No that would mean Jones or Oliver were probably playing pretty crappy.

Although he is a liability, I've definitely seen way worse safety play. Johnson was complete trash for example.

I would trade him and a sixth round pick the the Steelers for a 7th. I had high hopes for Johnson, was such a good run defender for the Canes. Not bad in coverage either.

This off season they've brought in Morrow and drafted LBer late combined with how almost secretive they have been about the Milano injury since day 1 while having a guy they liked enough to draft in Round 3 last year and Spector. And now this.

They aren't approaching the LBer room in a way that leads me to believe they think an All Pro LBer is returning at the start of the season. Not saying he's not, of course. Just taking a lot of bites at the LBer apple for a team that only plays 2 at a time (with some coverage on STs.)

This is exactly what I thought when they announced this signing.

Very Beane like. I’m a fan if 2 to 3 of those picks from rounds two to five are WRs. Hoping pick 33 is Mitchell

Mitchell has Type 1 diabetes and does not take good care of himself, diet-wise. He can be tough to handle in meetings and it’s a chore to make him practice hard.

Agreed the Buffalo Bills have major problems in there secondary we let guys go for cap reasons only to waste money on backup quarterback like it matters and backup running back. If Bills fans wonder why don’t the Bills win the Super Bowl for all these years. Stuff like this is why the Bills were miss managed by Ralph Wilson and Terry Pegula with the management people they hire are flawed. The Bills have wasted money backups that are a dime a dozen like Cam Lewis who I would have cut last season his play was so bad the Bills give him a raise and especially Mitch Trubisky that were both a waste of money. I can find Mitch Trubisky on the street after the UFL season is over if I need a quarterback if Josh Allen potentially went down. It’s not like it matters if Josh Allen goes down the Bills is basically all over. Mitch Trubisky isn’t saving the Bills season. Mitch Trubisky failed with Chicago Bears and Pittsburgh Steelers but the Bills think they are the smartest team in the NFL and way over pay for Mitch Trubisky ridiculous. Oh I know Mitch Trubisky is a fine young man. You can see the Kansas City Chiefs are getting stronger and the Buffalo Bills are getting weaker by wasting what little cap space and money they have on backups. Oh I know Buffalo Super Fan the Bills are going to get that all in the NFL draft for pennies on the dollar keep telling yourself that as a Bills fan. This Bills fan says the Bills aren’t going to solve what they cut all in the draft. The Bills needed to focus on secondary help not backup quarterback and running backs in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Every position is important and signing Trubisky at the amount we did is perfectly fine. Coach is very good at drafting and developing DB’s. We have a DB friendly system - except for the safeties. Damar is a shining example of someone being incapable of developing at S. In short, we must have 2-3 more safeties brought to camp, hoping that 1 is capable of starting and maybe two backups. This is the most concerning problem going into the rest of the offseason.

Oh, I wouldn't be so certain. It takes a lot of wishful thinking to call center a position of strength right now.

If Beane and his scouts all think there's a stud C out there in the 2nd round that can be Josh's "Kent Hull" for the next decade, I bet they would pull the trigger. There's past precedent that they value the position too when they made Morse the highest paid C in the league.

What’s McGovern’s contract? We overpaid for Morse because we had to overpay for Morse. Morse is a good center but nothing special, especially when considering his concussion history. He’s on borrowed time. We moved on at the right time and got lucky this past season.

Not on center necessarily, but I really want one of the 4th round picks to go to OL. We have to keep the pipeline full on that line.

Of our top 4 picks, 2 each on O and D makes sense to me. WR, S, DT/DE and OL.

There’s no pipeline to fill. The OL has 9 spots on the opening day roster. Guys we pick, when we don’t have a spot open, are just picked up on the waiver wire at cut down day. Just look at the last 4 final cuts.

  7. Not happening. Edward’s was re-signed to start. We are not investing early-round draft capital on a position of strength. Bates was traded for draft capital, he was the heir apparent at C and became expendable when Edwards signed, because Edwards signed. Edwards is a more-than-capable G and McGovern will do fine at C. End of story. No IOL in rounds 1-3 and probably until the sixth round. (Unless they’re true to the board in Rd 5.) And God I hope I’m right. Let Kromer develop like he is now. He’s a very underrated/highly regarded positional coach, if that’s even possible. I think it may be more of him wanting to do his stuff his way and some HC’s get bothered by it. I say let him work his magic. Sorry for the ramble…
