You said you don’t care for it but then said we shouldn’t get sidetracked by his dog and pony show. Trouble is, these despicable acts are an integral part of his presidency. He’s preaching to the choir so that he can gain more and more unchallenged power. He’s deflecting. And it’s working. By not calling him out, you’re empowering him. False choice. Compromise is the opposite of the dualism you suggest. Either/or is easy to imagine but rarely reality. The best solutions often reside in gray areas. MAGAs avoid those areas. The point is that analysts believe trump had a negative influence on conservative candidates and a positive effect on liberal ones. In Canada, voters clearly coalesced against him to protect their country. Hopefully more of the same occurs in Europe.
