsoe, it seems to me the few constants through most of those era's were Moulds, Henry a little bit, no line help, No pass catching TE, and no 2nd WR. And we did have a 2nd WR blossom in Price, our offense seemed a little bit better didn't it?
  5. Ummmmmmm, let me think here. I'll do you one better. I would guess.......just guess, THAT ALL OF STARTING UNIT, including lineman, would get picked up. One exception, maybe our TE's wouldn't. Who wouldn't want Eric Moulds? Who wouldn't want Travis Henry? Who wouldn't want any of these guys really? ALOT would be backups. DEPENDING on what team they went to, Moulds could easily be another good WR in a potent offense. Similar to Rice and Brown, or McCardell and Smith when they were in Jax. Hell, Henry would be awesome on a team he didn't have to carry. HOWEVER, for our team to be good, they have to be the stars and they aren't. They haven't been, in any part of their careers. Moulds had one very high catch season, when Price blossomed and a ton of other WR's around the league were also catching large numbers of passes. Hell, Drew Bledsoe would fit nicely in Dallas, or any other team that wanted to bypass playing a rookie now and sacrifice a season. Our lineman would also fit on almost all other teams. Most as backups, some as starters on bad to mediocre teams, and some would look like studs (Jennings) if he went to a team that already had studs surrounding him. Of course they'd get picked up, because some are GOOD, not Superstar NFL players. Add one Superstar to our bunch, and I think we'd see a bigger difference!
  6. We also did that with Jim Kelly, Andre Reed, a good Oline, and Bruce Smith. 1,000 yards isn't anything. But on a team void of much offensive talent, we would need a 1,500 yard RB who can dominate on his own. Only a handful of RB's can do that. While WE HOPE Willis can do what Holmes does, or Faulk does, it is about as likely right now as VA having a snowstorm tomorrow. Holmes was a bacjup for years, and Faulk was about to be considered a bust. LT would be a stud, but I hardly think WM resembles him in the slightest. As far as Evans is concerned. I would tend to think he'd be better than Reed, and that would also push Reed back into the slot more, but do you honestly think this coaching staff would sit Evans if he couldn't do that? I don't. I've never met a coach yet, who doesn't play big time talent. Honestly, from what I read about Evans, I thought he would easily start. But with an offense struggling, and a town who thinks this teams should be better, don't you think he'd be in there if he was better? For now, until this coaching staff blunders down the Gregg Williams path, I think they'd be playing him.
  7. What do I hate about this regime? I hate the fact that Tom Donahoe came in here on his whtie horse thinking everything that Pittsburgh did was golden, which couldn't be further from the truth. The sad sack Steelers bunch played in the worst division in football for years. And thus, by being the only semi-competent run organization, they won alot by default. Lets hit everything here.......I'm pissed that TD came in here and changed the way we got season tickets. We went from getting a collectors box with goodies, to getting our tickets in stevestojantty FED Ex packages. I still resent the fact that he came in here and changed our uniforms in conjunction to change the whole image of the franchise. Note to Tom, while Butler did run our cap into the ground, we were coming off of a golden era of a franchise. And we were still a pretty darn competitive team. Why didn't you change the Black and Gold of Pittsburgh? They sucked much more than us. I still resent that. Small things and tolerable when we had trust. I'm losing trust though. Still wanna get rid of the Shout song Tom? Yeah, why not, take that away from us too. Idiot. The most important thing is that now he's starting to whiff on his drafts and what he thinks our needs are. I'm slowwwwwwwwwwwwly losing confidence. His Free Agents seem to be good, and I like them when he does them, however, they don't seem to be working. And while I can't say I disagreed with TD when he signed many of these players, I also can't say I'm confident in what he is doing anymore, because not much is working out. We had a good D when Wade was here, so because we have one now, I'm not all that impressed. We had good players when TD got here, he got rid of them, and his aren't working out. That is really starting to bum me out. Gregg Williams was bad. And you TD calling out the fans was worse. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  8. And again, sorry BF, I keep reading more of your post. As far as RB's go. I think TT only had what, 800 yards his rookie year? Eddie George is about as over-rated as Eric Lindros is in hockey. Those other guys.....I'm not sure how they did their rookie year. But if you are looking for WM to start and gain 800 yards like Thurman, what the hell is that gonna do for us? Nothing.
  9. And one other thing......it's only game #2. If our coaching staff thinks the team out there is going to contend, a rookie isn't going to get annointed first team status until the season looks shot for sure. Evans may get a shot later rather than sooner.
  10. Exactly, RB's are a dime a dozen. IMO, it's the easiest position in the NFL to fill. However, Magahee looks slow. He scored some TD's in pre-season. Big deal. Hell, they gave him the ball at the goal line, and he scored. Ive never met a coach yet who hasn't put a superstar in the game as soon as he was ready. And that's in HS, college or pros. So, I tend to think our coaches are competent enough here to make that call at the moment. Hell, other teams players even said it. Hell, WM looked good in the last drive agaisn't the Jags. But my ligic tends to say we were going to get a drive going at some point sooner or later. We have no idea how good Evans is. Period. He hasn't made an impact. Period. That's what we do know. Again, I've never met a coach, under pressure, who didn't play an absolute sure thing. I'm sure he's not ready.
  11. Oops, sorry then. I'm imploding at work today. Christ, I dirve up there to most of the games to see us not score. I'm hurting man!
  12. Hey, great post. I agree with you. So, I'll go on the premise that Belicheck is worth alot more than our coaching staff. The Pats are unreal in terms of playing as a team. However, you could also recognize that now they have Corey Dillon who is averaging over 5.5 yards per pop, and maybe Brady is a Superstar. However, I agree with your Pats analysis. And yes Moulds does take some plays off. And he's NOT one of the best in the league. The best in the league are Moss, Harrison, Owens, etc......Moulds is a very good player in the NFL. The thing I hate about Moulds is that when a ball isn't perfectly thrown alot of times, he won't fight the DB for it. He kinda just seems to give up on it. That doens't mean he hasn't made great catches, every WR in the NFL has, but he doesn't fight like the BEST in the league fight. The best in the league are a handful of guys, not 20 guys in their positions. Moulds isn't in the handful of guys. And on Losman. I enjoyed watching him. But, you have to be realistic, he's a rookie. He needs some time. If we continue to struggle this year, when he comes back, I have no quarrels about letting him play the last 4 or 5 games. I agree with about everything you said, but all of the one player bashing on a team that is void of some talent is old.
  13. Understandable, but what do you think honestly. Damn, use your head. It took Eric Moulds, what, 3 years to become a solid player. So, how much of an impact do you think Lee Evans is realistically going to have? I mean, be honest. Peerless wasn't all that great in his rookie year either, was he? So, let's take an educated guess and say Lee Evans isn't gonna be as good as the aberattion of Anquan Boldin was for the Cards last year. It rarely happens. As for Magahee, insert his name in above, and change all WR's to RB's!
  14. Oh well, get over it, no one has any problems abshing our Bills or Bills Beat Writers or the guy at Stadium Sportswear. And I could care less if any of you agree with me or not. But christ, it's not all one guys fault.
  15. and most of you sound like John Kerry or ICE with all of your flip-flopping. Let's see here, we had Todd Collins, and he truly sucked. We actually tried to hide him on offense. Then we had ole RJ and Flutie. RJ is self-explanatory, and Flutie was a good QB who I feel masked what the real problems of our team has. And the reason they drafted Brees and Rivers, is because he's 41 for christ's sakes. But enough about Flutie, if you didn't enjoy watching the guy play, you're an idiot. You don't have to like him, but it was exciting to see him play. Then Drew came. Drew looked like the 2nd coming of Dan Marino in his first 7 games. So, tell me, how did he just NOT become a good QB in one weeks time? Something was wrong. He didn't just fall off the face of the Earth in the five days of practice between games 8 and where we are today. It's the supporting cast. Travis Henry is not a superstar running back like most of you think. He's a dependable, solid runner. He's in the 14-20 range in the NFL. Doesn't say his heart isn't huge. But he's not a stud RB. A guy who averages 4.4 even behind a bad line, like say a Corey Dillon did in Cincy all those years. IMO, and this won't be popular, but Eric Moulds is one of the most over-rated players in the NFL. He routinely takes plays off. Don't believe me, go to a game and watch him. He rarely goes up and fights for the ball. He says he wants the ball thrown at him like that, but he doesn't have the fight and gall that T-Owens, or Moss does. His routes are no where near Marvin Harrison or say Jerry Rice. Moulds is just like Henry, he's good but not a superstar. Our other wideouts suck. Period. They'd be good 4th guys in a spread formation. Plain and simple. And we don't know what Evans will become, so quit over-hyping guys by telling me how much tape you watched of him at Wisconsin. You tape watchers need to get a life. When NFL teams, college teams, or even HS teams tape games or practice, they aren't watching game produced TV tapes and their TV angles. And honestly, you have no idea what was called in the huddle, so how sure are you on what their responsibility might have been on that play itself. Sure, you can see if Mike Williams whiffed or not, but so can anyone else during the replays in the game. The line. Well, the line is the line. It kinda stinks. No one debates this. And, IMO, we have the WORST TE's in the league. Absolutely WORST. They have no speed, no agility, and aren't all that sure handed. They add pretty much ZERO to our offense. No threat whatsoever. And if you think about it, Drew's biggest target for year's was Ben Coates. We don't have anyone who even comes close to resembling Coates or anything similar to a playmake at TE. Drew has drawbacks no doubt. But this offense is in dire need of a SUPERSTAR, which we don't have. We need one playmaker, IMO, and we just don't have one right now. Now, imagine how good EM or TH would really be if we had just one superstar on this team. If you morons think Matthews or Losman would turn this team around, you are mistaken.
  16. I didn't, but I'm in Virginia. Aren't we supposed to be getting a pin or something also?
  17. we're also now behind in two tie-breakers with other AFC teams. 0-2 to start. 0-2 in the AFC. And the schedule gets even harder. Ugh!
  18. Ummmmm, hell no. First of all, I love hockey. However, it doesn't compare to the NFL. That being said, I'd take a Canadian team of Lemieux, Gretzky and Messier in their primes anyday over anything out there now!
  19. Michael Vick is theeeeeeeeeeeee biggest over-rated piece of stevestojan this side of Eric Lindros. Never before have I seen anyone try to hype up a guy so much in my friggin life. I love it!
  20. Marriott, Niagara Falls Canada. $109 Canadian. Not a bad deal at all.
