  1. Kind of, but you lost Miller a while back and have adjusted. We lost 3 starters on the oline the last 3 games. And my comment was to magnify the impact those losses have for today. Von is great but I'm not sure he would put the Bills over the top. Our oline and him healthy would probably result in a pick em, IMHO.
  2. As to passing that should give the Bengals an advantage. What is easier to catch; a tight spiral grooved right into the bread basket or a M110 155mm Projectile with flames coming in at 200 mph?
  3. If we had our oline, we win this game. It would be race but our WR's would beat your crippled secondary, the passing would open up some rushing yards, and our D would cause more FG's than TDs. With no oline, it will take a hero game from Burrow for Cincy to win. Bills DBs do not have to cover for long, we most likely will not be able to run any of our deep posts or deep outs. Our run game has been terrible for weeks. The backups on the right side of our line are not good run blockers so it wont get much better. Our defense is much like the Bills, a bit of bend dont break, keep the other team out of the end zone. But without sustained drives and points Allen will wear this defense down. I could see a 7-10 point Bills win.
  4. Carmen is big with long arms, good run blocker. In pass sets he must win early, bull rush is not as effective as speed or spins as Carmen has really bad footwork. There is a reason we immediately converted him to guard upon drafting last season. Thinking about the kid on island vs Rousseau isnt a great feeling.
  5. Thank you sir, I've fought in Fallujah, I like my chances here.
  6. At least your oline has played together and in the same positions. We are a mess. This fascination with Allen's turnovers is hype, the guy still passed for over 350 yds, 3 TDs and rushed for another 20. Bengals fans are more concerned about what the guy can do, not tipped passes or strip sacks, whatever. We will NOT blitz much at all, unlike Miami who seemed to sell out on every play.
  7. Lots of good info here, and I just shared the issues we have with our inactives. I do not intend to hurt your feelings with my presence..
  8. Cappa and Williams are huge losses for us. Trey Flowers is a hit as well, he is our 6'3 TE coverage guy - either be rookie Dax Hill or 5'9 Hilton on Knox at times...Von Bell at 5'11 will get the assignment as well.
  9. You guys kill me.... try being a Bengals fan, coming into Orchard Park vs Josh Allen is bad enough, but we have a 3rd string guard at left tackle, a 4th round rookie at left guard, a waiver claim backup at right guard, and a back up who played guard last season at right tackle. We literally have no idea what happens today, last season with a crap oline our playbook was severely condensed - no 5 step pass schemes whatsoever. The only long balls were go routes vs man press, no team allows that this year. We may be back to the limited plays strategy again.
  10. The only player that really talks on our team is Mixon and he is by far the least intelligent. With his lack of production and $12M cap hit the next 2 seasons not sure how long he is with us.
  11. The Bengals have faired well vs running QBs, but none that could pass like Josh. Lamar is extremely talented but it was very to easy to have 2 spies at a time. Josh is a real problem for the Bengals, but I am less concerned about QB designed runs as I am him just taking off. Either way it isnt good for us.
  12. You guys are both correct in your assessments. The new TV and YouTube contracts are over $100B thru the next 10 years. It will be interesting to see how much goes to the Cap and the increase per position group. Obviously QB & WR have exploded, LB just signed a $100M....
  13. Lol, you want message board posters to be on the look out?
  14. Probably not a big loss for you guys today but looks like Brady has an interview in NJ at 3:30. Unless Josh goes with him as a sign of support. One game is not bigger than a lifelong friendship and a man's career. I'd respect that. 😏
  15. In theory this makes sense and probably works vs our WRs except for Chase. He is excellent at the LOS. Bills winning with a 4 man rush will be very difficult on the Bengals. We will need Burrow to have a hero game to have a chance.
  16. You have watched a lot of Bengals football the past 2 seasons huh?
  17. Good point regarding hands up, out of Burrow's 12 interceptions at least 7 are tipped balls. Way too many.
  18. I appreciate the cordialness. As to your topics: 1. I respectfully disagree, as does the league obviously. Trey did not take an extra roll and was coming hard, and your OT pushed him down. Slow motion isn't the best in a case like this. Thinking a 270 pound man can stop instantly moving forward and pushed doesn't make sense. Several here also agree that it wasn't dirty. 2. I'm a season ticket holder and on every decent message board and social media. No Bengals fan with any sense believes that game was going to be an easy win. That said, that 5-0 record did not include the Bengals... 3. Bills may very well have the best roster. But we lost Chase for several games and won all but the 1st one (other reasons for that one). Not sure the Bills could win many games without Diggs? Has he missed any games this season? We won a game without Boyd and Higgins and Mixon. Mixon missed a few during Chases's absence and we won. So while the Bills may have the better roster top to bottom, Bengals have more depth at skill positions in my opinion. As to position groups: QB - even OL - pre-massacre, even or close enough, after the injuries Bills no doubt. TE - Knox gets the edge RB - its a wash WR - Bengals Edge - Bengals may have the edge with Von out DT - wash: Reader - Oliver CB - Bills LB - its a wash, all 4 LBs are in PFF Top 16 S - Bengals (Bills injuries) K - I like our guy, although he has had some rough exchanges (new snapper & holder) So these rosters are quite close, IMO 4. We can say the very same thing, if we dont hurt ourselves and are able to keep Burrow clean, we can give the Bills all they want. 5. Getting to Burrow is a good point, I think we want to pressure Allen but keep him in the pocket so he cannot work his magic.
  19. I ask because Burrow does much better with pressure from the outside, as he likes to step up into the pocket and has good feel to avoid outside pressure. Anything up the gut is usually a sack. Joe rarely throws the ball away and hardly ever takes risks in losing the ball, he is 2 hands on the ball at all times, and is fine with being sacked. He will take to the very last second to get the ball out with outside rushers coming.
  20. I can tell you we know the Bengals oline this week without a doubt. LT Carmen, considered a 2nd round bust from last year's draft. Couldnt win a spot on a terrible line last year and has practiced the last 2 seasons at guard. Good run blocker, has good length but not good pass block mechanics. LG Volson, 4th round rookie - has good reps and bad ones, improved throughout the season. C Karras, 2nd best lineman next to Cappa, been solid but not overwhelming. RG, Scharping, another former 2nd rounder we picked up off waivers from the Texans this season. Very big guy, not a good run blocker, ok pass blocker. RT Adeniji, started at guard last season, was terrible. He is better at tackle but LT is his spot. Big guy that has been better this season in back up roles, still not confident. The only potential change would be Carmen being beaten out by another sub or practice squad tackle that started for us last year. I liked your point "attacked the QB not the line", very interesting. I have no doubts the Bills defense last week will in no way resemble what we will see. Mixon is beyond a terrible pass blocker, Perine is a good pass blocker. You guys do not need a spy. Jamming Tee or Boyd might work, Chase is a beast at the LOS, not sure I would jam him. The Bills can definitely win at the line on defense but I think you are severely under rating our defense. We are very solid with Hill and Reader in the middle and Hendrickson and Hubbard on the ends. Solid vs the run and we get good pressure, but cant get the sack to save our lives. Very frustrating. We have had excellent LB play as have the Bills. Josh could go for 500 and 4 TDs vs anyone but we have one of the best passing defenses as to completion percentage, even with 2 questionable cornerbacks. We do have good safeties that help a lot.
  21. I’m on a post limit, you want to continue the childish personal attacks, which u seem to prefer, feel free. I’m only discussing ball now.
  22. I know the feeling, we have good pressure rates and no sacks, it is painful at times.
  23. True, but the Pats lucked out to be in that position, much like the Miami game last week, we gifted them way too much. They had one legitimate scoring drive. I would rush 3 as often as possible. Burrow takes coverage sacks and with our oline 3 is all you may need.
