  1. Easily amused I see. http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/RB...NG/2005/regular
  2. This board always blames everything on the line. The thing is, there are plenty of teams that didn't have top-tier offensive linemen. I really think our run-blocking was adequate. There are plenty of backs in the league that made something out of nothing, Willis never seems to do that. Look at his 20+ yard run stats: http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/RB...NG/2005/regular The logic some of you guys use makes no sense. You desperately cling to the '10th in rushing' last year. So if we gave him an average of 40 carries a game and he led the league in rushing he'd be the greatest of all time right?! Look at his ypc. Look at his 20+ runs. Watch the games!! How many RB in the league could have ran for a 3.8 ypc behind the Bills line? Plenty. He was plain bad last year, and I can't believe everyone here annoints him as being the saviour of the Bills. Let's hope the lost weight translates to some additional speed this year, and gives us the Willis of old.
  3. Take a look for yourself: http://www.nfl.com/stats/playersort/NFL/RB...NG/2005/regular Every single RB below Willis in this '10th' rushing yards ranking had less carries. Also look at his 3.8 ypc average and compare it to the rest of the league. Beyond the stats, Willis just did not run well last year, and was a big part of the offensive problems in my opinion. If he's lighter this year and will have his speed back maybe we'll see a different RB, I sure hope so. His speed is one thing, I think his non-chalent attitude could use an adjustment as well, hopefully the new coaching staff helps that along.
  4. Well, if every team employed one back that got all the carries, he'd be luck to be in the top 25. I am basing it on watching the damn games! He has no breakaway speed that he had in college, and he doesn't want to be a 'hard runner'. You figure it out. On top of this, he doesn't want to be here people! If he had even a decent year last year, he would be holding out right now. He'll be gone the instant his contract is up, if not sooner.
  5. You might want to consider how many teams employ multiple RBs and share carries, Willis got nearly all our carries last year. 10th means almost nothing.
  6. Top 10 through Buffalo Bills rose-coloured glasses maybe. Ask any non-Bills fans and they'll say 21st is about right. Below avg. speed, likes to dance around the line rather than run through it, below avg. quickness, hasn't shown receiving skills, what on earth do you guys base your top-10 on?!
  7. - Willis once again shows us his mouth is faster than his legs (and far bigger than his pea-brain) and shows us he's not an every-down RB - KH will not only make this team, he will be the starting QB - our WRs will be our strong suit, not weak as so many TBD'ers are predicting - our defence can't stop the run
  8. Excuse me?! We drafted him, and paid him to sit on his a$$ for a year. Then, we have watched him be absolutely mediocre, and actually digress last year. And he should get more money??! He signed the deal, now he can play till it expires.
  9. What do you love about him on the field? To me, he's the most overrated Bills player to ever be discussed here. He's an average running back despite what certain people here will tell you. A meathead with below average speed.
  10. I'd take KH over DB any day of the week to lead a football team. Everybody rags on him because of his arm strength, but he knows how to manage a football game, read defences, and go through his progressions a helluva lot better than DB. Did I mention throwing short passes to his checkdowns?
  11. The way you write and spell certainly fits your writing style, very little in the way of facts or intelligent argument, just outright hatred and insults.
  12. It's ok Rob, you could have been 'someone' it just didn't work out for you.
  13. Exhibit A right here folks, ignore the facts and just recycle the same personal insults.
  14. I think Flutie's right, they would have won. How do you bench a guy that led us to the playoffs all year?! Johnson was terrible in the first half, and Flutie would have got us more than 16 points. He deserved to be in that game, and he deserved to be pissed off. "You never want to let the other guy play," Flutie said after learning that Phillips had decided to start Johnson in Buffalo's AFC first-round playoff game today at Tennessee. "That's why you play through injuries, that's why you keep going because you don't want a guy to show what he can do. You give someone just a little window of opportunity and they take advantage of it. Rob did that." Not only that, many teammates spoke out about being absolutely shocked that Flutie would not be the QB, and many also spoke out afterwards. If they hated him so much why all the support?
  15. Not sure what everyone's problem is with Flutie, but he was the last QB that actually led us to the playoffs and brought some excitement to the Buffalo Bills. And the funny thing is, many of the same jokers here that kicked and screamed that Rob Johnson should be our QB, and he was the 'future' are the same people that kick and scream about Kelly Holcomb (who gives us the best chance to win once again). 95% of all the trash about Flutie's ego or attitude comes from fans and media, very little of any of it has ever been substantiated about teammates not liking him, etc. I think it has a lot more to do with the fact that he's small, he came from the CFL, and ultimately New England, so nobody (especially lots of Bills fans from Buffalo), wanted him to succeed. He was always known as a great ball player and a great teammate in the CFL, so I guess he must have went through a 'transformation' when he hit Buffalo. What he did do for us, is win, and make things exciting again, some of you should wake up and realize that and appreciate it.
  16. Oh yeah, forgot to mention he's dumb as a post (possibly dumber than Travis Henry), and his receiving skills out of the backfield seem worse than TH's as well.
  17. I'll take a turn. You people that defend him are even more annoying. He has shown us sub-par speed, poor consistency, a non-chalent attitude, and no sign he has the skillset everyone raved about to be a top-flight back in the NFL. Oh, his comment about being better than LT is completely laughable. Those of you that don't see these things in him are delusional and watched and read far too many pre-NFL games and articles.
  18. I'm from Ottawa, and make it down for at least a game every year.
  19. Not trying to be pretentious or 'sophisticated', I'm Canadian thank you.
  20. If that was supposed to be funny - it wasn't. Only makes you look ignorant. Well, you're speculating. The facts, from the people he pays to make decisions for him, are that he does not want to play for the Buffalo Bills - period. The Bills have to pay him or cut him if he won't renegotiate, and they can do that when they see fit. You guys kicking and screaming that EM is being mistreated need to wake up - or watch some film of him giving up last year and not running his plays like a professional would have.
  21. He WILL play if they honour the contract? When has he ever said that? The Bills WILL either honour his salary, or release him if he refuses to renegotiate, they have no choice. So I have no idea what you are talking about here. EM's 'agent' is the person that said he will not play for the Bills this year, period. Why are these facts so difficult to understand?
  22. And the Bills also have the right to not pay him a cent if he refuses to play for the Bills this year (as he has said) even though he is under contract.
  23. Wrong. How do you know the bills don't have any intention of keeping him under his current contract? You don't! They tried to renegotiate, which happens all the time, but that doesn't mean they wouldn't honour his current deal. It is the bills' right to cut or honour his deal, not EM's. When has he said he *does* want to be here, under any contract?
  24. Right, so you think his 1 game suspension was for doing 'nothing', and if you can't read into his comments throughout the year about not wanting to play with JP, and then clearly dogging his routes under JP as very professional right? His comments about who the QB is are whining. What you don't get, is that he has _no right_ to 'play for a winner' or anyone else for that matter. He's under contract, for a huge amount of money, if he didn't want to be here that long he shouldn't have signed that deal.
  25. You are delusional. Eric Moulds has no 'rights' at this point. He is the property of the Bills, he's under contract, and we can negotiate and/or release him when we see fit. Not to mention the fact that he was a team cancer last year, took numerous plays off, and whined like a baby all while being paid far more than he was worth. Your sympathy for this guy is sickening. This is about the team, not EM. You sound like EM himself, that, or his agent (seriously).
