This was a helluva win. I really didn't expect the Bills to win prior to the game, but as soon as it got started you could tell we had a chance. The Lions are a very legit team, though Goff did not play perfectly (unlike Stafford last week). I hope we can get our defense playing consistently at all three levels in the near future. With JA now in his ultra prime years, I think the offense can score enough. Keep the turnover differential in positive territory and anything is possible.

I'm a big Milano fan. I'm ok with him trying to get back into the flow of the games. He is a gamer for sure. But right now we are better off with Williams IMO.

55+ was the over earlier this week. With Rapp, Douglas, and Hamlin out, I feel like they might still be a good bet.

The Lions are a tough, well coached team. They are going to get stops on Buffalo but I think the Bills offense will score enough if they don't turn the ball over. The question is can the defense slow down the Lions running game and then disrupt Goff passing. The Lions are very sound at the line of scrimmage and probably have the best OL in the NFL. I'm hopeful but not overly optimistic.

It's funny how this thread and a couple others sum up my issues with the Bills. I just don't think you can beat 3-4 good teams in the playoffs with this defensive philosophy, especially with these players. Each one is good to decent, but they lack the size and "difference makers" to shut down good teams when it matters. There is no way McDermott is losing his job. My plan is just to draft almost all defensive players. Bigger interior dudes are preferred. Maybe a couple will hit. We are lucky to have these problems as a franchise, but McDermott's defensive philosophy and poor strategic decision-making doom us to earlier then desired playoff exits. The offense is good enough to win it all. The defense is not. The head coach makes poor strategic decisions in high leverage situations. Its too bad, because Allen can do special things.
