Buffalo Bills Schedule Discussion / Prediction Thread

This doesn't make much sense as a response. One of the great joys of baseball is that it is there every day and its a long season. It always has been and nothing has changed about it except the playoff format which has pushed it out about 3 more weeks to the end. -

absolutely. I like talking about it and baseball anytime. My point was just I don't need the league constantly needing all the attention. Just to make a counter point here, I don't think it is because of us....its because they want everyone to be like us and just obsess over the NFL all the time. The constant need for attention and marketing dollars is all about selling crap and commanding more of the dwindling tv money. We used to get the draft and the schedule and then life went on until camp and preseason. Now these are events. I mean just give us the schedule. -

this is probably a nonsense twitter account...but anyway. I have a friend that works for a team. I am going to reach out and see if he knows any of the Bills schedule today. EDIT I just reached out and will post anything if I get any info. -

To make this accurate. I watch baseball every night and haven't watched an NHL game in over 20 years. -

they have everyone by the balls and that is why they are such greedy scum. They suck the life out of everything and sometime in the near future they will suck it out of the nfl too. The nfl became amazing on the backs of great players, great teams, great rivalries, great stadiums, great atmospheres, great fan bases, great broadcasters and minimal marketing and selling of the product. Now it all seems backwards. The nfl used to go away and allow the nhl, nba and mlb to breathe. The players got away and so did the fans...then the draft would come and 50% at best of the fans would watch little parts of it....then the nfl would go away again only to return to the zeitgeist in august when camps were going. Its just 24/7 365 now. I love the nfl and always have but enough is enough. We don't need home teams sacrificing home games in europe/mexico and we definitely do not need games on every holiday. Thanksgiving and then the saturdays when college football ended was perfect. anyway. Hopefully the xmas games are like arizona and new orleans or something... then I will definitely not watch and won't care. -
where is the ray ray coming from?

I hate the nfl on xmas eve or xmas day. Can't we have one or two days to eat too much and watch movies with the fam without the nfl having to hijack it. It seems the nfl's plan is to take complete control over every major holiday. There is going to be a july 4th bowl before we know it. I mean come on I just want to have a drink and watch Die Hard without worrying I am missing an important game. -
I enjoyed this. Whoever edited the piece did a very good job. NFL Teams have a tendency to really go over the top with the editing and it drives me crazy. This was very well done. and this cracked me up.

I am thinking they send the Bills to The meadowlands to finish the season. Allen Vs. Rodgers maybe for the division. -

that is why it is likely. The Bills Lions are two teams fans care about. Houston and Dallas also and especially with the Diggs brother scenario on turkey day. Dallas plays washington seemingly every third year on turkey day. If the bills don't play in detroit Green Bay Detroit would be the other likely option. Bills-lions, Texans at Cowboys then the following thursday Bills at Houston makes a lot of sense to me. -

I could see a scenario where Buffalo plays at Detroit on thanksgiving while Houston plays at Dallas on thanksgiving...then the following week Buffalo at houston. normally the last few years they have done this with Dallas....sending them on the road the following thursday... so maybe it changes this year or Buffalo plays at Houston on the thursday before thanksgiving. -
I wouldn't want any athletes autograph. There are about 10 people on the planet i would want an autograph of and they are all musicians.

Looking forward to it. I am hoping for a home game sep 14th so i can plan a trip to the stadium & hopefully get tickets for the the game in houston

Bills sign Chase Claypool, Smoot, Jones
MikePJ76 replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am alone in this thinking but signing Michael Gallup was the best option. He is great guy by all accounts, great in the locker room and fits the mold of the outside wr that they needed. Not a speed guy but a sideline guy that makes the hard catches. Giving him the prove it deal the raiders gave him would have made a lot of sense to me. Not a fan of bad locker room guys. -
excellent. I was scared i was going to have to root for that guy. Miami is perfect
-
after I saw CJ Stroud throw a baseball last week I have lost all respect for him.
-
I think you are a little off here. The transition he is talking about is in the form of locker room leaders and who is going to step up into those roles. I do not believe they have nor should any of us lower the expectations. There will definitely be a learning curve with so many new younger players and veteran players but I see Zero reason to lower expectations. I think you can make a case they improved their ability to be a more physical team this weekend. I get they didn't take a bunch of wr's but the fact that is now going to turn into 4 months of woe is me and they don't know they are doing is frustrating. For the record I think the defensive line is a weak spot on this team. Its just not good enough. I hope they add a proven veteran someway to the team.

Live 2024 NFL Draft thread - Rounds 4-7 (Do NOT tip the Bills pick)
MikePJ76 replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
That international guy struck gold. he is going to be on the bills for years. The league gives teams that take these guys an exemption on their roster....so 3 years from now he could still be developing and just taking snaps in the pre season essentially. -

261. Daequan Hardy, CB, Penn State (5-9, 179) Hardy has the linear burst and toughness required for slot work, but his lack of size and strength will be tough to mask in coverage and run support versus NFL athletes. His value as a return man can help him stay on an NFL roster while he competes for defensive snaps.
