  1. I’m very curious to see how the Iggles react to Brandon Graham retiring - meaning who’s gonna keep Jalen out of trouble. The kid has been compared to Jerome Brown (I see why) and he also likes to do stupid stuff while driving. Just a thought. I can’t hate the Iggles, best friend is a lifelong fan and writer for the team.

Ralph for the record was absolutely cheap.  I think he gave his daughter on his death bed his favorite watch for a 15% discount.  The cash to cap nonsense was ridiculous.  We wouldn’t have Allen, Beane, McDermott, or a new stadium.

We’d have Frank Reich as coach trying to tudor Kenny Pickett and we’d have a 7,000 sign Aaron Rodgers thread going.

Ralph actually endured burying an adult child, one who was deeply involved in the organization, and responsible for our drafting of Jerry Butler. This is why Ralph took the hospice network in Buffalo under his wing financially. I’m pretty sure you don’t know this, based upon n the initial comment, but he lost his only offspring and it affected him profoundly. I’ll say it again, Ralph was an insurance guy and that caused him to have a difficult time quantifying the impact/salary equation. However, as a human, you quite possibly could find no better example of graciousness and kindness. He quite literally funded Buffalo and Detroit in some specific areas that had profound impacts on him. That is a sign of a noble person and I hope people in similar situations follow his lead.

    maybe could be an h-back?

For those of us old enough to remember Pete Metzellars, he’s his long lost cousin. The guy is the best blocking TE to come into the NFL in a very long time. If he can catch, and not even run, he’s going to be Josh’s best friend, soon. He’s one of the newbies I’m looking forward to watching.

  4. He would be extremely jealous of the contracts and guarantees that each and every player earns. Ralph, being an insurance guy, had a difficult time weighing salary decisions. You see, the first rule of finance is to mitigate risk, and I truly think he had a terribly difficult time dumping big $$’s into a few guys - early. I appreciate him being our founder, but he was a miserable owner - especially during early and mid ownership eras. May the old guy rest in peace and worry not about my opinion…

  5. The system is very kind to CB’s. We’re gonna be ok. A “serious camp battle” will be Jackson and Ingram vying for the last CB spot. The loser spends time on the practice squad until a season ending injury occurs.

He is definitely NOT an idiot... he is one of the smartest people in this nation and are very lucky to have him. Come on now

Well, he refuses to believe in the possibility of there being NHI in the universe that has visited our giant ball of rock. This makes many believe he’s short-sighted or obstinate.

I've gotten the impression that Kincaid plays more like a large wide-out than a tight-end. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

This is it right here. He’s more of a split end than a tight end.

  8. Terrible. The backseat of golf carts are dangerous. My own BIL was in an accident - fell off the back - and suffered a TBI. Can no longer teach school but is learning to plumb.

  9. May he rest in peace and may his friends and family remember the good times only, in time. I’m certain our paths crossed at some point, being from Olean; Cuba is Olean’s vacation spot. Cuba Lake that is.

  10. I’ve read the article again and still found no Buffalo Bills-related information. McAfee didn’t play for Buffalo and I think this needs to be in a different forum. I mean, when I posted about needing at-game assistance for some Tuck’s wipes and it was promptly removed. I was at the Titans game in OP back in, I believe, 2009. The weather was beautiful (warm) and I’d overindulged some wings the night before.

  11. I never had the privilege of watching Byrd or James. Byrd is highly regarded as a CB, as was James. Of those I’ve witnessed, Derrick Burroughs was every bit as good as Odomes and his career was cut short due to a neck injury. If he hadn’t gotten hurt, our defense would’ve been even better. He was replaced by Kirby Jackson, who should’ve been relegated to a nickel role. Winfield is right there with Burroughs and Odomes and Winfield was one of my favorite players along with McGee. BTW, Belichick used to rave about McGee. That says a lot.

And I actually agree with this in theory.  My issue is that I don't see this as a very star heavy draft.  I think there are a few of them, but I am not sure I see enough major impact players that will make it into the middle of the round.  I actually think there is a good chance you get the same player in terms of quality at 30 as you would at say 18 or 19.  Just not sure it is worth all you will have to give up to get there.  In other drafts, sure.....but I just don't see this one as a heavy star-laden draft.  But that's just me.  If Beane sees a guy in the late teens that he truly believes is one of the top players in the draft then, by all means, go get him.  As I sit here today, I just don't know who that guy is that will be worth using a 2nd rounder plus probably another pick to go up and get.  Now, if you want to move up a few spots by giving up a 4th or 5th, fine.....  But I am not eager to part with a 2nd for 10 spots or so in this draft.

    And pray.
