  1. I can't explain it, but this sentence has a strange poetry that brings my mind to a complete halt.
  2. Woo hoo! I didn't know this. I will be buying this promptly. Bob Odenkirk should get some kind of Pulitzer Prize for excellence in smartassery!
  3. They seem to be getting more comfortable (I listened to a couple pre-season games and they were shaky at first). One thing I like is AVP's knowledge of the X's & O's. He gives lots of detail including, for example, which guard made which key block, or missed which assignment, etc... He really knows, of course, the NFL playbook and this gives the listener a deeper understanding I think. I think they will become a very good team. The only thing that takes some getting used to is that AVP does not have a strong radio voice (or delivery). It kind of sounds like some guy you know got to be on the radio.
  4. Here's a scary thought: Who will be getting induced 20 to 25 years from now? The White Stripes maybe? I honestly can't think of anybody else worthy. There are lots of bands I like, but they're all kind of small-time.
  5. I second the outrage for not including... Black Sabbath Kiss Van Halen The Stooges / Iggy Let me add one more: Alice Cooper R&FHoF = RJ
  6. gringo starr = 11 letters! And guess what... I was once 11 years old! Also, this weekend I drank 11 beers and went to the bathroom 11 times. I have $11 in the bank, my dog's IQ is 11 and I have 11 dark brown hairs on my right big toe.
  7. Your prophecy is so specific. I can't really see past next week. Yes, I think we have a very good chance to get to 1-1. Other than that, who knows?
  8. 1. Willis looked good in the 4th quarter. But how much of that can we attribute to Travis's hard work in the first 3 quarters? (Often, if you do it right, the 1st half's 2 & 3 yard gains pave the way for the 7+ yard gains late in the game) ...and a related question... 2. If they played another quarter (or OT), maybe we would really have reaped the benefits of pounding the ball. Anybody else see this as a positive to build on?
  9. NO NO NO NO NO! We WIN over the Raiders (Bills 50, Raiders 7) Then we squeak one out against the Pats (Bills 27, Pats 21) ...and are 2-1 going into the bye. This is a very reliable scenario because it is based on very solid information that I have gathered from my imagination. Take it to the bank! p.s. I'm not crazy
  10. So let me get this straight... we can't celebrate when we do well and we can't complain when we stink it up? What can we do? Sit quietly and fondly remember some old AFL days?
  11. I saw that too. Man, he had those floppy balogna breasts a-bouncin'! Where's the fire in Buffalo? Why won't somebody get mad? Or excited? Something besides DEPRESSED...
  12. Please excuse me for stating the obvious. We need some everlovin', muthergrabbin' TOUCHDOWNS! I feel like we're always criticizing & putting undue pressure on the defense. They only allowed 13 points. That's pretty damn good all things considered. I felt jealous watching some of the other games this weekend. Seems like everybody else in the league gets to enjoy a little thing called BIG PLAYS ON OFFENSE. WTF? Watching the Bills makes you feel like a touchdown is some rare mystical commodity, like oooh, maybe someday we can get one of these. Next week, let's see some confidence on offense! If the players can learn that the endzone is not something to be afraid of, then I think we will win some games. I say they get a little pissed off and take it out against the Raiders. Prediction: Bills 91, Raiders 6. Is that too much to ask?
  13. Oof, what will this board be like next off-season if we go 5-11? Not pretty.
  14. I was replying to a general question about Muslims. I don't understand why you are attacking me here and calling me dumb. It seems way out of proportion. I don't know what your problem is.
  15. Cool. If we ever meet up, the first round's on me.
  16. I work in a cubicle. Also, I don't have a lot of money and sometimes I like to watch TV. I guess I better go blow my brains out.
  17. I don't really care about a Bledsoe TD. If vanilla schemes get vanilla results, that's ok. I just wanna see more progress with the O-line in pass protection. To me, this is the thing that remains a big question mark.
  18. At the risk of sounding insensitive, I think this FACT plays a major role... The Muslim religion does advocate murder if it is done to further the "will of God." Further, Muslim extremists believe that sacrificing oneself for the "will of God" gains you a privelaged place in heaven, as a hero. Now a personal opinion: I believe that this is another example of the dangers of religious (read: "non-rational") thinking with regards to morality.
  19. There is plenty of good music from any era, including this one. You just have to look below the surface. I do agree though that the surface right now looks mighty bad. Usher? Hoo boy! No thank you please!
  20. I was gonna, but then I decided it would be more entertaining to slowly tear all the skin off my legs. I was right.
  21. Well, I guess I spoke too soon. Millbank just reported, via ESPN, that it's a sprain, not a tear. Sorry Travis, welcome back, you strange mystical SOB!
  22. Wow, that IS good news. I'm still curious to see how TD will handle this, but this is a pleasant surprise.
  23. "Believe it or not I have a great peace over me right now." - Travis Brown, after getting his knee ruined and probably about to be unemployed. Whatever, buddy. Enjoy that peace. Take care, we hardly even knew ya.
