I don't think they care. They might not want that but they don't want taxes going to the war. MAGA is all about me, myself and I. They don't get the importance of geopolitics and the balance of power.... -

Fascinating piece written by a long term friend https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12524043/Secret-obsessions-Elon-Musk-friend-confidant-NIALL-FERGUSON-Napoleon-downfall.html -
Progressive corporatists supported providing group rights to members of the middle classes and working classes in order to secure co-operation among the classes. This was in opposition to the Marxist conception of class conflict. Corporatism - Wikipedia Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Corporatism Interesting stuff. Wasn't aware of much of this. perhaps we were each talking about the 2 major branches. Democratic corporatism for me and fascist corporatism for u. https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/social-sciences/corporatism These patterns depend, among other things, on the respective intensities and traditions of democratic and parliamentary government, and state interventionism. They usually oscillate between the two poles of more liberal and market-oriented pluralism, and more regulated and institutionalized corporatism, be it in the authoritarian ‘state-corporatist’ tradition (mostly of fascist extraction) or in the democratic variant of ‘societal corporatism’ or ‘neocorporatism.’

yes, it's hard to decline from that starting point. Fortunately, the actual patients disagree.

he's losing it. his syntax and sentence structure have always been a national embarrassment but these are serious and painfully ironic gaffes... https://www.mediaite.com/politics/cognitively-impaired-biden-will-lead-us-into-world-war-2-warns-trump-in-gaffe-heavy-speech/

Give an example of American marxism that was started by a law passed by congress or a ruling of SCOTUS, in effect, by the government. I can think of a handful right off. Medicare, Medicaid, food stamps, WIC, welfare. Which of these do you feel should be stopped and do you see any consequences in stopping them?

you seem resentful. I can't think of an actual socialist from my college class. In fact, many work in finance, in the heart of the capitalist system. The cost/benefit has been done. On average, people with degrees make much more over the course of a career...enough to offset the cost of school and interest. I've posted the data twice now, from the census bureau I believe. Now, if someone is borrowing every penny, they would be wise to look at cheaper alternatives. I have friends who sent their kids to a local community college while they lived at home. Then transferred to "name" state schools where they got their degrees . I left med school about $100k in debt. Much more in todays dollars. I paid it all off as fast as I could, moonlighting during residency to stop interest from accruing. It can be done without too much long term financial pain if you are trained in a good paying profession or career. BTW, med school was hardly a vacation. About 10% of my class couldn't cut it and dropped out. -

Been there once years ago. Seemed a nice place but, how should I say this, quirky city. Lot's of neat places to go but lot's of homeless and literally insane people on the street. I don't know why they have so many. Weather is only ok. They've had problems for a long time. -
https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/rcna105365 “The defendant has an established practice of issuing inflammatory public statements targeted at individuals or institutions that present an obstacle or challenge to him,” the special counsel's office wrote. pretty difficult to argue against that.

And they should. Catch the criminals and in the meantime get some food options to the decent people living in those areas. Convenience stores and dollar generals don't cut it. It's even a problem for a lot of rural folks. Riots are not good. btw, can any of you righties give me your definition of a Marxist?

Nucking futs https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/jan-6-rioter-likens-herself-to-jesus-i-did-the-right-thing/ar-AA1gIBmh “I did the right thing,” St Cyr said, according to NBC News. “I know it sounds delusional.” St Cyr, 55, of Boise, was convicted in March on two felony counts of civil disorder and several misdemeanors. U.S. District Judge John Bates sentenced St Cyr to 30 months in prison and three years of supervised release. Prosecutors had recommended she serve 33 months in prison due to her history of criminal activity and her dishonorable discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps. She was also ordered to pay thousands of dollars in restitution and fines, including $2,000 to the Architect of the Capitol. After she was sentenced, St Cyr went on Facebook Live to complain about her future in prison. During the video, St Cyr did not take any responsibility for what she did at the Capitol and likened her alleged suffering to the agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, where the Bible says Jesus experienced great anguish but accepted God’s will before he was betrayed, arrested and crucified. “I understood what Jesus felt like when he was in the Garden of Gethsemane praying and felt so alone,” St Cyr said. Matthew Graves, the U.S. attorney for D.C., said in court documents that St Cyr has never been accountable her actions in the 32 months since the deadly riot. -

https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/musk-s-denial-of-ukraine-s-starlink-request-prompts-senate-probe/ar-AA1gJkOI (Bloomberg) -- The Senate Armed Services Committee is looking into national security issues raised by Elon Musk’s decision not to extend the private Starlink satellite network to aid a Ukrainian attack on Russian warships near the Crimean coast. Chairman Jack Reed said in a statement that the reports on the use of Starlink exposed “serious national-security liability issues and the committee is engaged on this issue.” “The committee is aggressively probing this issue from every angle,” he said Thursday.
