  1. That was my first thought. On further review, I think it's more complicated. Roles are changing. Some are adjusting, some are not. The frustration of those that are not is unhealthy for them and the country.
  2. Saw this discussion yesterday. My knee jerk response was "cry me a river". But the stats are astonishing. 4x the avg suicide rate, low relationship rates, high unemployment , low college graduation rates etc. Women meanwhile are gaining. Higher incomes, higher graduation rates, more selective choices of mates (by and large consideration of only horizontal or upward socioeconomic romantic relationships with men). Who's to blame if anyone? What's the solution? Is it a real issue?
  3. Biden. And I'm happy he dropped out when his health problems became clear.
  4. I was being nice. We don't want you. Neither does the trump party. He doesn't want you within a mile of mar a lago. Just another useful idiot for him.
  5. did you vote for Haley in the primary?
  6. They don't care. Have lost all sense of direciion. whatever their messiah or his handlers say is good... Can't appeal to rationality. There isn''t any.
  7. He's a top 5 QB,. He plays for the Bills. we've been a top team since shortly after he joined. people say silly things. Ignore them.
  8. We have big tent, sorry it's not a fit for you.
  9. Kudos dude. we're all happy (why are you voting for trump?). This started about what constitutes a "working man". You've done nothing to dispel my notion the C 3 and I are. Hard work is hard work.
  10. no, I mean voters who put great weight on reproductive rights, exactly the suburban women you describe. The IVF support doesn't address their concerns over choice. And I don't think many believe him on that. They remember how he manipulated scotus to overturn roe. so he loses the far right anti abortion group over IVF and gains few suburban women. I think his calculus is awful.
  11. The saddest thing is that trump is arguably less dangerous as a crazy man than when he is sane.
  12. They’re appealing to people who think it’s their right to obtain controlled substances just because they want them. Cartoon characters are appropriate and apparently effective. I don’t see any pro choice voters changing their vote to trump because of ivf
  13. the one thing of rather limited value (other than entertainment) of frequenting this site is the affirmation that many MAGAs are truly stupid. It's like their brains never fully developed. Ie's pretty scary. No wonder they're so easily manipulated.
  14. You are clueless. Consider this: Were I 20 years younger, I could likely work at your job (at least as an apprentice) with minimal training. I probably wouldn't like it but I could do it. You couldn't do my job without many years of training and even then, you likely don't have the capacity. This really is the MAGA versus educated battle distilled down to its essence. No one made you do a physically demanding job anymore than someone made me do a mentally demanding one. Stop playing victim. I don't feel victimized in the least.
  15. There's a reason morons aren't allowed to write their own prescriptions.
  16. Many white collar workers start their own biz. We know what it's like to make payroll, to fund profit sharing, to be exhausted. To go home with a beeper that goes off at the most inopportune times and removes you from home. Very often to take care of someone who won't pat you (ie uninsured).. Bleeding hands or bleeding heart, they're both substantial. C'mon, back pain? Tell a surgeon. You have no claim of authority over who works hard. Pi$$es me off.
  17. need to read more but local sources are a good place to start https://www.denver7.com/news/front-range/aurora/tren-de-aragua-components-operating-in-aurora-but-reports-of-tda-influence-are-isolated-city-says In a statement Wednesday, Ryan Luby, deputy director of the city's communications and marketing department, said Aurora PD has established a special task force with other partners to "specifically address concerns" about TdA and "other criminal activity affecting migrant communities." Luby confirmed that "components of TdA are operating in Aurora." Police are "increasingly collecting evidence to show the gang is connected to crimes in the area." However, Luby said it would be "improper at this time for the city and APD to make any conclusory statements about specific incidents." At this time, investigators believe "reports of TdA influence in Aurora are isolated," according to Luby. He concluded his statement by urging victims of crime to come forward and report it to law enforcement.
  18. An entirely different Miranda. Schmaltzy but fine...
  19. I'm truly interested in your motives for a thumbs down to my response to C3. Is it that you don't agree about his posts? That I admire them? Or that you don't think white collar jobs can be tough, even grueling? splain...
  20. I admire your posts. Do you work? I worked my ass off. I'll bet you do too. I hate the implication that anybody not blue collar has it sweet. Just not true.
  21. Great debate fellas. More of this please. He doesn't care about anything except what is expedient. Abortion policy is whatever he thinks will help him. If people can't see that it's all about him, then they're lost souls. Write them off. does anyone else think she is a doppelgänger for Tiffany Trump?
  22. He miscalculated. Big mistake.
  23. https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2024/08/29/lila-rose-abortion-trump-interview-00176619 Uh oh. He's losing his base. can't see3m to find a happy medium. Cuz he panders to extremists and absolutists. Live by the sword... My] direct quote is that “they’re making it impossible” for us. This is an active thing. The recent statements that they have been making — increasingly pro-abortion statements — and the positions that they are choosing to take are making it untenable for pro-life voters to get out the vote for them. This is, unfortunately, the path that they’ve chosen.
  24. Thanks. I hope the new 538 model is better than the old one in 2016. Shows the uncertainty and the importance of trends imo.
  25. seems to be a discrepancy. I note the site you linked is interactive https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2024-election-forecast/ Harris 58% trump 42 chance of winning
