The QB school - Josh Allen Week 2 analysis - JT O'Sullivan
RoscoeParrish replied to Fixxxer's topic in The Stadium Wall
The 4th and 3 plays are the kind of play calls Mahomes has benefitted from basically his whole career with Reid, especially in the red zone. Its really nice that Brady has some things In his bag of tricks that basically require Allen to do little besides make a quick pass. -
Does this mean much? Sure, the Jags have weirdly had our number. Zach Taylor can’t beat the Browns. BB and Brady used to inexplicably lose the Dolphins in Miami with Philbin and Tannehill like 50% of the time Some teams have bad matchups. Doesn’t make them bad coaches.

Will Miami start taking calls on Hill?
RoscoeParrish replied to RoscoeParrish's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think it can be both. If Miami eats a lot of cap, he isn’t going to cost that much to a new team. -

Doesn’t that mean the Dolphins have to pay more? not great at contracts so I’m not sure. -
After last night, Tua’s career may be in jeopardy. Tyreek has a base salary of only $1.2M this season. The Dolphins trading him now will accelerate his cap hit for next season, but still save them money. He’s already 30 and most speed guys don’t have much longer shelf life at that age. If I was Miami, I think I move on now while I can still recoup some value. But they probably have a different opinion. So what do you think? Does Hill finish the season in a Dolphin uniform?

Being the leagues only 2-0 team in a league where only 2 teams have played 2 games is a very funny stat.

You know, I think there is some room to ask for more from Brady. I don’t think you’re way off base. What I will give him credit for is: Keeping Josh out of harms way in a game where we didn’t need him to be Superman. I personally suspect his left hand is actually broken. Clearly adjusting from Week 1 to get Kincaid more involved by using him as a screen guy behind the LOS. You can debate if this is a very effective way to use him or not, but there was a clear effort to get him more involved and he turned a couple 3-4 yard passes in longer gains. Exactly right. Allen has made exactly one “mistake” in 2 games, a fumble from a blindside hit. He is playing almost perfect ball right now.

They dominated an opponent without their best player having to be dominant. Pretty good stuff. -

It’s the biggest problem with McDaniel. @HappyDays is not wrong. McDaniel has a gift for offensive design. But he cannot get out of his own way with the calls. McDermott lets him hang himself, which he does, every. Single. Time. -

It’s legitimately not a problem. McDermott is shutting down an offense with two elite deep threats, one of them arguably the best WR in football. McDermott is doing this with DAMAR HAMLIN AND TAYLOR RAPP in coverage and a gaggle of less than JAGS at linebacker. And Tua can’t complete a pass past the line of scrimmage. McDaniel and his creativity are no match for McDermott.
