Safety and Sustainability: Funding supports runway safety upgrades and eco-friendly aviation projects to reduce environmental impact. And 2023: Verizon $2 Billion Contract 2025 Budget Proposal: The Biden administration proposed an additional $360 million for the FAA to recruit air traffic controllers and modernize outdated systems. Also, Trump has signed 147 executive orders - not one has been directed to actually improve operational effectiveness at the FAA, but he did sign EO's on reinstating plastic straws, designating English as the official language, and renamed Gulf of Mexico.
