yeah, he's losing the game. sadly, he doesn't realize that nothing is going to get better for him under trump or anyone else. he is the problem, not the president. perhaps he'll feel better if the winners do worse to even things out....I'm imagining NC to be much the same. either that or independently wealthy allowing him to post garbage each and every day, hour after hour...

obfuscation. your stock in trade second to propaganda. answer the question: do you want trump as dictator?
-
do you agree that it would be desirable to have trump act as dictator? he thinks you do. is he correct?

Trump gives an interview to Time and says he's going to deport millions of undocumented aliens using the National Guard as his private army, free the Jan 6 traitors, warns that he will incite violence if he loses an "unfair election" and says this: At one point, the Time reporter, Eric Cortellessa, asked Trump if he understood why so many Americans are troubled by what he claimed were his past jokes about being a dictator for one day or terminating the Constitution. The former president replied simply, in one of the most revealing but disquieting answers of the entire interview: “I think a lot of people like it.” He’s not wrong. Trump raced to the Republican nomination, crushing his rivals despite his disgraced exit from Washington in 2021, two impeachments and legal quagmire that would be remarkable for any defendant, let alone a potential future president. His strength shows that millions of Americans support policies that, if implemented, would buckle many of the safeguards on presidential power and that are likely to test the rule of law. What is wrong with you MAGA's? Why do you think a dictatorship would be preferable to our current democracy? probably because so many MAGA's are losing in the current game....

I’m a boomer and I agree we threaded the needle for timing. I don’t agree that we hoard all the cash nor pay no taxes. I think we would all like to control the present and future. I certainly know I don’t. Give a thought to all the advances made, especially in tech, during the boomers boom years. Yeah, greed got big but it has never been small. On the whole, I don’t think we failed society. -

Not in my town...pretty cool. they have prisoners care for them and keep the shelter clean. Regardless, a pure bred bird dog aint gonna last long at a rural shelter. Someone would take a shot a training it or take it as an intelligent, attractive pet. btw, there are breed specific rescues that find good homes for dogs just like this. No charge... -

She didn't need to do it. It was a bird dog. It was likely beautiful. It would have been adopted at a no kill shelter. One things for certain. She'll never be featured in "Gentleman Farmer". She's no gentlewoman. -

I live in the country too. Have had a great many farmers as patients. An early one gave me pick of the litter from a Dalmation litter. He always kept the runts cuz he felt sorry for them....About 1/2 the litter was deaf (if you're looking to buy a Dalmatian bring a pop can with pennies inside- deafness is congenital) I've never heard of a farmer putting down a healthy puppy for behavioral problems. I personally have herding dogs. A good one is quite valuable. A bad one isn't destroyed. They're turned into pets rather than working dogs. Had bird dogs and have hunted with them. A Vet friend actually raised them and I've hunted in reserves with hunting dogs on site. They're treated like royalty and would never be put down for anything other than severe health problems. The governor is the B word here. -
The Klan was big in the 30’s. He was a politician and he was wrong.

purposeful ambiguity: Republican Senator Cory Gardner of Colorado was among those who argued that Trump needed to be more clear about who he was condemning. "This is not a time for vagaries. This isn't a time for innuendo or to allow room to be read between the lines. This is a time to lay blame ... on white supremacists, on white nationalism and on hatred," Gardner said on CNN the day after Trump's initial statement. In response to the criticism, Trump delivered a statement at the White House that explicitly called out racist groups. "Racism is evil. And those who cause violence in its name are criminals and thugs, including the KKK, neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and other hate groups that are repugnant to everything we hold dear as Americans," Trump said. But, that walk back did not last long. The next day during an infrastructure event at Trump Tower, Trump held an impromptu press conference where he seemed to double down on his original comment. He said there was blame on both sides and seemed to equate the actions of the counter protesters with those of the white nationalists. https://www.npr.org/2018/08/11/637665414/a-year-after-charlottesville-not-much-has-changed-for-trump

"Heil Trump"...why would the racists say that?

Another first hand account. The "Heil Trump" chant is particularly disturbing. https://www.newyorker.com/news/as-told-to/a-witness-to-terrorism-in-charlottesville

What a ridiculous post. The organizer is a white supremacist. Most on “his side” were. Do you really think trump meant a couple people on that side were nice people and the rest scum? It’s like saying the civil war was fundamentally about states rights. Ultimately it’s almost always about money as will be the next civil war: the haves against the have nots and their corrupt leaders. A familiar story…

Sounds like another real nice person. I read a bit about him. Two wrongs don't make a right. Still no excuse for the violent white supremacist rally that they held. Or for having any ambiguity on who the good guys and bad guys were in the President's statements. It wasn't the State police that started the fight or staged a rally in anticipation of it. Blame the nazi scum.
-
The statue was an issue long before the rally. Trump never mentioned it before. But all of a sudden this rally happens and he makes ridiculous comments. As I recall, trump disavowed scumbag white supremacists a day after he made the very nice people comment. It was either grossly irresponsible or was purposely ambiguous to make that statement. As far as what happened at the statue, the good students of UVA were on the good guys side: At the Rotunda,[149] the group encountered a group of about 30 counterprotesters, mostly UVA students, who had locked arms around a statue of Thomas Jefferson. The white nationalists encircled the smaller group of counterprotesters at the base of the statue, and a brawl ensued.[131][147][148][149] Several people on both sides were reportedly hit with pepper spray, and several people were treated for minor injuries.[146] The white nationalists began swinging and throwing their lit tiki torches amid the chaos.[149] It was several minutes before Virginia State Police came to break up the brawl.[147][150] Who do you expect white supremacists will vote for in Nov? Why?

This guy organized it and applied for the permit. No doubt he's "very nice" and was certainly on one side. He led that side. But he's very nice... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Kessler

I can think of many reasons: cuz they're criminals or are about to be, job insecurity if ID'ed, marital problems, reputation in their area or trailer park etc...
